The boys are back.....the boys are back.....you can tell I have two young adult males in my house now.....the food keeps disappearing immediately. hahaha. Really, we spent $200 at the supermarket two weeks in a row. John said for him and I we spent $200 for a whole month. I need to do some major budget adjustments and hope that they get jobs soon so that they can help pay for groceries.

ouch!!!

may I recommend PB&J??? or ramin noodles??

I started watching the 911 memorial tribute today at 8:30am. They are still reading the names at 1:00pm. It always amazes me at how long it takes....there were so many people lost. They are up to the W's now. After the ceremony is over, I will watch some football games. I need good old fashioned USA sports to help celebrate life and balance out my day a little.

I can't watch...I've had the tv on HGTV since I got up. No disrespect to those whose lives were lost, but it's too much for me.

last couple of nights have been early nights :lmao: fell asleep about 1am.

Mowed & edged the lawn yesterday, put down some weed killer & with Will & Mickey's help, trimmed/cut the branches off the small tree in my back yard.

Trying to see if I have any desire to do anything today. My eyes are still burning/itching from yesterday & they're driving me CRAZY!!

Oh yeah... got another piece I brought home too! :goodvibes

Give them Bologna until they get a job... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: that'll get them out fast enough.. maybe... :scared1:

Tom is out buying all the Sunday papers right now. I have to say, he has been very diligent about trying to find work. He interviews and they like him and give him favorable compliments and tell him to call back in a week. When he calls back they tell him, oh we got so many applications that you need to call us back again in another week. Then he gets discouraged. But he keeps on trying. Apparently it's very difficult to get a job in my neck of the woods. I have never seen the job market this bad before. It's scary.

that sounds like it would be a good idea...I probably wouldn't get there until about 945pm tho.

That's fine. We'll be there and would love to see you before the F&W. So that's on Friday night 9/30....whenever you get there is good.

I know....but they have been told that they didn't matter the whole time they were with Joe for the last ten years. We try to cook crock pot meals and things that will fill you up, but are less expensive. We're not eating steak every night.....but we're cooking and eating.

John and I talked about the additional expense to our budget and we decided that no matter what it takes, it's worth it to give the boys a chance in life. They can't be on the street with no jobs thinking that no one cares. I can't have that.

It's too much for me too, but somehow I still have to do it. It's like I'm compelled. It's okay though coz now it's over and football is on. I'm doing better.

I was really joking.....I'm sure that when they're able they will help out with the expenses. Funny thing for me, is that I'm actually craving the flavor of PB&J....I've been having it for lunch every day this week. I'd have some now, except that I've run out of bread :rotfl:

I should go out & pull the weeds that I treated yesterday, but really don't want to. I should also go to Publix, but don't really want to either :lmao: Feeling a bit lazy today.

I LOVE PB&J....which really, is not all that cheap. I can do pasta for less and it lasts longer. Then I'll do mac and cheese and rice a roni and throw veggies in each one. That's what I ate when I was single and food was the lowest thing on the list in the budget. It filled me up and it was healthy and cheap. I think we'll need some of those foods around here.

Then take a lazy day and do Publix tomorrow and pull weeds for a half hour every lunch hour during the week. It will get done. :goodvibes

They actually have lived in FL longer than I have...but off of US192, so about 30 min drive (depending on traffic). They were renting, but now have purchased a house w/ a pool. Mickey's mom still lives in TX, but she should be moved in here by the end of the year.

DUH! I had to go back and re-read this all. I thought you meant your mom and dad bought a house near you, so I thought that meant they were moving to FL, so I was thinking what do you mean they've lived in FL longer than you, they don't even live in the U.S.?! Uggghhh......I must have been reading in a hurry, LOL!!!! :rotfl2: I'm straightened out now. :rotfl:

I just became friends on FB w/ my 1st serious boyfriend :rotfl2: We dated for 2+ years (junior/senior years in high school, plus a few months into freshman year in college). Ahhhh...the memories ;)

Aw, how sweet! :lovestruc

Here's my next dream house...

I'll never get it... but you know... :cloud9::cloud9:
Very similar layout as my brother's house in TN (same size though), except you have to walk through his laundry room to get to the garage, and his master bedroom has a hot tub just outside the bathroom. But almost the same layout other than that. I think it's crazy for him to have a house that big for just one person, but to each his own, LOL! ;)

I KNOW where Apollo 18 is...

It's laying on it's side in Monument Park at Johnson Space Center in Houston...

Mark and Brian's middle school is across the street from there... They were excited that there was a sports field at the school... & i'm driving down the road going "OMG.. there's a ROCKET!!!"

And there's an itty bitty person standing there too! :rotfl:

So Monica, did you call him yet? Don't leave us hanging! :thumbsup2

It's not easy getting work ANYWHERE.. Em's temping still and she knows she's been lucky to get that...
