Next weekend we're going up to Binghamton NY to my baby cousin's baby's first birthday.....Little Jeff....or Lil J...as his parents call him. Look how cute he is:

Good job sticking with WW Holly. I know that I have to go back on it again, but I'm procrastinating.....guess I'm just not ready mentally yet. I give you lots of cheers for having the motivation!! You're very inspiring.

Sorry about the ginea piggies....I'm sure you could always give them back to a pet store, except that Tyler will miss them. Hopefully they will live short, but happy lives.

Deb, tomorrow will only be 2 weeks so far doing WW, so don't be inspired yet, LOL! ;) I had honestly forgotten how easy it is. I remember now how shocked I was before that I was still eating what I like, I just have to budget it in and plan in advance. I mean geez, I even had an elephant ear at the fair the first week and still lost 3 pounds that first week, LOL! ;) It's insane! I have no idea why it works, but it does. Granted, I'm not eating my fave Chinese take out every day, but did have it once last week and that's enough to satisfy my craving. Looking forward to my 2nd weigh in tomorrow morning. I cheated and peeked at the scale this morning to make sure it's going in the right direction, but am not counting it as a weigh in until official weigh in day tomorrow morning. :thumbsup2 So as of last Monday, 3 pounds down, 70 to go and hopefully tomorrow I'll have more to report. It's a start!

About the guinea pigs, now that their cage is clean, I'm fine with them for another week, LOL! They're very cute and so entertaining to watch! One of them makes me mad though. He keeps flipping his food dish over and then squeals for food, really loud and high pitched, whenever he hears a bag rattle. He doesn't like the food he's got. Picky eater!

Hi Shell. Is the nasacort helping at all? It's working for me and I hope it's working for you too.

Nothing new and exciting going on this weekend. Tom is cooking home cooked meals for us. John said he could get used to being spoiled. We wake up and the coffee is made in the morning. Nice. He really has turned his attitude around 360 degrees from the first time that he was here. He was still a teen then going to high school. He just turned 20 this past April and it seems he has grown up a lot. He's good company to have around.

So glad things are so different now with Tom! :goodvibes

Once again, SO ADORABLE!!! I also love the one on FB where he's in a sailor suit. Such a cutie pie!!!!! :goodvibes

A load of laundry going, hoping to clean a bit more in my bedroom, and trying to get motivated to go outside and pull weeds. It's super humid, but I need to get it done, or at least get a good start and Tyler can help me finish tonight after I pick him up. Need to do a grocery run before I pick him up too, and hoping to rent Rango to watch tonight. Nothing exciting going on. :thumbsup2

It's helping thanks... also the break in the heat is too. :goodvibes

Tom grew up Deb... he grew up... :thumbsup2

THE HEAT IS OVER!!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Comfortably in the 80's... I like it this way... was actually cool when we went to Oliver's this morning.

Having corned beef tonight for dinner... we sort of do 2 St. Pat's day's a year... :thumbsup2

Tonight I start pulling weeds. Couldn't do much more than water things in the heat.

All is quiet on the homefront today. John is doing his laundry and I've got to do a load of towels.

Tom decided that he wants to go to vetrinarian school. He has always loved animals and has worked with them with my neighbor Mike when he was younger and lived here. He is still hoping for a job with the local vet on the corner. But last week when he called, the hiring person was out having surgery. He will call them again tomorrow. In the meantime, there's a job fair on Tuesday that he's going to attend. He has his resume ready. Then he wants to apply to the local community college to take classes to become a vet tech and start there. It's a two year program for $8k total. He can apply for student loans. He's going to do as much online as he can while he gets a job and works. I'm very proud of Tom now....like Michelle says.....he grew up. I agree.

Sounds great! :thumbsup2

I only lasted a half hour pulling weeds. Way too humid still. Weather report says "real feel" is 95, and that's definitely accurate from my short time out there. Yuck.

Last night for dinner Tom made us chicken and broccoli fettachini alfredo. It was delicious. Tonight no one feels like cooking so we're doing subway. We can send Tom out to get it. Oh how nice it is to have a grandkid around to do your grunt work for you. hahaha.

Holly, stay hydrated and don't overdo it. Even if it's not over 100 degrees, 95 is still exhausting. It's not worth getting sick over. You'll do them as you can when the weather permits.

Yeah, I know. I stopped when it got hard to breathe. Was drinking lots of water the whole time. I'm done for the day. :thumbsup2

Deb - Which Canada cruise in Sept are you doing?

Hi Gydell, Sept 7th. It's five days up the Northern coast to Eastern Canada. It's embarkment day, sea day, Halifax NS, St. John NB, sea day and then off the boat. It's early Sept and we usually have an Indian Summer so the temps stay warm in the middle of the day and you'll get to see the foliage changing in the ports. It should be beautiful. The price is very reasonable too....just over $2k for my verandah room. It won't cost me anything in transportation there and back so I couldn't say no.

Besides, it's mine and John's dream to sail under the Verrazano Bridge (leaving NY Harbor) on the Magic in 5122....awesome!!!!

So I went to the local town pool on Friday. It was 105 degrees and more crowded than usual. I didn't do my walking because of it. I just stayed to the side and did some leg exercises, but I spent most of the three hours that I was there in the water. Yesterday and today, I'm sick. I have swollen glands and a sore throat. I can't go anywhere in public and interacting with others where I don't get sick.

Tomorrow afternoon I'm taking Ray to another doctor appointment. He has to see the Urologist. I hope I feel better. Either way, I've got to take him. Maybe Tom can help if I need it.
