Holly - way to go with the cleaning!! even if the cleaning police needs to prod you :lmao: It's it great to see floor?

I'm using you as inspiration to keep me going - I'm happy knowing that it's not just me :goodvibes

I ended up doing some cleaning in my bathroom last night (about 1130pm). Threw out a bunch of stuff & organized others. Just need to clean the floor, shower & bathtub now & it's all perfect.

I have lofty ideas of what I'll be doing on Saturday. I need to deal with the lawn (including the back) and hope to do a little more work on the garage. I'm hoping to enlist the help of Will....Mickey's out of town this week, so Will's lonely.

Hope your son stays safe Jan, since they are still experiencing huge aftershocks.

Tom got home Saturday--safe, sound and exhausted. We have no report yet on his experience. And, as far as the after-shocks, we do not know if he felt any because Sarah asked him to not tell her about it until he got home.

.

:thumbsup2 WAY TO GO HOLLY WITH THE CLEANING AND WEIGHT WATCHERS !!!

Slow and steady wins the race! :car:
Keep us posted--we can cheer and encourage. :cheer2:
If you are ever discouraged about your progress let us buck you up. :grouphug:

:yay: cheers and hugs for everyone--whatever you need :grouphug:

Thanks Jan! :thumbsup2 The problem is I'm not stocked with the right foods to eat better, and can't go grocery shopping until payday this Friday, so it would have been smarter for me to wait until I was able to load up on better foods, but I couldn't ignore that small voice of motivation that popped into my head. I knew I had to grab hold while it was there. I think I'll be OK with what we have on hand because I've been buying better foods anyway. :thumbsup2

Monica, I honestly think we've been inspiring each other. Reading your continued work on cleaning has been keeping me going at it. :thumbsup2

I think Tyler is outside doing some yard work right now. After supper he wanted to to outside to "enjoy the nice weather", and I told him I'll join him shortly. :thumbsup2

Great job on your continued cleaning/yard work! :goodvibes

Yup-- that's what "slow and steady" means ! A series of choices, each as good as possible at the time. When you say "I should have done so and so, you then plan for the next time, because there will be a next time.

Makes perfect sense, thanks! :goodvibes

Hi everyone!!!

Not sure if I checked in earlier... I've been back to bed twice today - finally got some antibiotics and it seems to want to break, but I keep getting waves of

I've decided tomorrow will be better...

Congrats on the WW decision!!!

I went off the lyrica 2 weeks ago and have lost @ 5 lbs already... that was one of the side effects... weight gain - that I didn't like. Now maybe I can fit into some of my clothes again.

As to cleaning? I'm lucky I've run the dishwasher and loaded and emptied it.

I got Brooks BBQ for dinner tonight. They do the charity catering and whenever they are in the area I make sure I get some. It was the first normal meal I've had in a week... they were at one of the local fire depts.

Mom is doing good up at the cape. The whole crew will be there tomorrow. Kenney and Will arrived today, Emma tomorrow. They are going for lobster on Thursday I hear.

Shell, if the whole family is there.....why didn't you go too?

YEAH.....I survived yesterday, just barely, but I made it!! I left the house at 9:30am and didn't return until 5pm. That's a really long day for me to be out without vacation drugs. It was over 90 degrees too.

I had to help Ray with his walker in and out of the car everywhere we went. I took Ray to two doctors and ran errands and had lunch with him. Ray went to the eye doctor and to his GP doctor. As a result, he now has to see a urologist, a podiatrist and an opthamologist. I also got a call from my GP doc saying that they got the results of blood tests that me and John did last weekend and we both have to go in and see the doctor. Nothing serious, a recall on one of John's meds and high cholesterol for me.

It sounds like it's time to go back to WW for me too. At least now I have a car so I can go and shop and cook. That way I can stay on the program. Shopping is the hardest part of WW. It's the key to your success or not.

I told Tom, after 50 you spend more of your time with doctors for either yourself or your elders or both.

Today I'm taking Tom to motor vehicle to take his motorcycle permit test. Then we're going to talk to a mechanic down the road to see if he can work on John's old bike. Tom has inherited it and wants to get it in good working order and then take his motorcycle road test with it. He said the best thing is that it's good on gas. I told him he had to respect the fact that riding it could kill him and to never drive carelessly.

Tom is really happy living here now. He's growing up. He applied for a job down the road at our local vetrinary office. They are looking for help. Since Tom used to work for my neighbor Mike with his "zoo" animals, he has lots of experience. So we're keeping our fingers crossed that he gets this job. He loves all animals and I think he will really enjoy working at the vet's office.

Deb, I hope Tom gets the job! Sounds like it would be perfect for him. Fingers crossed! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Well, not the WHOLE family... Kim didn't go and Maysie's down the shore working...

I don't get invited to the cape... which is just as well... I'd kill my brother by day two... :)

Michelle, are you feeling better today?

Deb, any word on the job at the vet for Tom?

Well....kill your brother or not....you SHOULD have been invited. WHAT is wrong with your family? Don't they know how precious it is to have siblings and family members around who support and love each other. How could they just exclude you?

I only got one brother and one mother. That was my whole family. My dad and mom split when we were young. My mom and bro are very much alike. I was the one that was different. But despite our differences and battles, we always supported and loved each other. Mom is gone now and me and my bro are all we've got. We are such different people, but we are there for each other.

You guys have to learn how to work it out. Accept each others differences and weaknesses. Love them unconditionally. My mother always told me, I know all your strenghs and all your weaknesses and I love you despite everything.

That's what it's all about Shell. It's not just you and mom....you have lots of brothers and sisters. It's about time you set them straight. Go show up on the Cape and crash that party!!!!

Nothing yet Holly. Tom filled out the application on Saturday and they told him that the manager would not be in until Monday to look at them. Then they were going to wait until they received all the applications to review them and then call people in for interviews. Tom said he'll wait until next Monday to call because it will be one week since the manager got his application. He said he'll tell them that he is willing to volunteer and work there for a week so that they can evaluate him and his work habits.....just to get his foot in the door. Then they will know that he is seriously interested. I think it's a great idea. We have to wait until Monday.

Holly, I get email notifications of all the DIS and FB postings. I read your post that you deleted. I just want to hug you for moments like that and praise you for handling it the way you did. You did the right thing. Remember, it's just an illness that meds can correct. It's trial and error when you add or delete medications. You will find the balance again. Hugs.
