I had a great times on my 50th Birthday Party and it was lovely colour Pink & Black Rock & Roll...

Great pics! As an Old Geezer, can't wait for your 60th. Keep the pink :dance3::dance3:

So... as a GIT... what IS the official age for becoming a Geezer?

60, but you are a long long way off that!!:thumbsup2 You aren't 50 are you? That is official GIT age. I really don't think you are 50!!!!!!

Fab photos Deborah, and it looks like you had a fun time. I still think you have made a mistake with your age!

Absolutely agree :thumbsup2 Great photos, you have the BEST parties! I think you could continue to celebrate 50 for a number of years ;)

What is everyone doing for shoes.....should I bring boots?

I have a pair of waterproof shoes (duckies) that I'm bringing along. I'm afraid that if it does pour rain during one of my excursions that my sneakers will take too long to dry out.If I didn't have the duckies I would just be bringing an extra pair of sneakers. I think boots might be too hot :confused3

Nope... I guess I'm still in Pre-GIT.... But can I still come and have cookies?

It sounds like everyone is preparing for a cold, damp vacation... I can get that at home... :sad2:

Hi Michelle :yay:

Well, preparing...but still hoping for the best :) It is pouring rain here right now too BUT the scenery in Alaska will far exceed the beauty of my neighbourhood ;)

Hi Karl!!! Nice to see you... were your seats as good as they were at the other games? I have this dream to take in a game in each of the MLB parks with my nephew... I imagine it will take a while and they will have built new stadiums we'd have to go back to... Quality time... :thumbsup2

Of course...I'm PROMISED Brian that when Mike Piazza makes the Hall of Fame that we'd make a weekend out of it and go to the induction ceremony (I took him to one a few years ago... it was cool...)

Hi Kathe!!! :yay:

sounds good! :goodvibes
I wish they all had one checked bag free

I was wrong. I read it wrong yesterday. $20 for 1st and 2nd checked bags, but since the fare dropped, it ends up fine. :thumbsup2 My trip over to LA is on Southwest, who still has first bag free. :goodvibes

I love those kinds of Bible studies!!!

We had a Home Group once that did a 'social' once a month and one of them we had a Chocolate theme. Oh my goodness.:love::love::love:

Yum!!! Well, last week was healthy stuff, veggies, fruits, crackers & cheese, so I guess everybody wanted sweets this time. ;)

No waterproof pants for us either

Me either. My legs never get cold. And if they do, it's just for a little while. I don't even wear snow pants when skiing or sledding, so I'm sure I'll be fine without waterproof pants in AK. :thumbsup2 I'm not buying anything extra to take with us, we'll just make do with what we have and will be fine. :goodvibes

Holly,

SW allows 2 free bags checked per passenger.

Cool, thanks! I don't think I've ever travelled with more than 1 checked, so I was just focused on our 1 each being free. Guess I could take more, LOL! ;)

No waterproof pants for us either. We only have two Alaska excursions.....one is a train ride so we don't have to worry about getting wet and the other is the whale watching. For that I'll wear sweat pants with a thin raincoat that I'm bringing. I'll layer under it.

What is everyone doing for shoes.....should I bring boots?

We're just bringing tennis shoes. I doubt there will be inches of snow to walk through, so I don't see the need for boots. But I suppose some might be more comfortable in them. I'm determined to still travel light, so no boots for us. The average temps in AK will be right for the clothes I usually wear to work, and what Tyler usually wears to school, and a spring jacket each. But we both are always warm, so what will be comfortable for us might not be for others. From what I've been checking, it will be like early spring temps.

Deborah, loved loved loved the birthday Rock and Roll party and pictures. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.

I agree with Marilyn, you certainly don't look like you are anywhere near fifty. Keep doing what you're doing because it's working for you!!!

I second that!!!! Deborah, I think you look the same age as me, and I'm 40, so you MUST be 40! :thumbsup2 And I love the wigs Ian and Keith were wearing, too funny!!!! :lmao:

I'm booking car services this week. We'll need one to and from JFK because that's where we are flying in and out of. Then I thought I would hire one from the hotel to the port in LA. I think I can take cabs everywhere else.

Since we have so many transitions from one place to another, John and I are only packing one suitcase each. We have two large rolling duffles. We will use those and not even take a carry on bag. You're going to see me wear a lot of repeat outfits......hahaha.......:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Deb, same here on the luggage and outfits. I told Tyler we'll probably each only bring 4 outfits and will do laundry as needed. I'd rather spend 2 hours doing laundry a couple times than try to lug so much luggage. Tyler's not much help yet in that regard, especially after a long day of travel. He gets whiney and tired and frustrated when the rolling suitcase tips sideways while he's pulling it, so it's just easiest if I drag it all. Otherwise it would take twice as long to get anywhere and I'd end up yelling at him. :thumbsup2

It's supposed to be 60 here on Friday!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I can't wait... I think I might try putting on shorts.. but crap... I'd have to shave my legs... :rotfl2:

We're birds of a feather in that regard, LOL! I figure, why bother if nobody can see my legs? ;)
