Hi Shannon! Sounds like you are getting some yucky weather! I hate having rain in the winter, I'd much rather have sun and cold. It has been extremely cold here the last few days,but sunny. It was very mild here today as well, but we got just a little bit of drizzle.

It has been a pretty bad winter hasn't it? It was predicted that our part of North America was going to be in the "winter battle zone."

I just think I really need some sun or at least some natural light. I leave for work when it's dark, I go home when it's dark and given the architecture of the building I work in, we really get no natural light near my work group, and my cube gets no natural light at all.

I'm feeling light deprived.

Well... lets see... I have snow everywhere... two townhouses on either side that stick out rather rudely... & mom is taking up ice climbing on the icicles that are hanging from the roof outside her window...

Trying to pick excursions. Tyler and I spent a long time reading about all the ones through DCL. Of course in Juneau we're doing the whale watching boat with everybody. In Ketchikan we're doing "Totem Traditions and Potlatch Park" and in Skagway we're doing "Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp" (that is, if there's still availability).

And in San Francisco we're doing a tour of Alcatraz with Heather & family, on our own, not through DCL. That should be it. That's plenty.

Holly... make sure you get tickets BEFORE you leave for the trip. You cannot just walk up to the ticket window and get onto the island. They limit the amount of people who can get onto the island.

Thanks Michelle. No worries. I've been there before and Heather is from the area, so we've got it covered.

Got a phone call today from the TA, because of a promo going on where kids are free for the Alaska cruise in window and veranda rooms, we're getting a window for $400 less than the inside room! Of course that means we now have to switch rooms in Vancouver, it's worth the hassle for the good deal. Yay! So we're in 5137 (i think) for LA to VAN and 1058 for Alaska.

Well... it looks like I might be going to TX in August...

and I thought I MIGHT be able to get away with ONE year with not going there...

I chatted with Mark yesterday and supposedly the date for the wedding is August 6th... I TRIED to remind him that I like to go to the lake during that time... (but I'd come to his wedding...) There will be food... which is good... cause it's a bit tacky for me to run out to Micky D's to get burgers part way through... Not sure about a bar... maybe a 6 pack will do...

This is NOT going to be your normal wedding... I think we're eating fajitas...

Won't QUITE top my cousins wedding (the mother of the cousin with the crazy husband in the article...) Their wedding party was a motorcycle gang...(this is back in the Hells Angels days...) I showed up to the church and then realized I was WAY overdressed. the wedding party got arrested on the way to the reception. & there was my poor Great Aunt Grace... all dressed up in her fur and fancy hat and everyone else was dressed in leather....
