Just PIF for our Jan PC cruise, so making a few plans.

Did any here take DCL transportation from the port to DL? How did it go? Long to wait or plenty of buses in line to take you? Did you stop at all the hotels or just one bus per hotel?

Thanks.

Cheri, if you are with Dreams, you have to PIF by Tuesday.

We took the DCL bus from San Pedro to DL after the last Mexican Riviera cruise in 2008. There were plenty of buses and I'm pretty sure each one was resort specific...

Marilyn...

We took the busses from the port to the Grand Californian... Getting the luggage was no problem. Make sure your luggage gets ON the bus before you yourself get on the bus. One of our bags was missing when we got to the hotel... (mine as it happened to be... :rolleyes1) Everyone was GREAT about finding it. (phone calls going back and forth... bell services bending over backwards to find it...) (it had gone back to the port by mistake... someone going to the DL Hotel had grabbed it (our bags looked alike) and they had stopped there first...) I had the bag by that night IN my room :worship: :worship: by the time I got back from the parks... :thumbsup2)

There HAD been some problems, but this was the first cruise back in a while and I think the resorts and such were getting adjusted to it.

I'd recommend it. In the end it went well for us.

Ah thanks Karen. It would be so helpful if they were resort specific.(What a cool term - resort specific. Wish i had thought of that!)

Thanks Michelle. Good tip there. We had limo transfers last time as we thought it would be the only time so splashed out!!! Also it was my 60th trip!!;) Need to try and save a few pennies this time.

Quiet day today...

Got much cooler. Only in the 70's...

Hitting Jacks for our final time this summer... :sad2: :sad2: They close tomorrow for the season...

Doesn't seem 5 minutes since you were celebrating them opening Michelle.

I know... this year went so fast... it seems like yesterday I was trying to find my lost car after the July 4th fireworks!!! :rotfl:

I have to go and check to see what the flavor is today... but I might just go for my usual chocolate/vanilla twist...

Not sure what I'm eating otherwise... I'm sort of burger'd out this summer...

Can't believe the summer is 'over' for most folks (well, I can for the folks still in school!). It's going to be at least 110 here today. :cool2: Possibly record highs this weekend. I still have about a month to wait to even think it might be fall.

Peg went to NM to visit a friend who lives in the mountains and is enjoying cooler weather. Jose and the puppies stopped by here while doing errands this morning and I'll probably stop by there for a swim after the sun goes down...otherwise I'll be in somewhere air conditioned for the next three days!

So how is England today? :flower3:

Really nice where we are thanks. Been a beautiful week. Rain coming Tuesday though, but it really has felt wonderful.

Why do they close for winter?

Why do they close for winter?

Snow...

it IS outside... and it does get cold here...

But I don't understand why it closes on Labor Day weekend (which this is over here...)

I imagine the owner likes to go someplace warm for the winter. And I do believe that Jumpin Jacks was paid off LONG ago... (the current owner has owned it since the 80's) So he probably takes the profits and does something else the rest of the year. (and we go through Jack Burger withdrawal... :sad1:)

Gotta run out to the bank...

The QM keeps mumbling about being able to pay for dinner...

Just came back... it's blowing quite a bit out there... thinking of taking mittens with me tonight...:rotfl: :rotfl:

No he's not old Marilyn. Mom was only 74 when we lost her and that was only by two weeks. Teddy is her younger brother by 8 years.

I couldn't not care, he has always beent there for me so it's my turn to be there for him.

:hug::hug::hug:

It's only 60 here! It was supposed to reach 63, but never got above 60. I had a couple windows open though because I was cleaning and sweating (even though it's only 66 in in the house). Need to close the windows now, and I'm headed out to get some lunch. :thumbsup2 Well, actually, it's breakfast, lunch and supper combined. I haven't eaten yet because I didn't get up until 2pm. :rotfl2: NOT back to my awful sleeping all day phase, I just didn't get home until 5:30am. :rotfl: Went straight from work to the casino! Didn't win anything, but had an absolutely wonderful blast playing the slot machines! :goodvibes Paid some attention to the cat and guinea pigs when I got home, got everybody fed, then got 8 hours of sleep and am rested and working on cleaning. I haven't got much done though, because Tyler and his dad, stepmom, and sister came over for a while. She's really close to walking, but is stubborn about it. She just loves the guinea pigs and always stares at them in fascination whenever she's here. :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, I can't imagine that heat! I'd be miserable! Wish I could send some of this cool air your way.
