Heading to bed extra early... can't keep my eyes open... hope I make it through the whole night...

I've got the laundry going....Casey and Brittany are about half way here by now. Uncle Teddy is home from the hospital. I spent the day getting him seen by a home health agency nurse. They will be sending him an aide two times a week for four hours a day. His aide is Diane. That was my mother's name. How appropriate. Me and my cousin Mike are splitting the costs. It's only going to be temporary until Uncle Teddy's ribs heal. And it will be good for him to have some company. He's 68 years old and this is the first time that he has ever lived alone. It's an adjustment.

Oh my goodness, he's not old is he? I got the impression he must be in his 80's.

Got a message from Kaylee before...

They have arrived here in Albany... they are tired (I can only imagine after a trip like that...) and are resting before the surgery tomorrow.

I told her not to hesitate to call me if they needed anything...I'm only 1/2 hr away...

So... lets all send up good thoughts for her for tomorrow!

Karl - I'm hoping DCL does like other cruise lines (like Holland America)....

Leave from CA (LA, San Diego) to Hawaii (island hop) then back w/ a stop somewhere in Mexico (international port) then back to CA.

Other cruise lines do this either as a 12 or 14 night cruise. Ahhhhh, those sea days

Are most of us looking at the May cruise?? (I am)

Indeed, Deb, you are a gem! He is blessed to have you in his family.

It's ok Jan....Uncle Teddy lives on Long Island still. His two boys....Doug and Mike don't live there anymore. Doug lives in Florida with his mom who he takes care of. He does more for her than I did for my mom. And he has a son. So he has enough on his plate. Plus he is not well himself. Mike lives in Seattle. He is splittling the costs with me. But both sons are very involved in knowing what is going on for his care and Mike travels a lot for his job so he always makes it a point to stop by and see his Dad. It's a family affair....everyone is involved in some way or another. We all email and copy each other so we're on the same page and up to date.

No he's not old Marilyn. Mom was only 74 when we lost her and that was only by two weeks. Teddy is her younger brother by 8 years.

I couldn't not care, he has always beent there for me so it's my turn to be there for him.

I'm going to pick up Ray and we're going to make our way over to the hotel. We'll pick up the kids and go to the mausoleum to see mom then we're going out to lunch and doing some shopping at the outlets. It should be an easy day. It's dark and cloudy here today, but no rain and no wind. That's fine with me.

she's having a procedure done to help her with the MS...

Haven't heard from then yet... maybe won't... I told her not to worry about me... we can visit another time... She needs her rest.
