I looked at those last night and am heading off to read the trip report this morning!

.

There is a TV show called "ManTracker" and if you aren't familiar withthe show, he is an Albertan cowboy who tracks people in the woods. The show is a "reality TV" show where 2 ppl are put in the middle of the woods somewhere and are given a map and a compass and told to beat ManTracker to the objective. Mantracker has his horse, a local guide and his wits to help him catch the 2 "fugitives" before they reach the objective (which is unknown to him).

Last summer the show was filmed near Quesnel. I have found one of the episodes on youtube. The one show is broken up into 6 parts. If you have some time to kill and want to see my "backyard" here is the link to the show:

http://www.youtube.com/user/Mantrackerfan#p/u/5/431N3rg9PO4

In this episode 2 actors from Hollywood try and take on ManTracker.

The town of "Barkerville" in this episode is a National Historic site and is about 1 hour drive from our house. We have been there many many many many times

Very cool... I'll have to take a look later...

Mom and I are going to see Tangled tonight... it has finally arrrived at Scotia...:goodvibes

More snow tomorrow... they are calling for 7 to 12 inches... I guess I'd better write the check out and drop it off at Jay's house for LAST weeks plowing...

:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes Very cool! I am so envious of everyone who will get to sail on the Dream! DCL is going to have to come up with something pretty exciting later in 2012 to make me even think about cancelling my Fantasy cruise :cool1:

Enjoy! I somehow got talked into going to see The Black Swan tomorrow :scared1: From what I've heard, I'll be crouched down in my seat with my eyes closed for much of it :lmao:

It has started snowing here too. I haven't listened to a weather report today. Hope we aren't getting as much as you

Hi Kathe!!! :yay:

Nothing will take you away from the Fantasy... I think it's gonna take a week or more to really appreciate the ship... not just the couple of days... (it's gonna take me a couple of days to find my way around...)

It looks incredible, but I don't think it will have the intimacy of the Magic and the Wonder. :goodvibes

Wow, the pics of the Roy suite are awesome! The bathtub is cool! And the hot tub on the balcony, awesome! :goodvibes

 Hello everybody!

Ken and Shannon, FYI we will be in vancouver Aug 21-23 before we board the Wonder

Okay, dates are noted! We'd love to meet up with you.:thumbsup2

Not a whole lot to tell about the wedding yet except that it is booked and will be held on board the Dream. DCL doesn't even know where they are holding the weddings yet. DD is hoping that the ceremony can be held somewhere outside. CC weddings cost $1000 more than on board.:scared1: Way too much money. So on board it is! At least that way the wedding won't cut into my precious CC hours. I just LOVE that island!:goodvibes

As for pics...I am still a computer dummy but I am sure that DD would be more than happy to post some for me. She is so excited! Time is really flying by. The wedding cruise will be here before we know it.

Donna

How exciting to be planning a wedding on the ship.:goodvibes

And I'd love to go to NF this summer, but its a huge maybe for me. But definitely keep us in the loop on what dates the NF/Buffalo meet is planned for.

I may be late with this but here goes -

From Mousesavers:

Last-Minute Restricted Stateroom Discounts from DCL

In January 2011, Disney will begin offering a new way to save if you are flexible about your stateroom location and willing to book "last minute," meaning 21-75 days prior to departure.

When offered, new "Restricted" room categories be offered on select sailings at the discretion of Disney Cruise Line operations. If offered, here’s what you will see online:

Inside Stateroom with Restrictions (GTY IGT)

Oceanview Stateroom with Restrictions (GTY OGT)

Verandah Stateroom with Restrictions (GTY VGT)

These categories may provide a great rate if you are flexible with your stateroom location, but as the name suggests, they are heavily restricted, with a lot of rules.

Important details you need to know:

You will not be able to select a stateroom number or make special requests as to stateroom location. The stateroom is assigned at the discretion of Disney Cruise Line within a week of cruise departure. The only guarantee will be Inside, Outside or Verandah (based on the bookable category code listed).

Applies to new bookings only. Existing reservations cannot be modified to these new categories.

Full payment is due at time of booking. Booking holds are not permitted.

Reservation is non-refundable.

Reservation and applied payment are non-transferable.

Full legal names and birthdates for all stateroom occupants are required at time of booking.

Name changes after the reservation number is confirmed will not be permitted.

Sail date, stateroom category and cruise itinerary changes are not permitted once a reservation number is confirmed.

Not combinable with any discount or promotional offers, with the exception of $25 onboard credit for bookings made online and Disney Visa benefits.

The “Verandah Stateroom with Restrictions” category allows for a maximum of four stateroom occupants.

Restrictions and booking rules are subject to change.

Hi everyone!

Quick "drive by" - super dooper busy at work thanks to the weather. We took over 600 calls yesterday, and we don't even have 10 agents. I worked from 712am-6pm. No scheduled OT for today (may get it tho if it's crazy about 530pm), and have 1hr scheduled so far for tomorrow.

So far I've got just shy of 7 hrs of OT on the books for this week. Need that $ for shore excursions for Alaska ;):thumbsup2

Hope everyone is doing well - know that I think of you often (when I can think :rotfl:).

Love you all!

Hmmm.......this might just be right up my alley for re-booking the Alaska. I couldn't pay on final payment date, because I'd planned all along on paying for it with my tax refund. My tax refund is scheduled to be deposited 1/28, so I'm only gambling for a couple weeks, hoping there are still rooms. I checked recently on DCL's website and found no more inside cabins, but there was a navigator verandah for the same price as what my inside cabin was that I just cancelled, so things are looking good! Let's just hope things are still looking good when I'm able to book on 1/28.

Anyone trying to book ressies for the LA repo/Alaska.....the DCL site is now up an working. It was down for the past 24 hours and it was just as frustrating as the night of the fishies. But it's back up now....so go book.....Palo, excursions, spa.;)

When did you get Palo's?

Holly, when they offer these discounts it won't be any sooner than 75 days before sail date...and could be as late as 21 days before sail date.

I was able to get on during this lunch hour and booked a Palo dinner for the 1st Sea Day of the repo. Brunch and tea were already gone (and seems they were already gone when the site came up).

Didn't book any excursions at this time, as that will all depend on extra cash (kind of saving excursion $$ for Alaska).

.

When did you get Palo's?

I only did Palo and spa for Alaska. I did excursions for LA. We're doing Palo brunch on the first sea day on the Alaskan. I didn't book any Palo for LA because I won't have enough time. It's only 6 nights.....I have 3 days of excursions and I'm doing a champagne girls tasting. That's four busy days out of 6. That's enough. For Alaska, the only excursion I'm doing is the whale watching with the group. So that will be all relaxation.

Oops. I did see that when I read it, I just got over-excited, thinking that it seems to be coming up so soon, I was thinking we surely must be within 75 days before sail date. Oops, a bit too eager! Thanks Jackie! :thumbsup2

Holly... you're supposed to be over here shoveling my driveway... :rotfl:
