We aren't going any where for Christmas this year. We have, shockingly, decided to have Christmas in our new home. In fact, we are having an non-invited family Christmas. Apparently 19 of our relatives are coming over for Christmas dinner - none of which did we extend an invite to.

It all got started by my sister who is now 9 months pregnant and scheduled to have a c-section on Jan 5th. When she found out we were moving to Prince George, she said that we would most likely be wanting to have Christmas in our new home, and because she doesn't want to cook at 9 months pregnant, she was inviting herself and her family over to ours for dinner. My other sister heard this and said she was coming too. Well seeing as how both of my sisters were coming, it was only, apparently, logical that my father and step mother come too. Well Shannon's family couldn't miss out on a get to together so her parents are coming and not to be left out, her sister and husband and their 3 kids have joined in the festivities as well. That only leaves Shannon's Aunt out, so she might as well come along - it's not like one more person is going to make a difference.

That's our plans. So long as I get turkey and lots of it - I'll be happy! ;)

Sounds like ALOT of fun! :dance3::woohoo: Our Thanksgivings are like that, they just grew and grew. Wonderful memories for your children with cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents. :goodvibes

Thanks  I'm really not anticipating any problems, but I guess one never knows. Marilyn, did you take calcium supplements because you have been diagnosed with a problem, or just as a preventive? I have never taken supplements, but I do drink milk and eat dairy products at least once most days.

I just started taking them after the menopause and after I stopped the HRT. I don't have too much dairy produce(hate milk) to be honest so thought it a good thing to take. The one I found at the local health food store had magnesium and zinc in also, and the zinc is good for resisting infection.

When I remember, I take a multi vitamin, Omega 3 oil capsule(or a fish oil capsule) and high dose Vitamin D after Kaylee first suggested it, and then Angie and Dennis. I never thought I would be someone who took supplements to be honest!!!

Welcome to Friday

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY! :)

Hugs to all who need them. :grouphug:

Sorry, that's all I've got. Been sick all night overnight and half of today, still have to wrap Tyler's presents and hide them, go out for a couple groceries, pick him up from his dad's at 9pm because I get Christmas this year, then church at 10pm, then rush him to bed so I can toss his presents under the tree & collapse in bed. I hope to get it all done without throwing up, but am pretty sure I'm past that part, just now left weak & shaky.

Happy Holidays! :) Thanks to all who sent Christmas cards! :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all! Think of you all often.:goodvibes

Holly, I will gladly take one of those hugs and send some back to you. Hope you feel better soon. It seems like it has been a rough year for a lot of us. Hoping that 2011 is better!

Donna

Get some rest and I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure Santa will spread some Christmas magic on your bed tonight to help you feel better in the morn.

Merry Christmas Holly.

I love that pic of Tyler with the Claus'. Looks great.

Happy Christmas eve.....for all the Thieves going on the Alaska cruise.....you'll want to know about the email that I got from Sue Ellen a few minutes ago regarding final payment. Holly, your TA was right....read on:

EMAIL RECEIVED FROM SUE ELLEN TONIGHT:

Merry Christmas to you Deb--
I was just reviewing my files and see that your Alaska cruise for May 3rd final payment is coming up. It’s due by January 3rd. The balance due is $3381.12.
Let me know how you would like to proceed. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

Sue Ellen

MY RESPONSE:

Hi Sue Ellen,

Happy Christmas to you too.

I'm stunned by this news. I have paperwork saying that it's due February 10th. I don't have anything saying January 3rd. I was waiting until after the holidays and I was planning on paying it off during the month of January. Can you please double check and get back to me.

Thanks,
Deb

SUE ELLEN'S RESPONSE:

Same here Deb—I got a fax notice from Disney today as a reminder showing it due by the 3rd, and I had February 10th listed as well (because you have the back to back cruises.) I guess the final payment on the Alaska cruises is earlier than the others—not sure when that changed. I had them check it again today to make sure since I was showing the February date!

Merry Christmas Thieves.....

Love the picture of Tyler, thanks Holly.....so sorry you're not feeling great. I hope you feel much better tomorrow and good luck getting it all done tonight.

We took Ray out to dinner tonight then opened his presents at Mrs. Bush's with coffee and dessert. We came home and opened the kid's presents. John got money on his audio books account and I got diamond earrings....so it was quick and simple this year.

Tomorrow morning we're going to see Uncle Teddy on Long Island. He'll be alone. We're doing Christmas and birthday with him. We're bringing cake and bubbly. We're just going for the day. We'll be home chilling on Sunday.....sleeping through football games. I'll have to record them since it's the end of the season.....do or die time.

Out to dinner with Ray:

Hi Donna. Nice to see you. How are you, and how is your husband?

Deb, I seem to remember Holly mentioning that the PIF date was earlier than she thought and she had to back out of the cruise at that time. Perhaps some TA's knew and some didn't?

Merry Christmas Holly.

Thanks Ken, I actually felt able to eat half a bagel by the time we got home from church last night. And this morning I feel 100% better. Was able to eat breakfast with Tyler.

I was amazed by how real this Santa looked. But I do notice that Tyler looks too grown up to fit on Santa's lap! ;)

Uh oh. That's not good. Certainly can't pull a couple thousand dollars out of nowhere in a matter of days. :( I might have to cancel and re-book at the end of January. But I just got an email from my TA earlier in the week that said I'd need to pay in full by that early date to be able to book things but that otherwise payment is due 70 days before sail date. That totally relieved me because I was planning on paying the end of January, so now I'm confused.

:santa: Merry Christmas :santa:

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and everyone who was feeling poorly is in much better shape today! :grouphug:

Regarding Alaska, I always had 1/3 in my notes as final payment day, but that's probably because I went on line and looked up the 75/90/120 dates for all my cruises and remembered that Alaska was due at 120 days.

.

Hugs to everyone as you try to cope and help with your loved ones :grouphug: It's hard to see our parents aging and starting to have health issues. I went to visit my in-laws last week, my MIL is having a very hard time with her memory. She has aged so much in the last year. She also has a blood disorder and has been having transfusions for the last couple of years.
.
I'm sorry to hear about your MIL. The blood disorder sounds like it may be what my Dad had.

.
 MERRY. CHRISTMAS. TO. ALL. :santa:

Wonder why the Alaska cruises have different final payment dates than other cruises??? I'm sure it is marketing somehow. Perhaps so that people won't cancel when the rest of 2012 dates are released???? Skeptical.

Thanks Ken, I actually felt able to eat half a bagel by the time we got home from church last night. And this morning I feel 100% better. Was able to eat breakfast with Tyler.

Holly, that IS the real Santa, isn't it?? Sure looks it to me. :santa:

Re Alaska, I just spoke with my TA a few days ago to get info about adding my mom, then told her I would probably be calling back next week to pay her deposit, so it would have been nice if I'd have thought about double checking final payment due date while I had her on the phone. I just wasn't thinking. Well, it's not sold out, so I'll have to hope it stays that way and I can cancel and then re-book a couple weeks later. It will work out, I'm not worried. :thumbsup2
