Have fun in Toronto. We went there for Grey Cup a couple years ago, and it was a neat city. I liked the CN tower, which has a section with a glass floor. The Hockey Hall of Fame was really well done, and Kaleigh liked shooting a hockey puck. :goodvibes
Oh, we'll have fun! :goodvibes I showed Tyler pictures of the glass floor in the CN Tower and he says "We HAVE to do that!" :thumbsup2 I've been to the Hockey Hall of Fame before, but I NEED to go again. I couldn't go to Toronto without! Tyler's not thrilled, but I told him "too bad". He has no choice. ;)

:woohoo:I'm happy to say I had FUN playing soccer. :thumbsup2 Its definitely better with the right shoes and shin guards so I wasn't worried about getting kicked, and it was easier to run. I started a C25K program about a month ago, and am enjoying that on my own. I figured between soccer and running, I'm going to get more fit!:goodvibes
Tomorrow I'm taking a vacation day to go for another job interview. I've interviewed with this company before for quality jobs similar to what I'm already doing and both times, they've ended up hiring from within instead. This time, its a temp accounting job for one year, so maybe they don't have anyone internal that wants it. I have low expectations for this one, but it'll be another learning experience.
Other job search news, I got an email from a company that I applied to last year, saying they had kept my resume from that one because they were intrigued by my industrial experience combined with the accounting, and are now looking for a more senior accountant and want to know if I'd be interested in an interview. So I said yes, and we'll see what happens.

Great job with soccer and running! I'm assuming C25K is something to do with running? And good luck on the job searching, the one you applied to last year that contacted you sounds promising! :thumbsup2

Been trying to be better about exercise....my sis challenged me to the Princess 1/2 marathon in Feb (sorry if I already posted that)....went walking about the neighborhood Monday & yesterday. Am thinking of buying the annual pass again.....figure 1 turn around Showcase Lagoon is 1.1 miles - might as well walk around the parks, right?? :rolleyes1

That will also allow me to do any DIS meet inside the park again.
This is great, Monica! :goodvibes I need somebody local to motivate me, somebody to actually knock on my door and say, come on, we're walking right now. ;)

Also... I MAY be having a guest next week... so I guess I'd better start cleaning... :scared1: (I hate cleaning... really I do...:sad2:)

Well just get it done, over with and that's it!!!

I hope your mom had a nice trip.

Michelle, I hate it just as much! BUT.....I've taken on Marilyn's advice. Made a decision a few days ago that I'm going to try to get as much done as possible starting this week after Tyler goes to his dad's. We haven't been home enough while he's been with me to do any cleaning, so Sunday evening I will start. :thumbsup2 I actually designated a day for each room and put it on my PDA, so it feels more official that way. Sure, I know I'm not going to be able to do one room a day in the short time between work and bedtime, but my plan is still to work as far as I can on each room each designated day, and see how far I get this week. Then I'll do a new schedule for next week, and so on. :thumbsup2

A couple of my favorite pixs from the cruise. Sorry about the size!

NEVER apologize for size on this thread, we'd only complain if they're too SMALL! :rotfl:

GREAT pics! Gydell, you look amazing and wow, Brent sure is growing up! :goodvibes

Yeah... I have to clean out the closet in her room too...

I'm thinking boxes... then I can go through it the following week... just as long as the closets aren't opened I should be ok...

I need one of those professionals that comes in and organizes you... at least they won't have to bring a dumpster for my house... :scared1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

& we are beautiful and sunny... so thanks! :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: I need a dumpster AND one of those organizing professionals! :rotfl2:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Michelle, you need to listen to Marilyn, the wise one :lmao::lmao:

Yikes, I don't want today's weather for 40 days, good thing I live in Canada ;)

It was very hot and humid all day, now it is pouring rain and thundering and lightning! We are once again under a severe storm watch and warning. I wanted it to rain for the garden...but a light sprinkling would have been fine!

Holly, did you have this storm pass through today? Hope you and Tyler are safe and staying dry!!!

Michelle...hope this isn't on the way to you :sad2: I think it's moving north so hopefully it will miss you!

Nope, no storms. I think that was the day where we could see lots of storm clouds, lots of severe storm warnings, but nothing but a few sprinkles. A few miles south of us got hit with the storm, power outages too. I'm still waiting for a good storm. LOVE them!

So the kid comes home tonight after being in Ohio and Florida for the past three weeks with his mom and younger sister. We had some drama here last night and this morning. Everytime the kid gets together with his mom, he gets stupid.

John usually picks the kid up somewhere local....not at our house. We don't want the ex knowing where we live.....we have had problems in the past with her and this works best. Anyway, the kid calls John last night while John was half asleep and changed their meeting plans. John told me this morning that he has to go to Hershey to pick the kid up and then they're going to a car museum together all day Saturday. UM NOT!!!!!!

I called the kid today and said that dad would meet him after work on the highway and pick him up tonight. Saturday in Hershey is out. I said while you were gone, Suzie was in the shop 3 times for a total of $1600. There's no way that dad has the time nor the money to blow off a day this weekend with you and your mother in Hershey without my being there. NO WAY!! That's not going to happen! And why did he call to ask when he knew that John would be asleep and indecisive?

I don't trust John's ex AT ALL even after 20 years of me and John being together. And the kid just plays into it. Everytime he comes home after spending time with his mother, we have to smack him back into reality. He tends to go to la la land when he's with her.

What a mess. It's just crazy for her to expect John to spend a whole day with her and the kid John. What the heck?!

Yesterday was busy but good.
First off the interview seemed to go well, but the lady didn't have the salary information available. Because its only a 15month position, the benefits are reduced. I have a 1 in 3 shot at getting it, and I'll find out next week, so at least the waiting time is short. Supposed to hear next week above interview with the other company which is the more intriguing option, but its also only temperary but with potential to become permanent. Scary to think about walking away from secure job to try something new, but eventually it will happen. Thanks for all the positive wishes :goodvibes

Yesterday evening, I took the kids to the rides at our town festival "Billy Barker Days". The girls had fun and got the rides out of their system, and understand that their won't be any more going on the rides this weekend.
Today Ken is taking the girls back to the park for "kids day" where there should be special booths and free activities just for kids.
Tonight the girls are happy to stay home with a sitter and Ken & I head to the park to watch a KISS tribute band.
Tomorrow Ken is driving his dad's car in the parade and the girls & I will be watching.
My parents are coming down and will probably take the girls back to the campsite with them tomorrow afternoon
Overall a busy few days.
I remember you all going to the festival last year. All sounds fun! :goodvibes

:banana:I think walking around the park sounds like a great exercise plan - I wish it could be my plan. I didn't realize how popular the Disney 1/2 marathons are
I can't imagine how cool it would be to walk the parks for exercise! I'd be excited to exercise every day I'd have a chance at seeing Mickey so often! :goodvibes

I you can, with confidence, change what to how, that would answer my question.

.

Sorry that I couldn't be of any help Jacks....I completely misunderstood the question. I'm gald you finally got an answer from your TA. (Was that Monica?)

I just want to remind anyone interested in going to "wherever" the 2012 cruises go....they will probably be announced around November-ish. Remember that deposits for special cruises (Hawaii) may be hefty. So start saving your pennies now. I know I will work on putting aside that money so that Monica can book me on the Hawaii cruise. YEAHHHH!!!!! I'll probably book a dummy ressie onboard to hold for the 2012 announcements.
Thanks Deb. I told a friend about the Hawaii cruises when we had the kids out together last night and she was so excited, she made a note in her phone "May 2012 DCL Hawaii"! ;) I told her it hasn't been announced yet and she asked "How do you always find this stuff out?!" :lmao:

So John just called to say that he's not meeting the kid after work on the south route. He said after the kid got my message then the kid left John a message. He said it's 10am, they're approaching Richmond VA and they're stopping at the Aquarium. John said he's not going to get home until after 9pm tonight. What is John supposed to do just wait around for him to call then go out at any hour. How rude!

Ya know, they had 3 weeks vacation. When you're due to arrive home and you're depending on other people to pick you up.....then just get home already. Get her done!!
:confused3

:eek::headache::mad::sad2:

What a mess. It's just crazy for her to expect John to spend a whole day with her and the kid John. What the heck?!

Bizarre I know. They just get out of touch with reality when they get together. Or something???:confused3:confused3

Hahahaha.....because we have Jackie!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hello there Thieves!pirate:

I've been politely (ha!) nagged into popping over to say hi :grouphug: Hope you're all well and enjoying life, and there's not too much sadness or ill health around.:)

There's lots of talk of the Champagne Girls over on our WBTA 2010 thread, so from one of the Original girls.....

'cheers'!

:littleangel: (OK Michelle? ;))

Hi Mandy!!! Welcome back... I told you... once a Thieve... Always a Thieve...pirate:

Hi Angel.....I'm so sorry that I don't get to do your first Champagne Girls tasting with you. You'll have a blast though and we'll get to do our first together on the Jackie birthday crusie in PINK on the DREAM!!!

I'll make sure she has a good first experience... not that I'd call her a Champagne Girl Virgin... being one of the original members... :cutie:

....oh, and tomorrow we're popping down to Dover, Uk, to wave the Magic off on her travels.....I'm so excited about seeing her again!:cool1::cloud9:

Oh, how exciting.....say hi to her for me and John, tell her I love her too!!!;):lovestruc;)

Tell her to behave... Deborah's on her next week and she has to be in tip top shape for us!!!

I you can, with confidence, change what to how, that would answer my question.

.

Boy... you are SO picky... :rotfl: HOW... is that better?

OK....broke down and called my TA (interrupted her scrapbooking Panama Canal crossing day!), and the answer to my question is ONLY WHEN BOOKED ON BOARD.

.

I'm too confused now... I think it's better for me to give up...

:rotfl2: I need a dumpster AND one of those organizing professionals! :rotfl2:

Luckily the garbage people come on Monday... & I can't even start the garage... it's been too hot... It needs much more organizing than cleaning... in the winter, things just get tossed in there and then it needs to be sorted and put away...

Well... we just had one HELL of a storm!!!

I went to close my eyes for a few minutes and all of a sudden about 20 minutes later I woke up to thunder and lightning and we lost electricity a couple of times... and it was just going on and on ... still get some from time to time. They said we might... with all this heat...

Cool! I wish we'd get some storms. Storms have been in the forecast almost every day for 2 weeks, but nothing. Maybe 1 day of sprinkles in the past 3 weeks. Very very tired of the 90 degree temps every day. I hate summer.

So I just got trashed over on FB by Leisha....my Godfather's second wife....or late in life wife. She's the same age as his two oldest kids. Anyway this is like the 3rd or 4th time that she has done this to me on FB. I deleted her as a friend. What is wrong with people. It's a public forum. She makes herself look stupid, not me. Fool!!!:confused3
