Happy July 4th everyone. Time to go put the traditional July turkey in the oven.

Don't laugh, we've done that a few times, just to have plenty of fresh turkey for sandwiches (instead of slimy turkey lunch meat)! Mostly did it during Dianne's college years since it was so inexpensive. :thumbsup2

Saw Eclipse yesterday....saw quite a few young kids in the audience (under 10 and as young as 6), hope they enjoyed all the decapitations and arms being ripped off. What are parents thinking...:confused3

Toy Story 3 is next on the list.

Happy 4th July to my US friends

Been away for the weekend. Hope you're all well.

Ian, glad you feel well enough to start your blog again.

Bubba, nice to see you.

Tired and ready for bed!

Hi!

Quiet day here... going up into the high 90's for the whole week... will stay inside and pray we don't have any blackouts so the a/c will work.

Took mom to lunch at the Diner... and just doing some stuff around the house...

We stopped at the garden center long enough for me to get some more seeds... nothing will probably come up in time, but I enjoy seeing if I can actually grow anything... Got some morning Glories and sunflowers... will stick them in and hope the birds don't eat the seeds...

I planted some seeds - sunflowers, rudbeckias and morning glories. I know it is late, but I like to experiment and just see what comes up. Watered everything, grilled some chicken, cleaned up the deck and just took my walk...

We did the big fireworks at Jumpin Jacks the other night... staying in for the rest... mom likes to watch the ones from Boston with the Pops..

& yes... it IS hot out there... still in the '80's.

Holly, how did the pirate sail on the lake go? Looking forward to seeing some pics.
It was AWESOME! I'm too lazy to post pics tonight, will soon though. We got up at 7am that day and didn't get home until 11pm, 4 hours of driving, 5 hours on the beach after the sail, busy yesterday, I'm just wiped out today. Relaxing watching "The Avatar" tonight.

Good luck with your plantings :goodvibes I planted earlier in the season, but with plants not seeds, and it's still a gamble whether they'll survive :upsidedow

Enjoy your evening in and say hi to your mom for me :)

Hi Holly, so glad you had fun with your pirate sailing :goodvibes

Relax and enjoy your evening!

I just posed this question to Monica while chatting on the phone:

It's time to plan a cruise for 2012...if you could only do ONE of these hypothetical cruises, which would you choose?

1. 14 Day Wonder cruise LA-Hawaii-LA

2. 7 Day Caribbean Fantasy (maiden voyage)

3. 10-11 Day Magic Southern Caribbean (non-holiday)

I realize the length may sway you here, so let's just say if you chose the shorter cruise (#2) you could still cruise for another week some other time.

.......discuss.....
We're doing Hawaii if it's in May. :)

I will tell her!!!

& I have to see if I can outsmart the big fat a$$ed bunny this summer...:rotfl:

Wow! That was really an excursion offered? How cool!!!!!!!!!

I think the trip to see the dream might have been part of one of the Adventures by Disney add on's... which were I believe $2300 per person PLUS your cruise fare...
