No worries, I already made that decision because he's begging to go home, says he doesn't want to go to Disney World, just wants to go home. :guilty: The only time his throat has ever felt like this before was when he had strep, and with the fever thats what I suspect, will check his throat for the telling white spots, call his pediatrician to see if since we're so far from home if she can just call in an antibiotic to a pharmacy here. Poor kiddo.

I'm so glad you arrived in TN safely Holly. I'm so sad for Tyler that he's not feeling well. Hopefully if he gets some good sleep and meds, he will fight this quickly and feel better. Sending lots of pixie dust and hugs to him.:wizard::wizard::wizard::hug::hug::hug:

I will probably go to the doctors after 4 weeks. I will give it that long.:)

Make sure you do go.....they need to know that your pain did not go away. Take it easy in the meantime. Let's hope you get better on your own soon. Hugs and pixie dust coming your way too....:hug::hug::hug::wizard::wizard::wizard::wizard:

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.....:banana::banana::banana:

I just paid my Dream inaugural cruise in full!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next is the LA Repo and the Alaskan......onward!!!!!

Next year is going to be the year of DCL cruising.....I have 5 booked, but I'll only be doing 4 of them.....hehehe.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well, I have my 2 day paid for! :rotfl:Deposits for the four of us more then covered by share of the cruise.

I have to live very frugally this summer (and work some overtime), as I'm still paying some medical stuff and will have the repo/Alaska to pay off this Dec-Feb. I've got 5 (though it's only 3 vacations) next year...Alaska being the cruise in danger should things not look good by final payment this December. I am picking up the occasional lottery ticket just in case the universe wants to bestow some bounty upon me too. ;)

Speaking of overtime...better get into the office and get going on that!

:grouphug: for everyone!

.

You know... I was wondering if they will have a pirate night... (theme wise...) I know they changed the Baltic cruises to a Viking theme... Any ideas for Alaska?

Penguin night? Or, don't they have penguins?

You will get on a cruise soon my friend!!

I just had my first Skype experience. It's so cool. I talked to Tristan in Japan. He looked great. He's getting homesick for the first time. He's been there for 3 months now. He still likes it though. He said he's going to stay in the Marines for 8 years. He's only 20 years old and knows what he wants. That's good. At least one out of my four boys is doing great.

Thieves must think alike, over the last week Connie & I have been discovering the delights of Skype.

I had a great day yesterday with Connie & Chuck, although the weather wasn't too good, cold & wet. Had lunch in a Pub in Folkestone and then on to see Dover Castle before delivering them to their B&B.

Thanks for taking such good care of them!!! I'm sure they had a wonderful visit... :grouphug:

.....But it's worth every dime and every minute of OT. Here's hoping you get lots of it and an bonus to boot and we'll even throw in a lucky lotto winning ticket......gotta get you on the Alaskan cruise with all of us.

Next year is definitely the year of DCL cruising. (Sorry Shell....your wait will be worth it. You'll be in the Walt while we're all in steerage.) Just as long as we're all onboard together!:hug::hug::hug:

Skype is incredible....I can't believe how well it works and it doesn't cost a thing. I love it! Glad you and Connie got to check it out too.

Sounds like a great day spent together. Can you post some pictures on here for us to share?

.....A true story....For Nana....

We had one turtle tank with two turtles in it for the past ten years.....Mickey and Minnie. Lately Mickey has been pestering Minnie a lot....getting frisky....and she's not interested.....to the point where Mickey would bite hard and hold onto Minnie's neck and wouldn't let her go. I've been taking Mickey out and putting him on "time out" in another smaller tank then returning him to the tank he shares with Minnie. This would happen once a week or so. Before I left for Hershey, Mickey wouldn't leave Minnie alone at all. Everytime I put him back in the tank after time out, he started up again. So we had to set up another tank and separate Mickey and Minnie permanently. We did this just before we left for vacation.

When we got home, I immediately noticed that Mickey was not in his tank. Somehow he got out and we where not sure for how long. So we had to do a search throughout the house and we finally found him three rooms away from his tank. He's back now and safe. John fixed the tank so he can't get out anymore. So glad we kept the kid in charge of pet sitting while we were gone! Thank goodness we don't have to pay him for his services.:laughing:

Naughty turtle

Did I tell you that Crush laid 2 eggs? They were bought in the water and of course since she is alone - not fertile - so strange....

Nice car Michelle.:thumbsup2, and great cross stitch. I used to do cross stitch, but only ever framed a few. None are on the walls now though.

Sitting on the front porch having my Saturday morning coffee as is my habit.

I'm nearing the end of the antibiotics. One more pill left.

I am feeling much much better. This had gone on for so many weeks that I had forgotten what it's supposed to feel like to not have a fever and be run down and achy.

We have a visitor with us. Sukie's daughter came over for a last minute holiday. She arrived on Thursday. Nice to have her with us, but Sukie scares me. From time to time he goes into father/parent mode. Not a side of him I have seen often. It's like he's been possessed by someone else.

Today I'm planning to work on ... I forget what it's called, but it's where you take a sheet of paper and list your work experience and accomplishments and when you're done, show it to people. As a result they may ask for you to help them. I forget what that whole process is.

Tell me about it! I don't believe I've ever had one of those. Each job just lead to the next for me.

Best job interview ever: 1975 (ish), the elevator doors open, the guy who's 'interviewing' me is standing right there and says "When can you start?" :rotfl: Also, I had rescheduled this appointment, because I was too drunk to show up for the first one! :scared1:

...ok, previous statement made for dramatic effect. My job had been eliminated from my previous employeer and ALL of us from that compnay had gone to lunch to drown our sorrows. When it was time for me to go to my interview...well, we just weren't done yet. :drinking: So my manager called the new place and rescheduled my appointment for the next day. I think we had about a four hour lunch that day. Our manager was really annoyed with the NY office for making the cutback!

Minnie laid an egg once and then ate it.....yuck! Turtle birth control.

Glad you're feeling better finally. Is Lucy alone or with Ben? How bizzare that Sukie is possessed as a parent. That makes you a step father. Very strange.

Good Luck with the resume and job hunting. Wishing you all great things ahead.
