Happy Wednesday!:goodvibes

Hi Michelle! Marilyn! Deb! Deborah! Holly! Kathe! Jackie! and everybody

Michelle - :confused3 what's "op"? I assume its some kind of graduation party and Brian must be happy you're helping out.

Marilyn - I'll tell Ken to think about magnets for you when he's feeling creative. No promises, but when the mood hits him, he has fun doing them.

Deborah - glad you enjoyed the movie. I plan to watch that one when it comes on TV. And :woohoo::cheer2: for your WW success. I had to use google to figure out what a stone is. You can lose another one! :cheer2:

Holly - sorry to see you had problems with noisy neighbours.

I like moose, we see them on the highway. Growing up mom would get given moose meat from her friends who hunted. Its good!
Funny thing about moose: when I was learning to drive, I took lessons which included classroom learning and I remember the teacher talking about animals on the road. He said many accidents are caused by people swerving to avoid animals and then the people end up hurt. He said if your going at high speeds and you see an animal on the road to just hit it, because its not as important as your own life. But if its a moose, you should swerve because is you have a head on collision with a moose, you will end up hurt. If you hit the moose, its legs are so long that you just knock him off his feet and goes up the hood and through the windshield and you're toast.:scared1:

Deborah, the weather is a pain isn't it? We had to have our heating on last evening too.

It's going to be 92 here today... :cool2:

Congratulations Brian....it all sounds like such a great time. When are you leaving? I'll be looking forward to seeing all the pics.

Well you know it must be close to Summer....life is getting busy again. This weekend is Memorial Day, next weekend me and John go to Hershey for 4 nights, the following weekend I have a baby shower for my baby cousin who lives in Binghamton, upstate NY, then the following weekend is Father's Day. By the time July gets here I'm going to be exhausted.:lmao:

I agree on the moose...

& I bagged a porqupine with my license plate one year... (yes it was attached to the car...) I was pulling quills out for months...

Shannon... Op is Operation Graduation... it is an all night party where they lock the kids in and they are chaparoned and they have fun - it's a way to keep them from having parties and drinking and getting hurt.

I did Mark's party and this time I am doing Brians. THIS year it's being held at Space Center Houston which is the visitor center for Johnson Space Center... http://www.spacecenter.org/

I took Jackie's advice and didn't do any multi-tasking while watching Lost last night. I enjoyed it, but was disappointed that we didn't get more information.
Its too bad that the Walt storyline was dropped and we never figured out what was up with his special abilities.

I was a little confused that Charlie was the one to get Desmond to "remember" in the alt-timeline and yet he hadn't fully figured things out himself. I'm still ticked that Jin & Sun went through so much and that their daughter lost both parents. I thought it was a little odd that Sayid ended up with Shannon at the end instead of Nadia, since Nadia was more of a major part of Sayid's life.

I would have liked to see what happened with the people that made it off the island, and how Hugo did at being the new protector. But I'm okay with how they ended things. It started with Jack opening his eyes, and ended with him closing them at his death.

You know I hear Gilligan's Island was more entertaining...:rotfl:

ME TOO!!! I agree with everything you just said. I wanted more answers too. But even forgiving that.....I can't buy into the idea that they were in a plane crash and they all lived, but after the bomb in the alternate life their plane lands safely in LAX and they're all dead. That doesn't work for me.

Then I cannot get the idea that a baby was born while they were dead. duh. I even get the idea that Jack was the main character and it was his life and death so it was shown from his perspective....but Jack had more of a relationship with Aaron as he grew older while living with him and Kate in real life. He would have bonded less when he was just born. So Jack's death experience should have been different.

And call me romantic, but in my mind Kate belonged with Sawyer and Julliet belonged with Jack. They got that very wrong. I had always held hope that it would end up that way. Ya know, bad girl with bad boy and good girl doctor with good boy doctor. When they were going into the light together, they were with the wrong partners.

I would say the ending was good....but not great. I did expect more.

All I can say is I'm glad i didn't watch it!!!:rotfl2: We saw the first few, and then saw an interview with the writers who said they had 8 years worth of material and more, so we decided to stop watching. Good move I think.

Our 2 sons were well into it, but I haven't asked how they felt the ending was in their eyes.

I'm more into Brothers and Sisters and since Rob Lowe quit... :headache:

I'm trying to do everything I can indoors with the heat...

But I have to write a certain note to someone that will not be easy... so we'll see how the afternoon goes. oh well... :upsidedow

Probably a good call Marilyn. I just fell in love with the characters and the mysteries the story presented. Guess I got sucked in.

I love Brothers and Sisters. I hate that Rob Lowe moved onto a different show....a comedy it looks like. I heard rumors that Kitty will be leaving too....going to work in DC I think. I hate when they hook you into the characters and the plots and then people leave and everything changes.

I know, it's hot here too today.

Be brave, sending many hugs. Are you leaving him or the job or both?

P.S. Michelle, it IS the afternoon.

:lmao::lmao: Deb, I really think they should have ended it decently, I really do.

Marilyn, I agree. You should ask your sons if they liked the ending or not. Many people did....Jackie for one. We haven't heard from Holly yet.

What baby was born while they were dead????:confused3

Remember that all dead was sometime way in the future (as Hugo and Ben could have lived a VERY long time).

The 'sideways' time line was not reality. What happened on the island and to the Oceanic 6 and returning to the island all happened in reality. Jack dies on the island (saving it), others stay and experience their natural life span or are on the plane and go home and have their natural lives (Clair, for example, we'd assume takes over raising her son).

Think of the 'sideways' time line as a 'construct' the group 'built' in the Astral Plane (if you will) when they were all ready to come together and go to the light together. As you could see each person at some point realized where and why they were there and they remembered what they experienced together and were then ready to cross together. Hence both Sun and Lock being able to jump up from their hospital beds. Nothing in the sideways time line was real, Jack wasn't once married to Juliet nor did he have a son.

Regarding Sayid, it was Shannon that he experienced love with on the island. It was about the island experience that brought this group of souls together. Now I know Penny wasn't on the island...but the fact that she knew about it and lost Desmond to it more than once must have given her a 'pass' for the group crossing (;)).

Now the question is, are WE going to hang out in the Astral till we all die and then cross together on the big Disney cruise ship in the sky? :grouphug:

We only have one more season on the show anyway..

renegotiating everything. And I had to go take a nap so I haven't started... this has to be carefully worded...
