I'm leaving here tomorrow afternoon, going to Scottsdale to spend the night and see the puppies, then Thurs. heading down to Puerto Penasco (Rocky Point) Mexico for a few days. I've been invited down by a high school friend and his wife who are vacationing there. Should be nice weather, we'll spend time on the beach and probably eat some good shrimp and Mexican food. :yay::yay: Don't know if I'll have internet access, but if I do I'll post some pics on FB.

'Night everyone!

Have a great time Cheri! :goodvibes

Now I can check in with civilization. We had a truly awful 3-day weekend.

First we had the debacle with my losing Sukie's data.

Then on Monday we brought Tallulah and Truman in for their dental. The vet said that Truman's heart murmur has gotten worse and he needs to see a veterinary specialist.

With that news we went off to our doctor to get our annual physicals and find out from the doctor's office that Sukie doesn't have health insurance! Blue Cross said his insurance was cancelled!

This had me in a real panic wondering whether I had made a mistake during benefits enrollment, and of course there was nobody I could phone since it was a company holiday.

Then we return home after the exams, to a phone call from the vet to tell us that Truman had to have 6 teeth extracted and Tallulah 2 teeth. The bill was subsequently higher than expected. Let's just say that we could have gone on a 3 night cruise for what it cost. Also Truman's ears are infected and he needs something squirted into his ears once a week for 3 months.

The good news for today was that Sukie does have health insurance and that the fiasco at the doctor's office was due to an Blue Cross administrative error.

I think I want to crawl under the covers and not come out again until the spring.

It's times like these when you need the power of the mouse. May is just around the corner. Sending you love and pixie dust until then. Tell that black cloud to go follow somebody else for a while. May the sun find you once again and flood you with warmth and light. Hugs friend.

Happy Anniversary Bubba and V!

Has Cheri booked the November cruise? How'd I miss that?

Ian, sorry about your computer drama. :scared1:

.

Opps...sorry. Guess I just assumed that if Ian, Sukie and you were going....then Cheri would be too. My bad.
;)

A Valentine's Day anniversary? How sweet! Happy Anniversary, Bubba and V!

No, I haven't booked the November cruise...at least I don't THINK I did!:confused3 But maybe I'm supposed to...hmmmm....

Well maybe you just are supposed to book that cruise too.:rolleyes1

Beautiful Deborah.

Yikes! Hopefully you have a second toilet to use.

You probably don't remember me, it's been since the PC that I have been back on the thread.

Cork

CORK! Of course I remember you! Your face pops up on my computer lots of times as my photos scroll through on my screen saver.

Back to catch up on a mess of pages. Didn't get on the computer last night...Tuesday is a LOST day for me! :happytv:

.

I spoke w/ my parents last night about my possible trip down to see them later on this year and since it would affect my Thanksgiving trip to Eastwood Manor I figured I'd let you guys know what's up :thumbsup2

At this moment it looks like I'll schedule myself into Chi-town the 23rd or the 24th of November, heading out evening the 26th or mid-am on the 27th (depending on the date I fly in). I plan to use mileage for the ticket, so I don't have as much flexibility as I would like.

So....Kathe, Cheri & Nan....keep me informed on your dates & we'll chat about the hotel :goodvibes

That's good news Monica....as long as we see you for dinner at Ian's and at the Lincoln Square brunch the following morning. Oh and then there's the pool party in my hotel on Friday night. You don't want to miss any of those meets. I hope you can fly out to see the "rents" (as they are referred to by today's youth) on the 27th. :goodvibes

roger that :thumbsup2 when your dates are set in stone let us know too - it would be great to come in from the airport together if we can swing it :dance3::yay: (you, me, kathe & molly) it's our new signature

We'll be driving in on the 24th. You have personal car service after we get there if you need rides. We're staying near the airport.

Happy Monday everyone!

We're going to the Olympics!
Ken & I decided this morning that it was worth the 4 days of vacation time to head down to Vancouver and check out the Olympics.
We won't be going to any actual events, just checking out the sites and doing the free stuff.
So tomorrow morning we head south :thumbsup2:cool1:

(:thumbsup2Nan - I bet you're saying "I told you to go!":lmao:)

Michelle - hope you feel better soon!

YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How could you NOT go when it's right in your own backyard....sort of.

I'm sooooooooo happy for you guys. I want pics and a full report. I want to live vivaciously thru you, as Karen used to say.

Have a blast!

Oh that should be fun. I have never known anyone who has gone to the Olympics before!! How cool!!

Me neither, the closest I have ever gotten was the year that they were in Atlanta, GA. My brother was working in a retail store in Atlanta at the time....it was the 90's. He went to the grounds but not the events also. Me and John did get really cool official swim team USA jackets though. We still have them. And we did see the tourch in Morristown, NJ that year. It was cool.

I haven't chatted with Jan since the cruise, but a timely warning there thanks Holly. It would be so easy to mention him.

Hi Deb. If you aren't gaining then that is a good thing. I always said I was either gaining or losing(usually gaining!!!) and never stayed the same.

I know you will soon get back on track and be on the downward track again.

I'm hoping it's a seasonal thing. Winter and holidays are just not the same as Summer and bathing suits. In the heat, I love drinking water. In the cold, I have to force it down. In the summer I want to eat salads. In the winter I want to eat comfort foods. It's just different.

CORK!!! So good to see you!! I think of you every time I go up to my sister's house (and wave to you from the plane) :)

Ian - :grouphug:s to you, Sukie & T&T - rough couple of weeks for you guys.

Cheri - have a great time, you travelin' fool :lmao: Wish I could see those videos here at work....can't, so will have to wait until I get home.

Deborah - Way to go on the weightloss!! Have a great time on your trip away - enjoy yourself.

Deb - don't worry too much about what you're doing...you're not gaining so that's good...you've done an amazing job.

Nan - wow - Wil's bday next week....sounds like your plans are fun.

Michelle - :cool1::yay::woohoo: about the tag :)

Holly - good luck w/ Marvin - glad he enjoys Disney if not that would be difficult! Keep us informed ;)

B & V - still waiting to hear how your other cruise went....hope you guys had a great time.

Shannon & Ken - hope you guys are having a blast in Vancouver....definately an experience. (I got to go to a qualifying soccer game held here in Orlando in 96...when the Olympics were in Atlanta....that's the closest I've gotten).

Hugs to all my dear friends!

Me too.

Not only is it flipping freezing cold out, it is flipping heaving with people too!!!!!:confused3:scared1::confused3

We were here over Memorial Day last year and it wasn't as busy as it is here right now.

At 9.25am, the line for ToT in DHS was right down the road past the Beauty and the Beast theatre!!! Fortunately we were only there for the extra long walk to Epcot, so we set off. Lovely(freezing) walk, but the lines for Test Track were bad, even single riders were out the doors!!! And it wasn't even 10am. Too many teens and children, I guess the schools are closed. We won't be coming at this time again. Glad we had last week to enjoy it when it was quieter.

Moan over. We had a great meal at Chefs de France, though we think they were only just coping as there were a few mistakes happening around us and we had long waits for courses. Great food and service and the lunch fixed price menu is great value.

Yeh, what she said! :grouphug:

Yes, all the extractions were done. Oddly, the murmur disappeared during the extractions.

Truman has to go back in a month for a check up also to decide if he needs to see the specialist.

Therapist??? :scared1:

Considering all the head banging concerts that I have been to with Tristan....lots of luck and have a blast. You're a good auntie.

I know these kids... they are good ones!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

And it's a beautiful tag at that....pretty colors. YEAH!!!!!!!! So happy for you Shell.

Thanks!!! I kinda like it!!! :flower3:

I get the trunk!!! (but you'll all have to hold my luggage in your laps...)

Darn... I keep forgetting to wave when we fly over... :rotfl:

Marilyn... did we forget to mention that you are there during one of the possibly 4 of the BUSIEST times of the year... It will look FAR different when you get back from your cruise... :thumbsup2
