(actually I sort of volunteered on FB...) (and volunteered to cook...)

My sister just told me... should be fun!!! (and no sleep... :rotfl:)

Holly, have you mentioned Carlos before, some time ago?

Michelle I'm waiting for your news now too!!!

Ladies, c'mon!!:surfweb:

What a brave person you are!!!:scared1::eek::scared1::eek::scared1:

Marilyn, please tell John I'm sorry! ;)

OK...saved the best for last. #3 is Marvin. Dorky name, and he looks like a Marvin, but makes me laugh and smile every day. He's the one I mentioned before from work, I'm his secretary, and we've flirted a lot recently and have hung out after work with coworkers as a group. I know nothing could happen with us because attorneys fraternizing with staff is forbidden, so I've never asked him if he'd ever go out with me.

WELLLLLLL........he was offered a new job as in-house counsel for an insurance company in town, and his last day at our firm is a week from Friday! I'm sad that he's leaving, but thrilled about the chance of seeing if anything develops with us! In 2 days, this Thursday after work, we're going together over to another secretary's house for dinner and drinks with her and her boyfriend. I'm super excited, but kind of nervous! It's just an informal gathering, but I'm wondering whether it would qualify as a double date?

Well it sounds very much so Holly, and a great relaxing place to get to know each other a little more before a more serious date. Excellent!!!:thumbsup2 How exciting. No wonder you have been quiet around here and FB recently - you've been flirting!!!!;)

Yes, I think I did mention Carlos last time we attempted to get together. We frequently end up gravitating back towards each other. But it's obviously not meant to be because it never works.

What a brave person you are!!!:scared1::eek::scared1::eek::scared1:

They are good kids... only 10 of them... and it will include games and such... they are doing Operation Graduation from Midnight to 5 am at Space Center Houston at Johnson Space Center... (I have to volunteer for that too... my crazy sleep hours will come in handy for that...)

I know, it's not super exciting, but it sure is to me! :goodvibes He's the best fit for me out of anybody I've ever mentioned on here. He's never been married---because he's always been hung up on his high school girlfriend who married somebody else, then got divorced and led Marvin on for years and years, taking advantage of his generosity in many ways, but he finally realized about a year ago that they'll never be more than friends and he's done trying. He's a bit older than me, 7 years older, but that doesn't bother me because he acts much younger. He loves kids and mentioned recently that he thinks he's still young enough to have one if he finds the right person. And most importantly, he makes me laugh and smile. :thumbsup2

Obviously you have been in training for this!!! Perhaps when it is over you will get back to normal!!!!!:rotfl2:

Well there are lots there to be a good basis for things to grow Holly. I'm so pleased.

Bed time now. Epcot tomorrow and Chefs de France.:)

Goodnight, and sleep tight.

Oh....Marilyn, I'm not sure if you ever chat with my co-worker Jan who you met on one of your recent cruises, but please don't mention Marvin. Even though he's on his way out, it's a small city here and it wouldn't be a good thing to have known until he's actually out of our office. I could still get in trouble too since I still will be working there. Please and thank you. :thumbsup2

I missed Corky :sad2:

Would it be considered rude to ask for a picture of Mickey? I miss you but I really miss him :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Holly great news...keep the stories coming some of us relive single life thru you ;)

Michelle congrats on the tag and yup that makes you a great auntie to do the overnight stuff with them...glad it's you and not me and even more glad I have a sister that plays that role for mine too so when the time comes I've got it covered. Really being a good aunt takes skill and time and fun. You have that and so does Molly and Willie's Auntie Lee.

Speaking of birthdays...Wilson will be 10 next week :scared1: Double Digits :scared1::scared1::scared1:

THis weekend we are having a party, starting at the batting cages then to Panda Express (his favorite) then home for sleepover. His 2 BFFs can't make it (this is a holiday) week here lots of kids gone for the weekend still, so I'm trying to piece together a suprise for him on his real bday Nickel City (accade games and pizza sounds just right for a school night) wish me luck keeping it secret:rolleyes1:cool2:

Well, I've never had any exciting adventures to share, unfortunately! ;) But I know Mr. Right is out there somewhere, so I keep giving a try whenever an opportunity presents itself, slowly weeding out the frogs. Oh....I know what I'm doing wrong! You're supposed to kiss lots of frogs before finding the prince, but I've not been kissing ANY of them (except one). :lmao: I've been doing it wrong! :rotfl2:

Holly... don't get hung up on age or names... the right person doesn't always come looking like Adonis... but has a heart of gold and is a very caring person... I hope Marvin is this for you... :thumbsup2

Don't worry... I believe that Corky will be back!!! I love when some of our old friends pop in to say hello!!!

& I thank you kindly about the Aunt advice... I am blessed with these 5 kids.. and I am tickled pink when they ask to include me in things... Auntie Lee and I are the lucky ones... and if you need volunteers for when the kids graduate... I hear I'm good for the 2-4 am slot... ;)

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Speaking of old friends... I got an email from Sir Steven today... (Onekindman)

he writes...

Hi Michelle,
I will try to hit the boards again soon. I am low as I had to cancel off of the NEC trip, but I did move over to the b2b from Los Angeles to Alaska and back to Vancouver. So hopefully I will be able to start chatting on that board soon and be with everyone again.
Steve

Glad to know he has booked Alaska!!! :thumbsup2
