Now I can check in with civilization. We had a truly awful 3-day weekend.

First we had the debacle with my losing Sukie's data.

Then on Monday we brought Tallulah and Truman in for their dental. The vet said that Truman's heart murmur has gotten worse and he needs to see a veterinary specialist.

With that news we went off to our doctor to get our annual physicals and find out from the doctor's office that Sukie doesn't have health insurance! Blue Cross said his insurance was cancelled!

This had me in a real panic wondering whether I had made a mistake during benefits enrollment, and of course there was nobody I could phone since it was a company holiday.

Then we return home after the exams, to a phone call from the vet to tell us that Truman had to have 6 teeth extracted and Tallulah 2 teeth. The bill was subsequently higher than expected. Let's just say that we could have gone on a 3 night cruise for what it cost. Also Truman's ears are infected and he needs something squirted into his ears once a week for 3 months.

The good news for today was that Sukie does have health insurance and that the fiasco at the doctor's office was due to an Blue Cross administrative error.

I think I want to crawl under the covers and not come out again until the spring.

Ian, our dog had a murmur and when he had to have anesthesia they would do all sorts of lab work. The cost for the extractions could get higher.

I got 6 inches today... I am amazed at how much you have gotten this year... my niece goes to Loyola and she wanted snow SO much there and now that she is doing a semester in Copenhagen... you guys got plowed... so you can blame her... :flower3:

It's a good thing she has an ocean between us. :) We had about 1" yesterday. I think the forecasters are afraid to tell us when the next bout will happen.

Keep the lid shut and the door closed.

Ohh I did... except it's also my laundry room (I thought at first it was my washer going off during the spin cycle...but it was MUCH louder than that...)

I think it might have been water pressure... my other toilet is running alot too...

I think I might have to call my friend Steve... but then I'd owe him venison and moonshine... I asked him if I had to kill and still either or.... :rotfl:

We had nothing up here upstate NY... until today... and of course the schools up here are already off for presidents week... but the ski resorts really need it badly... any fresh snow is great... I still have a feeling I'm going to get a big one before the season is out... I was kidding that this one wasn't even big enough to buy milk for...

Hi Holly... :yay:

did you see who came to visit??? Cork's back!!!! :cheer2:

Yikes! Hopefully you have a second toilet to use.

You probably don't remember me, it's been since the PC that I have been back on the thread.

Cork

Oh yes, I remember you!!!!!:rotfl2:

Sometimes it gets a little quiet round here!!!

Hi Marilyn, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be by the pool with a nice glass of iced tea?

Geez, Ian, when it rains, it pours for you. Glad Sukie's insurance scare worked out. Poor T & T!

After the PC cruise, I went back to Chicago for a short time to take care of my mom, minor surgery. When I returened to Maryland I promptly ruptured my appendix and had a nasty case of peritonitis. I blame all that good food and eating on the cruise. By the time I got back to the boards you all were on thread something and I new I would never get caught up. I reconnected with Marilyn recently and thought what the heck. So here I am.

Good to see you back Cork!

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.

Thanks Ian, It wasn't fun for a few weeks. Thing s have been breat since then so no complaints. I'm just thankful it waited until we got home from the cruise before it blew.

I was back in Chicago in October. I looked for you while I was in Andersonville. I thought what are the odds I'll run into Ian and Sukie at Clark and Foster or maybe even IKEA?

I can join the pity party here's a shot of all our snow.
See Rich's head by the tall bush. If you remember Rich is 6'4"
