Hi Deb, thanks for the hugs  Sending some back at ya  Hope you are over your tummy flu by now and that the leg continues to heal.

Hi Kathe, thanks for the hugs back. My tummy is better, the leg is getting there, but now I have a flare up of arthritis in my lower back. I can barely walk and it's very painful. So we're back to taking some vicodin. One day soon I'm going to feel good all over. :rotfl::rotfl:

Well, I've changed our plans for our May holiday.

I had booked Pop Century for our stay, but yesterday I remembered our 2nd DVC membership with the contract at BWV (it's not a very large number of points).

With a little fancy maneuvering, and borrowing from that contract's 2011 points we will now be staying in a studio at the Animal Kingdom Lodge with a savannah view.

Given that so far in 2011 two weeks are already accounted for for the Alaska cruise, even with borrowing to cover this trip and our October trip, we'll have plenty of points for a visit to WDW in 2011.

Sukie is very happy about not staying at the Pop Century. He is such a snob.

Thanks Deb! Today was a great day, so he's a happy guy again. :goodvibes

Funny what you said at the end there because every couple days or so Tyler will say "You're the BEST mom in the whole world" and they I reply with "You're the BEST kid in the whole world" and giant squeezy hugs follow. :goodvibes

I'm so glad Tyler had a good day right away after his bad day. I'm happy that it didn't continue. He has made such great progress. It used to last for the whole week....now, one bad day and done. That's so awesome. Good Job Tyler!!! Good Job Mom!!!

sounds like there will be a big dismeet in October. it'll be great to see pictures! :goodvibes

Found out that for the olympic torch ceremony tomorrow Shaelyn can't have any logos showing on clothes when she's on stage with the choir. And her winter coat has the brandlogo on the front, so its now been covered up with a Canada flag :thumbsup2 And since it looks cool, Kaleigh's coat had to have a Canada flag added too!:goodvibes

You will definitely get pictures Shannon. It sounds like a good time for all if we can pull it off.

I'm so excited to see the kids and the olympic torch ceremony pics soon. I attended one olympic torch ceremony in Morristown NJ when the Olympics were in Atlanta, GA that summer. It was very very exciting. You're going to love it. Enjoy!

just give in and FB will ya ;)

why aren't you anyways? nosy me needs to know. and don't tell me it's too hard or technical, I'm not buying that line of bleep

and I have a bone to pick with you....I got your darn sacitica today  okay maybe it isn't yours (might be Marilyn's  dang thing, I think my chair is set too high for me at work, I'm in pain pain pain :headache:

Hi Nana! What is it with everyone's backs this week? I hope yours gets better quickly. It's hard enough sitting at home in pain, even worse when you still have to go to work in pain. Feel better soon. Hugs.

NICE Ian, you're going to love Animal Kingdom Lodge....so much more than Pop Century. It sounds awesome and I will be looking forward to seeing those pics.

Its been a crazy day!
The torch ceremony was good, Ken took pictures, which I'll post on here in a little bit after he gets downloads them.
I have to admit I was ready cry seeing my girl up there singing O Canada with the choir.:cutie:
My mom drove down to see it, and is now taking the girls back to her place for the night and we'll go get them tomorrow. :goodvibes

I just told Sukie that I was able to get a room with a Savannah view. He's quite excited and is looking forward to feeding the giraffes a bun.

Oh, lucky you :woohoo: I love AKL! I love Boma and Jiko too! Both times I stayed there I was so much later getting to the parks than I wanted to be though. It was just so peaceful drinking my coffee and watching the giraffes in the morning that I had a hard time getting myself to the bus stop!

Its been a crazy day!

Sounds like a wonderful day :goodvibes Glad you all enjoyed it together. Great pics :thumbsup2

Kathe knock it off and come on to FB you know you want to even if you are stubborn, and I knew that was the reason ;)

and for the record my leg still is killing me.

it's so weird how you get this pain in your leg from something wrong in your back.

I so wish I called my chiro today, he isn't there on Saturday :sad2:

Very cool!!! Loved the pictures too. Shaelyn really looked to be singing her heart out.

Nan,

So sorry my sweet that you are in pain. Is there nothing you can do about it in the meantime?

A very good Saturday to all.

Unusual Saturday for us. No errands! We got them all done during the week. I'm quite pleased too considering how cold it is outside.

Busy day though, lots of projects for us to get done here at home. I have to set up the new wireless laser printer that arrived yesterday. It was bought in a pique of anger.

We have two printers here, one for each of us, both inkjet. I am just bloody tired of trying to print a page of text and not being able to because the printer has run out of puce or periwinkle, or some stupid color that has absolutely nothing to do with printing black and white text. (And yes I do know various advanced settings for our printers). I then either have to run out to buy, or order at some exorbitant price, an ink tank in that color just so I can print text. I think it's a bloody scam.

So, I decided to get a little laser printer that prints in one color only, black and white and can spit out 1500 pages one cartridge. Yes, the cartridge is about double the price of one ink tank, but in the end we'll spend far less on printer consumables. Besides, the laser printer was only $99 and no sales tax or delivery charge. It's also wireless, so we have a bit of freedom in where to have it in the house. The color printers will stay, but only be used when color is really needed, for things like photos and such.

Sooooooo .... I also have a few other projects around the house today. We are jointly doing a little photo lesson or two every weekend to learn our new camera and I'm also in the midst of setting up software on one of my websites to be able launch my own blog in March.

-----------------------------------

Speaking of blogs, I believe Sukie's blog for one of the Tribune sites starts on Monday. All the contracts got signed and finalized this week. Once I have confirmation that it launches on Monday I'll be letting everyone know where to find it.

Kathe -Just get on Facebook already, will you?

I don't know how to be much more subtle or tactful than that.

I guess the Three Amigos will either be home(Monica) or at the airport by now. It did look like they had a great cruise.
