I've booked the POP with an AP discount and the special that they're offering. I believe the week-nights are only going to be about $69 a night which is not bad.

It will be a change for us, considering that we normally stay in a DVC resort and typically a 1-bedroom to boot! So this is a budget trip, but we have APs so why not use them.

Today I also banked the necessary points from my August use year into next year. I'll need them for the 14-night family trip. For October, I'm trying to decide between a 2-bedroom at OKW or trying to see if we can get the 3-bedroom Treehouse Villa at SSR.

Glad to hear... I did hear that the treehouse villas while cool to be in... are rather remote and away from the bus routes...

:welcome: back Deb & John!
Sorry you ended up sick, and thanks for sharing the photos. Kaleigh thinks we should go on the ship again soon. I told her she was to wait for 2 more birthdays :scared1:

Jackie - hope your cold clears up fast!

Nan - :thumbsup2 greatjob Moll! good luck to Taylor!

Hi everybody else :goodvibes.

Ken and Shaelyn are just finishing cooking sloppy joe's for supper. She's liking cooking, so we're trying to keep her helping out.:goodvibes

Shannon... Tell Shaelyn that she can cook anytime for me!!!

only 3 days  You need a week to prepare for the invasion :scared1: :dance3:

Thanks for the well wishes for Molly and Taylor.

Paul and I are going to try to hit a movie tonight woo hoo a date

So... what'd you see???

John and I have decided that we like to meet up with and travel with friends....the more the merrier. When DCL sat us at our own table with just the two of us, it was nice to have the privacy....but it was way way more fun at the tortolian table where there were so many of us and we had such a great time laughing every night together. We missed you guys.:lovestruc

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I don't think I'd want to be at a table for just 2... my sister does that when she cruises... but I talk to mom every day... we'd get tired of each other... :rotfl:

Its a lazy Saturday in our house today.
Kaleigh woke me up way too early, and then we all went back to sleep.
Ken's got me started on zooworld, and I need more animals!
My eye is starting to feel semi-normal again :thumbsup2
I have big plans of doing :laundy: today and probably not much else.

Deb - I think concierge sounds kind of annoying - like too much of a good thing.

Deborah - your day sounds great - have fun!

Hi Michelle! Hi Marilyn!

Hi Michelle!

I'm having a very lazy day, I have gotten some laundry washed, but nothing folded. I've greatly expanded my zoo though!:thumbsup2

Its 4pm and nobody has gotten dressed. Shaelyn says "so what, its a stay home day!| ;):lmao:

I'm with Shaelyn...

It was very lazy here too... I had a flare up of the pelvic pain so I took some meds and have been doing some light stuff around the house...

we DID make it out for brunch this morning... can't miss my eggs benny at Olivers... they'd send out a search party for me...

Well... Emma left today for Denmark... I miss her already... I talked to her the other night... I feel like I'm sending my first born out of the nest... Of course Mark left last week for Austria... ...lucky kids...

May killed the drive train on her truck by 4 wheeling on the beach down at Long Beach Island... my brother didn't know she was doing that... she's taking a semester off to "find herself" of course when my BROTHER tried that... the QM told him he had 24 hrs to find himself... :lmao:

Brian's doing good... was in a school play this week. I have to confirm with my sister the dates for his graduation in June - mom and I will be going for it.

& Will... well.. he's Will... LOVED both the star wars and the Indiana Jones games I got for his Wii for Xmas... :thumbsup2 (Aunt Shell Rules you know...) I should have used that for my sign in...

We'll be back in FL in May too....but we'll be in Cocoa Beach and we won't be taking a cruise. We're going down for Kris' high school graduation. In June he goes into the Army and starts boot camp. We told him that we'll come to his high school graduation and his boot camp graduation. After that, who knows when we'll see him.

We also offered Kris the opportunity to come up here in February during Presidents Day week and go snow boarding. He loves it. He can go right down the road to Blue Mountain. He used to go there all the time when he lived here.

We'll try to see him a couple of times before he heads out into the world.

In the meantime, maybe we can do some days at WDW before or after his graduation. We can take a few days and stay in Orlando. We still have 5 days left on our park tickets.

Ian, Kris graduates on May 17th. Have you booked the first week in May already? Want to go the second week instead? We could meet up.

We'd love to see you and John. Sukie and I will have a confab about the dates. The one thing we really like about the first week in May is that the crowd levels in WDW are really really low.

Well, of course, Aunt Shell Rules!
those are some lucky kids to have you!

Hey Nan...

Ever get the feeling you and I are the only ones who know we're over here???

Although I know that Holly won't be over until they close out the other one...

:rotfl2:It's still open! But since I see there are 12 pages here already, I'm joining you all. But you know I'll have to keep checking over there every day until they close it.

Reporting in!

Ian, Dianne has a similar goal for this year (book, not blog though). Plus I keep nagging her to finish her play.

My resolution for this year is: Apply what I know!

Most of us know what works for us in all areas of our lives, we just often ignore that knowledge. :lmao:I know healthier ways to eat and behave, I know that having a pleasent home environment (decluttered and repaired) improves my mood, I know a certain mind-set makes living with my company and co-workers less stressful. I know MUSIC makes me feel better (why in heaven's name do I often sit in this house in silence?????). Hence...Apply What I Know!

.
Jackie, what a great idea! :goodvibes

Hello Repo'ers! I just wanted to say thanks for the Christmas cards. They were soooo nice! I didn't get mine sent out this year due to various issues but I hope all are having a great new year! I am going to try and do better and keep up with the thread this year. Cheers for now!

Hi Tammy! Hope to see you more on here. :thumbsup2

Well, yes, I had lost nearly 50 pounds until the cruise! Now it is nearly 40. LOL. Hopefully there was some water weight in there so that will come off a little quicker. I have a goal to get to a size 12 in 2010. That is a pretty lofty goal for me! I haven't been a 12 in 20 years.

I am participating in the Biggest Loser over on the WiSH boards with Shannon and the gang. I won the Fall challenge and was crowned the biggest loser. I hope they don't strip me of my crown for gaining over the holidays. LOL.
WOW Tammy! 40 pounds is awesome! :yay: Congrats! Keep up the good work! :goodvibes

I'm feeling miserable and irritable today. Venting with a long story and bit of advice.
I have a stupid weak spot in one eye, which has decided to act up again only way worse than normal. My eyes are prone to dryness, and sometimes at night the weak spot in the eye sticks to the inside of the eyelid, and then when I open my eye it rips a layer of cells off that spot OUCH. So I have to remember to put drops in before bed. Well, for some reason this winter my eyes are dryer and in the last few days its been worse and worse until ithurts all the time. Went to optometrist today and got to learn some new things. This time, its gotten so bad its turned into an 'ulcer' and he put a bandage contact in and gave me antibiotic drops to make sure it doesn't turn into an infection. In 2 days it should be much better. :goodvibes

Here's the bit of advice: The weak spot in my eye is from when Shaelyn got me in the eye with a book and scratched the eye and it didn't heal properly. So take care of your eyes!

Oh my gosh Shannon, I've never heard of such a thing.....OUCH!!!!! Hopefully it feels better by now.

Ummm Holly... you're late... :lmao:

So! ;) I haven't had time....busy week. AND the old thread is still open. I've been repeatedly checking there to make sure I haven't missed anything. Surely that doesn't surprise you? :rotfl2:

Found a small lump on my moms neck while treating a rash that wouldnt go away. The jerk dermatolagist spouts off right away..." It's cancer. I'll take a biopsy anyway just to be sure. Ill have your results in two weeks." So of course my mom is scared to death. The lump was in one of her lymphnodes. Very common kind of cancer. This was last week. She called today and talked to the nurse and this is what she posted on facebook......

"I'm so excited! Today is a day to celebrate. I got news that my biopsy came back negative, non malignant! Thank each and every one of you for all the prayers, good thoughts and words of encouragement! It's times like this that you find out who your friends really are and I feel so fortunate to have all of you in my lif...e! I felt the love, for sure! Praise the Lord! Thank you all!"

Pheww!!! What an a.s.s that doctor was!!! You dont just throw the "C" word out there like that!!!:confused3
Bubba, I'm glad your mom is OK, and what a jerk that doctor was! I would have wanted to smack him.

My brother found out after a routine check-up that he has prostate cancer. Very early stages, he went through surgery yesterday and is doing well :goodvibes I've had a sore throat for a number of days now so couldn't go to the hospital to visit him,but I did get to talk to him. He will be home by the weekend so I will visit him once he's settled in and comfortable. Scary for him, but he is in excellent health otherwise so prognosis is excellent!

I do have very sad news. I've shared a little bit over the last couple of years about Micah, who is a work friend's grandson . He had cancer, went through chemo and was cancer free for almost a year. His parent's just recently found out he had cancer again. I know I mentioned it here already, but any prayers would be appreciated. The dr's have started him on chemo again, and they may be able to do surgery...but they need a miracle. His family has been told he is terminal. He just celebrated his 8th birthday :sad1:

I do remember Micah, how sad. Poor little guy.

Glad your brother is doing well after surgery. How scary for him and your family.

Prayers headed up for your brother and your family, as well as for Micah and his family. :grouphug:

Well, I'm only on page 8, but have to get to bed. Tyler will be waking me up in a few short hours and we all know I function best on 12 hours of sleep, so only 5 will be miserable! We did both take a 2 hour nap just before suppertime, so hopefully that will make it easier for me to get up early with him. We're hoping to go to church, as we haven't been since summer. I needed a break from another classroom-type situation where Tyler gets in trouble every single time. :guilty: They know him well, of course, and try to make some accommodations for him, but it's just another rough place for him. He misses it though, and enjoys going, so we're going to try.

Deb, great pics (what I've seen so far----just the first batch)! I'm sure I'd feel the same as you & John about concierge. I'm sure it's wonderful service, but just not my cup of tea.

I'll catch up tomorrow night after bingo! :goodvibes

A very good Sunday to you all. I am off to work soon to lead my Sunday meetings.

Later today I need to look at airfares and also look at airfares from PHX to Chicago to fly in Truman and Tallulah's nanny.
