You have lost your sense of humor mister :rolleyes1

what a total bust I can't believe you couldn't wait

loved the pictures and I wish I was there to drink your "free" water :thumbsup2

I love the pictures of the last few days sorry I forgot to mention it.

Kathe - why are you celebrating so early?

Nope, I couldn't wait. But he doesn't know about any other surprises that may or may not be in store for him. All he knows is that he's going to sail in a suite.

Wish you could be there too. You will be very missed.:hug::hug:

Deb & John!
Wow Concierge Room! :cool1:
looking forward to seeing some great pics :goodvibes

YEAHHHHHHH Can you believe it. I can't.

There will be many pics upon boarding. We'll start with the Wonder renovations and then move on to the stateroom. Look for lots of pictures on Sunday January 10th.:cutie::cutie::lovestruc:lovestruc

Do you have snow Ian?

Ours started at 1:00 pm.....we just have a light dusting so far. We're supposed to get an inch today and then up to 8 more inches overnight. At least it's better than 2 feet like some people are getting.

No just some snowshowers. Nothing is really sticky. It's not even all that cold, it's 33F. Just more wet and messy outside than anything else.

I am still working on Sunday, so I'm not off work completely.

I am going to try to leave work behind me. I had intended to phone in for an 8:30 am conference call this morning but forgot. I think I'll phone in on Monday. I was pretty PO'd with the new headquarters in NY. For TWO weeks I've been asking for direction on something and saying that I was going on vacation after 12pm on the 17th. I heard nothing from them. When did they decide to call? At 3:00pm on the 17th, when I was supposed to be gone.

Oh, that's REALLY crappy.

Those jerks are messing with my favorite Chicagoan.

Holly - So far all I've actually told Kaleigh is that Santa might run out of Barbie castles. And I also said Mom might not let Santa bring it because I don't think there's enough room. I think she'll be happy with what she did get. Often the girls presents aren't even something they've asked for and so far they just accept that Santa (and Mom & Dad) just know what will be good.
I love it! :goodvibes Makes perfect sense. I told Tyler that Santa doesn't bring everything on your list, he just picks something from the list. He only had 3 things on his list this year, so Santa is bringing a couple extras that he knows Tyler will love. :thumbsup2

Ok, here's the story for today ... no story.

We had no errands to run ... at all.

Sukie went up to go to Library at Loyola University to do some research, but got there and found out it was closed. We decided to go downtown, so I rendezvoused with him on an L Platform.

We went to Macy's and bought nothing. We went to the German Christmas Village near city hall and bought nothing.

It was gray and wet out so we just came home.

My biggest excitement for the day was that I tried on my new Neos overshoes that arrived this week and wore them downtown. That was as exciting as it got.

And I have to admit that I really DO like my new overshoes. They are extremely cool.

I suppose life is pretty boring when a new pair of overshoes is as good as it gets.

.

I could have told him Loyola was closed... Emma went home on Friday...

Oh... wait... that's the Maryland Loyola... sorry... ;)

Here's a picture of some of the items I've cross-stitched for Christmas. The Disney characters was an ornament kit, but I found the French horn and decided to make a wall thing out of it all instead. Before I had kids, I got a lot more crafts done ;):lmao:

Here's Kaleigh with the Pooh we've had since 1995
210335.jpg

Here's the decorations going into the kitchen. The kids like getting "stuck" under the mistletoe waiting for a kiss :lmao: Usually its cute, but sometimes its a pain in the butt when we're in a rush getting ready in the morning. The first year we did the mistletoe, Shaelyn was 3 and it was "uh-oh mistletoe" :lmao::lmao:
210450.jpg

And here's the bow Ken put on one of my presents years ago before we were married. It always goes on the wall. :goodvibes

Here's Kaleigh at her concert, waiting to start singing "Rudolph"

And here's Kaleigh with Santa and Mrs. Claus

And here's Shaelyn having a giggle with her friend before starting to sing.

And here's one of Shaelyn where you can even see the sparkly tights which Shaelyn managed to put 3 holes in before the end of the day!:sad2:

Aw, very cute pictures.....and I LOVE the sparkly tights! :goodvibes

i just checked our local forecast again....now it says 3 inches today and 8 inches overnight. That's still just under a foot so we're good. Two feet is a lot more snow.

nope, i couldn't wait. But he doesn't know about any other surprises that may or may not be in store for him. All he knows is that he's going to sail in a suite.

john.... There aren't any more surprises... She would have spilled by now.... Ok????

While I was reading there was a loud bang upstair... bang bang bang

Then sleep in Monday!!! Monday and Tuesday I'm off and hope to get all the wrapping and baking done:)

I'm tired just reading all of that! Busy, busy, busy!

OK Sweetie, here we go. So this morning I opened the mystery box, it was the cruise doc's for my birthday cruise I said "how cool they gave us a neat little book to must be for our castaway club gold membership"

DEB "no silly look at the room number"

:woohoo::yay::dance3::yay::woohoo:

.....A funny true story....when calling the special concierge number for the first time and making my requests, I asked to purchase bottled water as we normally do on all cruises. They said to me, "Oh, no need....you're conciege and the bottled water will be waiting for you at your wet bar each day." EXCUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSE ME!! In steerage we have to pay extra. hahahaha......I'm going to like this cruise!:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

AWESOME! :banana::cool1::banana::cool1::banana:

Ian, you're SUPPOSED to be bored on a "stay-cation". :thumbsup2 And I think the overshoes look very cool, so I'd be excited too. :goodvibes

I've been quite productive today and it feels satisfying. :goodvibes After shoveling and salting before lunch, Tyler and I hung out and played in the snow about an hour I think. Not enough for a snowman, but he managed to come up with some creation to build. Then we came inside for Nestle Quick hot chocolate with marshmallow bunnies in it. :goodvibes His dad picked him up to go to a family Christmas gathering, and while he's been gone, I've been to the laundromat and back, went grocery shopping, and even started cleaning the kitchen. :thumbsup2 I had hoped to finish the kitchen today but I'm ready to relax. Might do the dishes, but that's about it until tomorrow.

Do you wear your shoes inside of those? They look like fun boots to play in the snow in :woohoo:

I shoppped til I dropped today :scared:

Did pretty good, needed clothes for work :headache:

5 pairs of pants and couple of shirts and a sweater all for under $100 :thumbsup2 gotta love the sales.

I need more shirts, they are so hard for me to find that look ok for work. I'm so not the cleavage girl at work :rolleyes1 Hard to believe huh

I'll try one more store tomorrow for shirts. Oh yeah got a pair of shoes too.

We also got some little things for the kids. Pair of earring for Molly, Wii game for dude. I'm bummed that Santa messed up on Molly's stocking  He waited too long to get her the doll he usually places in her stocking. For the last many years they have been mini AG dolls. He bought one today at Borders and come to find out Molly allready has this one. That stupid Santa

No, they're overshoes, they go over a pair of shoes and I bought them to wear outdoors. They're pretty light and very easy to get on and off. I've been seeing more and more guys downtown wearing them, and decided to invest in a pair.

When it snows, I frequently have to wear boots and then carry another pair of shoes in my briefcase (OK, backpack) and change at the office. Those Totes boots that they sell are great if you are just going from a car to a door, but for the type of walking I need to do, like the 3/4 of a mile home from the the commuter train at night, Totes are pretty worthless. They're flimsy and can't stand up to walking like that.

I have to admit that these Neos seem pretty great, light, easy on and off and tough enough to stand up to the punishment of an extremely urban lifestyle like mine.

Plus they are super cool.

It looks like things are whipping up into quite a frenzy at your house.

You should come to our house. You'd have no clue that there was a holiday. Well, except for the Christmas cards we've got on display from our friends and some assorted goodies we got at Costco to enjoy when we're holed up in the house on Thursday and Friday.
