Deb and Kaz -

Congratulations on getting the inaugural cruise on the Dream and making your dreams come true.

I LOVE this....and in Pink. You know that Kaz and I will be in PINK the champagne bar and we'll be toasting to all of you and missing that you're not there with us.

Thanks to everyone for their well wishes. I'm on cloud 9.:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

For those of you who have to wait until the 9th to book the Dream, here's something that I just read on the Dream thread.

Just called and checked availability, currently they have everything from 4A to 9B available. Suites have been waitlist only and it looks like they are saying that every Inside stateroom is gone!

Thought Monica and Gydell and Vicki might want to know.:confused3

One of the best parts is that Linda/seaulater is on all 3 of my 2011 cruises....mini navs.....yeah!!!

Sue Ellen just emailed me....she said that she was told by cast members that there are NO navigator verandahs on the Dream. I have a full open balcony. YEAH!!!! Now I'm even more excited. I'm going to love the Dream.

hahaha.....it's georgous!!! I keep wiggling my finger to watch it sparkle. Nice!

I can see it from here... :lovestruc

That's cause there's like only 12 inside staterooms for the whole ship... ok... maybe 20...

Hey everyone....just popping on to say HI! I bit the bullet today and booked on the DREAM!!!!! Went back and forth for a long time over whether to pay the $$ to be on the first voyage or not, but in the end with my outlook, decided, life is short and I need to enjoy every minute of it! Ya never know what life will bring you, so I am going on the cruise! We are in an inside stateroom, trying to save some $, but it is ok, I heard I might know some people in the verandah cabins that I could go bother, LOL!:lovestruc

Hope everyone had a fabulous halloween and are ready for the crazy holiday season!

When I talked to Sue Ellen this afternoon she said she only saw the price go up very slightly as the day went on, nothing like in the past. She didn't say anything about not being able to get certain categories, but she might not have tried later in the day.

Ok, just got another email from Sue Ellen....there are only 19 inside cabins on board with a split bathroom, and we got one! Guess I should feel really lucky! the 9A cat is sold out, so it looks like Deb's update is right, wow, those rooms went quickly!

I hear ya Kaylee. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on how the Dream is :thumbsup2 Congrats!!!

It was a busy but successful day!
Ken used contact cement on the tiles on the stairs and so far they aren't falling off:cool1:
Kaleigh had fun at soccer :cool1: Ken & I don't really like how much of the time is spent playing tag, but she's having fun and that's what counts :thumbsup2
Shaelyn had fun at soccer and was actively participating :thumbsup2 and we found out who her coach is and he seems to be really into teaching the kids :thumbsup2

Now I'm curled in my chair playing cafeworld and getting caught up on the dis. :thumbsup2

Michelle - I hope you are feeling better soon! :grouphug::grouphug:

Deb - glad you are enjoying your ring! :thumbsup2

Another day of bad pain...

took tramadol last night and laid there loopy...(watched some of the stuff I have on the DVR... someone please remind me next week that I did watch the reruns of Brothers and Sisters when I wonder where they went...)

not sure what's causing it exactly... probably fibromyalgia... since it is all over...

Was only able to eat once today...

Have to get myself better by tomorrow... I have to go get my hair cut... (desparately needs it...)

Deb & Kaz... glad you got your SR's... so where are we staying?? :dance3:

Yeah Kaylee....I'm so glad that you'll be joining us too. We'll have a big table with you and Lisa and Kaz and us....and anyone else who gets to book too.

a slight piece of good news. eBay is allowing for a relisting of our car for free (because the auction got queered by a stupid decimal point bidder) and another car, like ours, but in show condition, is now getting alot of bids. I just wish the issue was closed. The longer it takes the closer I get to having to dip into our retirement accounts and those actions cause penalties and taxes  just seems crappy that a person being stupid can cost someone else so much :headache:

fingers crossed that the car sells this time :cool2:

Hope the car goes quickly and for loads of $'s!!!

Sorry about the pain Michelle. :hug:Seems you are having a bad time at the moment.

Another stressful week. I a on a project that is supposed to go to pilot in a week and that's now become a ridiculous goal. Who knows maybe we can pull it off. I have to work this weekend and next weekend. I had already arranged for a sub for my WW meetings on Sunday the 15th but now I have also arranged for on this coming Sunday the 8th. I was supposed to go to a WW mandatory training session this coming Saturday, but I highly doubt I will be able to make it. I'm not sure what the impact of that is going to be.

The acquisition of the company I work for is rapidly coming to a close. There is a shareholder meeting next week for the vote to approve the sale.

Tomorrow there are two people coming in that I have to meet with, one of whom I'll probably be working for and I'm going to be meeting with both of them.

Things are getting tense at work. We had a weekly planning meeting, with a couple of people conferenced in. One was a woman I work with with whom I've had run ins before, she was home getting over the swine flu. Also on the phone was one of these NY people that we're going to be reporting to.

I was in the call for only the first 10 minutes when this woman I work with, who was on the phone, decided to get really difficult. I took a consolatory tone to at least make it seem like we had a spirit of teamwork.

I understand from my colleagues who stayed for the whole meeting that she starting tossing everyone, including some of the people who report to her under the bus.

Very stressful week.

Sounds beautiful, Deb!!! Nothing like a bit of pink bling...

I didn't want to get your hopes up yesterday but I studied the exterior and floor plans of the Dream and was convinced that there were no Nav Verandahs - so glad it's been confirmed!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Sounds a horribly tense time, Ian. Hope you get at least a little downtime over the coming weeks...

Ian, sorry you are in a difficult period at work. I hope things work out well and positive for you and others you work with. You must make some time for relaxation in and among when you can.

I'd intended to post last night to reassure you, but didn't get home till late. The old Nav verandahs are now the new family oceanview staterooms. They took away the balcony and extended the room so it could sleep five.

I'm wondering why they haven't announced anything about "Remy's" or whatever it is they will be calling the other adult restaurant. If you look at the floor plan, it's the unlabeled white space opposite Palo. Maybe they are still keeping their options open for theme and name????

I'm glad to see some of the pricing for regular cruises is not through the roof. So I may still consider changing my Alaska for a fall/holiday b2b on the Dream. I may even go ahead and book on Monday, just to lock in an inside cabin...I'll be cancelling my 2010 WBTA, so I'll have some deposit money to just transfer over. Decisions....decisions

Michelle, hope you are feeling better today.

Ian, stay strong, my man!

Nan, fingers crossed for the car to sell at the $$ you want.

.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOUL SISTER!

Hope you have a great day....and celebrate all month long!

No one responded to my previous posting. There are fewer inside cabins on the Dream than on the Wonder and Magic, aren't there?

I cruise on the Dream is in our future, I just don't know when. I need to sort out the issue of my being employed, but other than there's the whole time issue, what with 2 weeks committed in 2011 to Alaska.
