Popping on to say hi Nan! hi Marilyn! and to rant.
I got home last night after a fun evening at the lake with the kids and the phone is not working, no dial tone, nothing. Its too late to phone and find out what's wrong. This morning its still dead, so I had to sit on hold for 20minutes to finally talk to a person to find out what's going on. They can't see anything wrong, so they'll add me to the list, and if needed send somebody to the house tomorrow. I don't like waiting.

But on a positive note, the kids actually managed to speak to Ken using my cell phone last night. In the past they couldn't hold it at the right angle to both hear and talk, but last night they had no problems. (there's always something positive in every situation

)
I didn't think of it last night, but I should have taken my cell phone into the bedroom so it was handy if needed in the night. Sometimes I get paranoid. I had a co-worker, who was working a nightshift last month, and got a call from his wife at 3am, because she'd woken up to find to strange teenagers sleeping on her couch. Unfortunately, it startled her and she screamed so they woke up and fled. She called the cops and they were caught, it was 2 15yo girls that were drunk and went to the wrong house. She must have left the door unlocked. I always make sure the front door is locked, and often set the alarm when Ken isn't home at night.
