deb....oh, you poor thing....it sounds like a lovely Scottish summer!
I did love the photo of the castle you put up the other day.

I was just moving some stuff around in my pantry and the rice container's lid came off and it went over on it's side.....rice everywhere! So , a small job turned into a big job, I had to move everything beneath the shelf the rice was on out into the kitchen and vacuum up all the rice! Of course, it doesn't help that our shelves are wire so the rice went everywhere! :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Its a sunny day again here, but at least the AC at work is actually working (hopefully, I didn't just jinx it)

Deborah - I hope you're feeling less miserable, and that you get some sunshine soon!

Connie - At least it was rice and not flour that went everywhere! I had a container of flour up high once that fell over and that was the worst mess ever. :scared1:

Hello Everyone

I am so miserable today:sad2:

Weather had been awful since last Sunday... Last night it was thunderstorm and flashing light oh we all were scarey...

Today, heavy raining all day... I had to to go to the Bank in Town and took my childrens with me to town, what a miserable as it was heavy raining and bad traffic... Had been the bank and we just went home *** kids want go home... I feel sorry for them to get soaking wet...

I have no times for another day this week for the bank that why...

Now kids are happy to stay home and I sit down and feel sorry for myself - miserable git!!!:sad1:

Oh, I hate when things like that happen!

Venetia told me this morning to pencil in Dec 11 thru 18. She might want to go on our dummy date cruise after all. Anyone else going that week?

Would love to go on a vacation with you guys, but 2009 is already spoken for.

Hmmm......the DHS website says that as of 6/1/09 you can use either a passport OR an enhanced driver's license (for the states offering an enhanced license) plus birth certificate for cruise travel (I didn't look up air travel) as long as the cruise leaves and returns to the same U.S. port (so it wouldn't work for me for the PC cruise), and kids under a certain age (I think 16, but don't remember) only need a birth certificate. But that's for U.S. I don't think they've made a decision for Canadian residents yet because the info online says they're working with Canada to come up with something.

It works unless of course something happens and you have to come home from one of the islands and you will have a hell of a time trying to get on an airplane... think medical or family emergencies... that's why they tell you to get a passport... :teacher:

Sounds like it works for air travel too, if you're from one of the states that have the enhanced license available so far. :thumbsup2 I'm not traveling anywhere anytime soon, so I don't have to figure it out yet. ;)

Well, mom and I spent the day resupplying the house... my nephew Brian is landing here on Sunday - he's 17, and should eat us out of house and home...

We will be doing an overnight at the lake, I got cheap tickets to see Rent, and I'm going to go make him go and sit in the park at SPAC and listen to Coldplay...

Now that I've got that figured out... may the nervous breakdown end...

How many days should it take for an infection from a cut to heal? On Saturday I cut myself quite badly while shaving, I slipped and the razor sliced me sideways, it's about a 3 inch long cut. It took all day for it to stop bleeding and I left the bandage off over night so it could get some air to start healing. It didn't hurt and I forgot about it the next day.

Monday after work, a neighbor came over to talk to me on my porch, and she noticed it and said, "Um....I hate to tell you this, but that's infected". I looked down and sure enough, it was red all the way around, quite a big area, hard and hot to the touch, you know the infection signs. It didn't hurt, so I'd forgotten about checking on it until she pointed it out.

So I went inside and put antibiotic and a bandage on it overnight, took it off in the morning for a short time for it to air out while we got ready to leave, put new antibiotic and bandage on before leaving for work. Same thing at bedtime, same thing today. But last night is when it started to hurt when bumped. Have I waited enough days to go get an oral antibiotic from my doctor? Anybody know? I don't have any experience with things like this and don't want to wait too long, but it's not healing yet. :confused3

Holly...

you probably could have used stitches...

call the dr. and ask them what they think... don't play around with your health...

Relax, enjoy the calm before he arrives, and then enjoy the noise :thumbsup2:goodvibes

Once you noticed it was infected did you open it up so any gunk could drain out? If its scabbed over, the antibiotic lotion won't do anything. I'd rip the scab off, let it bleed, wash it off and put antibiotic on it. Then if it isn't noticeably better in the morning, get into a doctor. Poor Kaleigh had a small sore on her finger and then on her face last year, which ended up being a staff infection. The one on her face went from one small one, to a whole bunch and polysporin did nothing, it needed something stronger. Now she has 3 small scars on her cheek, which drive Ken crazy.

and who's fault is that?

Go ahead and book one if you want. Book anything for that matter. I'm open.

sure you are, until I tell you the price :scared1:

Christmas on the Magic with us Shannon!!!:yay:

:sad2:Not enough money for this one. Want to join us in Vegas in the fall? I'm really hoping Ken and I can do a min-vacation there without kids. Supposedly, there's a CaboWabo opening up in Planet Hollywood this fall and I want to see it. Its only a 6 hour drive for you :cool1::cool1:
