:rotfl2:I'm sitting in a chair right next to the piggies' cage, and I very rarely sit here. I usually sit on the couch or the other chair. Well, the other chair has a laundry basket on it, and the couch has Tyler cooties on it because he slept there for hours today. So.....I'm sitting in this chair and happen to look down to see my favorite piggie had come all the way into the closest corner to me, and was just sitting there looking up at me. I figured maybe he wanted a cuddle or something and picked him up for a while. But it was so cute seeing this little furry face staring up at me. ;)

I know........I'm easily entertained. I guess I should get to bed because with the amount Tyler slept today, he might be a barrel full of energy tomorrow and I plan on keeping him home even if the fever is gone by morning just to avoid spreading the virus to others. :thumbsup2

OK, so it turns out he was actually staring at me because he wanted some more hay. :rotfl2: He heard the bag of hay opening and came running, and as my hand got closer to him with a pile of hay, he stood up on his back legs to get the first bite of it before I even put it down. ;)

Tyler just woke up and asked if he can sleep in my bed. He NEVER asks to sleep with me, so he must still feel lousy. So my bed will be nice and warm with that little heater lying in there. ;)

OK.....I'm off to read in bed....Tyler will just have to deal with the light if he wants to be in there because that's just what I do at bedtime. Can't fall asleep without reading.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Holy cow, the kid is freaking out. He woke up calling for me, crying because he was scared because he told me I was yelling at him. I wanted to give him some more Tylenol, but he wanted to come with me to get it because he was too afraid to be alone because he said the dream wasn't stopping. He wanted some medicine to stop his head because the dream was making him hurt. Crazy stuff! So I suggested he get up and watch Disney channel with me to put something different in his head. :confused3

Well, I haven't won anything yet on this new round of Coke rewards and only one $5 Cheerios prize. And speaking of the chocolate coupon, if you have Rite-Aid stores in your area, somebody on the freebie thread mentioned they have buy 1 get 1 free on the kind of candy you can get with the free coupon, so they were able to get 2 with the free coupon. Worth a try!

well, if you think he is sick, then keep him home. you subsitute there poor thinking with your own good thinking, that's my vote :thumbsup2

I'm black and white ya think ;)

Thanks for the tip, we do have a rite aid around the corner, I'll try it :goodvibes

Well, it just dawned on me, even if stepmom does have his sister on Friday, she won't be home anyway until Sunday.....and she seems to think her real due date is 2 weeks after what the doctors told her, so I'm not going to worry about it unless it becomes an issue. :thumbsup2

good thought, I had wondered if she was SURE she was having the baby on Friday (induction or C-section) and forgot to ask.

Good luck with all of it when the baby comes. A sibling while is a great thing, it's also hard for a child to loose their place in a family. Tyler will have an adjustment time, just like most kids too. To this day I have to remind myself frequently that Molly and Wilson will have to establish their own boundraries and terms of relationship with each other long after I'm gone so it's better to let them work stuff out now and learn how to do it. It's often easier to tell them what to do with each other, but in the long run that's not in their best interests.

Holly, sorry I missed the post about Tyler being ill. You obviously posted at a similar time and was before mine when my post came up, so missed it. It annoys me when that happens!! Sounds like you had a disturbed evening. I hope he slept well and feels better this morn ing.

Oh poor Tyler...

I HATE HATE HATE Tonsilitis!!!

I generally get it every spring. I'm flat on my back for a week.

Doctors have refused for years to take my tonsils out even when I begged them to. Then I finally get a doctor who agreed to take them out if I got it again within 6 months. Of course I didn't get it again for another 2 years.

It's gotten to the point where I know I have it before it settles in. I have even had doctors switch on my and argue with me when I go in to see them.

Dr - so what seems to be the trouble today?
Me - I've got tonisilitis and I need 1 week's worth of erythromicin.
Dr. - Erythormicin? Why?
Me - because I have an allergy to penicillin like is says on my chart there.
Dr. - well let me take a look and I'll be the judge if you have tonsilitis.
Me - no problem. but I know I have it.
Dr. - (after one quick look in my mouth) Yep you have tonsilitis. Here's your prescription.

I had my tonsils out when I was 20 after a lifetime(till then anyway:laughing:)and never had tonsillitis again. I've had a few viral throats though.

Thanks, fortunately he's much better this morning. The first words out of his mouth when he woke up at 10am were singing "It's a jolly holiday with Mary"! :rotfl2: Fever is gone, but his head still hurts, so since the doctor told me the headaches is from fever, that makes me think the fever could easily come back, so he'll stay home and rest today. Still not much appetite, he's laying on the couch quite a bit, but occasionally working on the Black Pearl and Flying Dutchman lego sets.

Since he was up a couple hours in the middle of the night, I would think he'd need a nap. I certainly do! ;) What usually works in times like this is to tell him I'm going to take a nap and if he wants to join me he can, and he usually does when he's getting over being sick.

A fever will do that...:hug::hug: for Tyler!!!

Posted this 3 times???? Are you trying to hike your numbers or something???

Cause I'm STILL ahead... :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I came on to see if Marilyn was ahead yet and I couldn't even find a post from me to see what number I was on

I did look back a couple of pages and I see Marilyn is getting all the attention these days. I guess 40 years is OK ;) Ken and Ian, I think you did a great job. I love them all.

Wow, scary stuff. He did have that happen one other time, about a year and a half ago, the night we were booking excursions and stuff, when he had the bad flu, he was hallucinating and thought there was something in the corner coming at him and was freaking out. It was bizarre! :scared:

I'd say he's on the mend though. He's only a little tired and is now asking if we can have PIZZA! ;)

40 is ok, except that we are old!!:rotfl2:

Nope I'm still ahead :upsidedow

You're still leading - you're ok there.

Are you having a good summer school vacation? We miss you don't you know?

We are having fun but not getting anything done. Everything is behind and I feel like I'm working or playing all the time. I need to rest ;) Tomorrow we are going to go to a lake that has water slides. I can count on one hand how many days we have been home since the vacation started. Even on the weekends we are busy. The kids haven't seen any of their friends and I feel like the summer is almost over

Most of the English schools break up this week for 6 weeks holiday. Their summer has just begun.

Have a good day at the lake, and try and pop in again soon.

On our cruise last week, our table-mates were from Leicestershire, UK. Their daughter was on the Disney College program, and she only has one more month. They were talking about how few English people were on the cruise, and I reminded them that it was very near to time for the school year to end, so not many parents would take them out until school was out. They were so glad they came the week they did!

Also they said that there doesn't seem to be much info in the UK about Disney Cruise Line. Also one of the CM's on board said his family couldn't find much either, not at the travel agents or anywhere else. And there's no UK based website either. You would think that DCL would really be out there with the advertising, especially with the new European itineraries next summer and the new ships.....

What do you think?
