Thanks Deb...

It's just that I think that I am beginning to fall apart...

It's not that the money won't happen, but I'm running out of time on SO many things this summer that the stress has gotten to me...

I am feeling quite embarrassed by it all and I wish that things were very different...

It is essentially out of my hands... my future is in the hands of people I don't know and I am feeling very weak right now...

I've started the all too familiar feelings that people will see me as a failure and a fraud and I've worked too hard for that to happen.

Even if I get the call tomorrow - some things will work out well... others not.

It's going to take alot to recover...

The good news is that the cellulitis is gone now in my leg. The bad news is that the wound infection is back. I have an appointment with my wound doctor on Monday. They'll have to take a culture and get me on antibiotics again. In the meantime, the leg is leaking again and getting wrapped. I'm using the compression boot again and lying flat a lot.

We go forward, we go backwards.

The sad news is that July is a hard month. July 12 was mom's birthday and July 30 is the two year anniversary of her death.

V, I know you're feeling it too...August 2 right? I'm thinking of you and sending hugs. :hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Thanks , its Aug 1st. Use July to celebrate her life. :headache::headache:

Hope your legs get better soon.

Way to go on meeting your goal. continued success to you.

and I was also joking about the wig.So no need to apologize. I'm kind of surprised that he would ask to join in. But I guess he's just looking to join the fun.

WW weigh in day, I'm down another 10 pound bracket....that is such a good feeling. Next week I should hit my first goal....I do 25 pound increments. I will feel so much better when I'm on the other side of that. I've noticed that my rings are getting looser and sliding around my fingers. I should have them made smaller everytime I hit a goal. It's a good dilemma to have.:rolleyes:

Excellent! How wonderful. Just take it one mini-goal at a time. Think of it like breaking a bundle of sticks. It's impossible to break the bundle in one go, but it's very possible if you break it one stick at a time.

Great job!

Sometimes it's just so exhausting trying to control what we can't control that it's best to just "go with the flow."

Besides, you never know what wonders await, just around the river bend.

Ian, I love how you have so many different ways to tell us to look at things. This one is great! Those are good words to print out and tack up somewhere handy.

I wish I lived close enough to go to your meetings! But I wonder if others are as motivating and helpful as you are.

congrats on reaching that goal Deb

love ya :thumbsup2

We would LOVE to meet you and Tyler and hang out there with you. Next spring would be better for us too. I'm saving every penny for vaca in 7 weeks. By the time we get back, it'll be closed for the winter. I think it turns into a tubbing place in the winter. I'm not sure.

They have the amusement park and Hershey Town which is a tour through a chocolate assembly line with a free sample and then they sell every kind of hershey candy you can imagine. They have a zoo, I think it's a petting zoo...but that could have changed. They have a hotel with a spa that does chocolate treatments with real Hershey chocolate. They have good concerts all summer long. It's a fun place.

I would love to see that spa and soak in a tub of chocolate and eat my way out of it :rotfl:

Michelle, life is too short to worry about appearances. You are a great person and you know that. Savor what is in your daily life and the rest of it will come. And we are here for you to vent when you are feeling blue

Michelle - :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: Don't get too down! There are many many people who think you are a fantastic! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:There's many on the dis, your nieces and nephews, your mom, just to name a few :grouphug::grouphug:

Deb - great job on sticking with WW, and your leg problems will get better! You are doing fantastic!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Ian - the bundle of sticks visual is great! I still like your painting up close and far away example the best. That one pops in my head every time I see a small loss :goodvibes

I'm happy to say that this week I lost what I had gained the week before, and I'm staying focussed and will get another small loss next week. :thumbsup2

And Ken says hi!

Farmville - I finally decided to see why so many people are doing it, so many of you now have neighbour requests :goodvibes

Nan - relax and enjoy the race tomorrow!

Holly - :goodvibes I hope you can find an exercise thing that you enjoy!

One of our newer employees at work, a 24-yr old girl, send me a friend request on FB. I barely talk to her and have nothing in common with her. I chose to ignore the friend request. Do I have to say something to her at work, sort of like "thanks but no thanks"? Or just not mention it? I don't want her to feel bad, but don't want to add her as a friend when I barely even know her. :confused3

Good night folks, I'm off to watch Castle, and then get some sleep. Tomorrow we have to get up to go watch the parade :)

Holly, I've just ignored the friend request from a co-worker in my department and she hasn't mentioned it...yet. If your co-worker does mention it, say you just use facebook for family and friends who are not nearby as a way to keep in touch with them. Since she is just down the hall from you...no need for facebook, you have face-to-face.

Thanks for reminding me...I need to catch up on some Castle episodes on line. Hmmmmmm....maybe I'll call the cable company tomorrow and see if they can figure out why I don't have any sound. I haven't turned my TV on in about FIVE WEEKS.

Thanks Jackie! I just wasn't sure how to handle it if the topic comes up. Great answer! :thumbsup2

I've never heard of Castle, maybe I'll have to look it up.

BUMMER about your TV!!! I hope you're able to get it straightened out soon!
