I did get to sleep thank you Deborah.
I do suffer from these kinds of night terrors, for want of another word. They are always worse when I return from holiday, or when I am stressed. Usually I wake up thinking I have forgotten something important - or at least it is more important because it is a dream/nightmare. Sometimes I sit up in bed and mutter some words until I realise what has happened, but quite often I am quite upset about it all so can't get back to sleep. For a couple of months after a holiday these 'dreams' are usually related to the holiday.
I saw a programme on it once, and it is related to sleep walking as it is at the same time of the sleep pattern. I know my father was the same, and one of our sons. He used to sleep walk as a child too.
