We had some really irritating neighbors move in next door while we were on vacation. After 5 minutes of being home last night, I could tell they're not people I'll be hanging around. The kids are horrible brats, I can't even tell how many they are because they're all running around down the street and IN the street, the parents don't come outside much except to drink beer on the porch and swear at their kids, well I haven't seen the mom drink because she's very pregnant. There are 5 or 6 kids, the oldest might be 6, and the parents look to be in their mid-20s. Tyler was shocked by them right away. He told me one of the youngest kids said something really rude to him, something like "get away, you stupid head" or something like that, and Tyler was appalled that the dad just let the kid talk like that. He tattled on them again when he saw them doing sparklers and throwing them down on the grass. Our neighbors across the street told us they saw them light a grill to cook dinner, then went inside for about 15 minutes while the flames were up about 8 inches ABOVE the handle. She was ready to call 911 if the wood deck caught on fire. They're really, really loud too. The whole time I've been online, I can hear the parents yelling at all the kids, swearing at them, and total chaos sounds coming from their house. The owner of the house is renting it out, so hopefully they don't last long. Yikes! I've talked to other neighbors too who are all stirred up over the new neighbors because this is a very quiet and clean neighborhood (until now).

:headache:

Well, I'm out of here! I'm off to see if I can get some sleep despite the noisy family next door and my noisy guinea pigs. The piggies don't irritate me though, they're too cute and are just having fun! :goodvibes I took one, Oreo, into bed to wake Tyler up this morning! Tyler thought I was nuts! :rotfl2:

Oh, here's some potential good news I almost forgot to mention! Today our office manager asked me how much I make, I told her, and she told me she's going to try to get me bumped up another dollar per hour! Our firm is notorious for only giving a 25 cent raise every year, but I've never gotten one that low, it's usually 75 cents or $1 (one time it was $2 or $3 to bribe me to stay when I had another job opportunity). And my annual review and raise were supposed to happen on March 25, so the raise will be retroactive and all the back pay will show up on my next paycheck. :yay: I should find out in a couple days. Fingers crossed! :thumbsup2

That's something I don't see everyday. I didn't realize they were so big.

I personally haven't seen one yet... but I hear they look like a really big ugly looking horse...

The funny thing is... they repopulated the mountains and they're all moving down by us because of the horse farms... they know where the good food is - cause these are thoroughbred farms... :thumbsup2

Can't sleep!!

Hi Holly. Glad you had a good trip home. What a great vacation you had. So pleased we got to meet up.

1.35am!!! I have been to bed. Fell asleep, but woke almost immediately.

I'd give you tips on sleeping but well... :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Took some Tylenol PM a while ago, so off to see if they work!!! Night.

Night Marilyn...

Holly... who is that woman and what did they do with the "old" office manager??? :lmao::lmao:

I walked very close to a female one once in Wyoming to take a picture. I think they're so cute! :goodvibes

Oh, she's the same one, I just think she's schizophrenic. ;) I'm not on her $hit list anymore because she's too stressed out, trying to get new employees who will stick around. And she's probably just playing some new game so down the road she can say, "Well, I got you that dollar raise". She's like that. I don't care, as long as I keep getting bigger paychecks, I can handle her crap! :thumbsup2

Another $25 cash card from Coke showed up while we were on vacation! :cool1: I keep forgetting to play it! I think that makes the 7th or 8th one, I can't remember any more. But they usually seem to come just when I need it and have forgotten about it. :goodvibes

Hi Everyone! We just got home from a long weekend in Illinois. Patrick went to "camp". Chuck and I went up to visit family in Moline, Sterling, Rock Falls, and Walnut, Illinois. The weather was wonderful, nice and cool and we sat outside at my friend's house by the Rock River one night and another night we sat outside up on a hill waaaay out in the country with a nice fire going watching the stars and satellites going over. I sure miss that from when we used to live in the country north of Sterling, IL before we moved to Orlando. Too much light and humidity around here to see much in the way of stars....but we have Mickey Mouse instead!

Yes Kathe, thanks for asking. I'm eating again and not feeling sick. I still have cellulitis, but I'm taking antibiotics. I feel so much better now. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 I'm glad to hear that Deb

You mean like forcepts or something? I think that would have showed up in the mri , no? A little background.... My Mom put off having her gallstones removed for YEARS!!!! The pain was never bad enough or lasted long enough for her to get it taken care of. A few weeks ago she was doubled over in pain and still didnt want to go! So my stepdad made her promise she would go to her Dr. the following monday, this was a Friday. Well sat. it was so bad he took her to the E.R. Yup, need your gallbladder removed they told her! DUH. No biggie, kinda routine these days , right? Well thats what we were all telling her . V had it done , my brother had it done, both were out in a couple of days, no problem! Welllllll....... not mom!! Soon after they started the surgery she stopped breathing! She had some kind of reaction to the anesthesia and her tongue swelled up and blocked her airway! So they had to bring her out of the anesthesia. Buttttttt, they had to continue on with the operation, why I dont know. They tried to give her an epidural but didnt want to give her that much for fear she would stop breathing again! Sooooo ,the bottom line is that my poor mother had an operation with basically NOOOO pain killers or anesthesia!!! You've got to be kidding me is all I could say!!!! She said it was so painfful it was surreal!! I cant even fricking imagine!!! Its not over!!!! The next day they tell her because they were in such a hurry to finish the operation, that they left some stones in the duct that goes from the galldladder to the stomach. They will have to go in orally( down her throat) to remove the stones. So they go in a couple days later and do this second procedure. They stopped counting at 20 something stones that they had to remove from the duct! 4 to 5 or 6 is whats normal in the gallbladder and the duct!!! Holy smokes, no wonder she was in such pain for years!!! Well shes been home for three weeks today and the pain has still been there in varying degrees. So thats how we got to her ambulance ride last night. She said the pain was way worse than it was before the operation! So bad she couldnt move or breathe!. Well as of this evening when we went after work , like Venetia said earlier, the doctors are baffeled, and can only bring the young doctors in and stand around her bed like on the t.v show E.R, and do this...:confused3!!!!!

Who ya trying to fool Gaylean??? You had that many drinks before ya woke up!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao:

On a more serious note, I need to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, prayers and PIXIE DUST!!! It worked! They sent mom home a couple of hours ago. The Dr.s are absolutely stumped as to what was causing her pain. All tests were negative, and blood work was fine. Nothing more they could do for her so get the h ell outa here before you get sick with something else! She didnt have pain meds all night and is virtually pain free and sitting in the living room at home with visitors as I type this! She says she feels better than she has in months. And to touch on Nans question once again, it would be VERY unlikely that something such as a sponge or whatnot was left inside of her because her procedure was done orthascopically(sp), so she was never "opened" up so to speak. Just three tiny holes where the camera etc are inserted. Soooo, what the heck was wrong we may never know ! But she is home and feeling 1000 times better! Thanks again EVERYONE!!!!

Bubba, what a horrible experience for your mom to go through! I'm so glad she's finally feeling better :grouphug:

So I'm sitting here online this afternoon, talking to my "office mate" Monica... we "share" cubicles next to each other while we are both working... and it starts to get pretty dark out... and it starts to blow and I hear the rain starting and then all of a sudden... it sounds like there's popcorn going off all around me... WE HAD HAIL!!!

I couldn't see out the window... ran down to check on the QM... then went to look for my camera in the semi-pitch dark (we had lost electric by then...) I ran upstairs to close a few windows and this is what I saw...

Can you say I had a "Little House on the Prairie" moment... "Pa... the crops...they're all gone!!!"

This is from mom's room

I'm glad you had such a nice relaxing weekend Connie :goodvibes How did Patrick make out at "camp"?

Deborah - great pics of Olivia and Keith getting Gold awards! Glad nobody was hurt with all the water in the store!

Holly - good luck on your raise!

Michelle - that hail is ridiculous

Connie - sounds like you had a great long weekend!

Gaylean - did you enjoy your Birthday BBQ prepared by Chef Jon? Did you have nice tasty beverage to wash it down?

Holly has pulled me over here and told me if I didnt talk im in trouble LOL
Glad to see everyone is keeping this thread up!

We had such a great time and it was so nice to see Monica,Marilyn, and John in Orlando. I miss Holly and Tyler already. He's a GREAT kid! ( I dont care what his mom say about him) LOL

The GOOD news is we cancelled our DCL Baltic and booked with RCL which Bethany isnt thrilled about but now we can do the 2011 " Wonder if the Thieves can steal the PC again" cruise. Im sad not to be doing DCL for the Baltic but at least we get to do it and its basically the same itinerary so our TA said we'll be by each other in port. I would rather do the PC cruise with some of the great people we met on the last one .

I hope you were able to get back to sleep!

I enjoyed spending a bit of time with you and John too. :goodvibes I was just horribly embarrassed by a rude comment Tyler made to John. :sad2:

Don't worry about that at all. I'm guessing John didn't even hear/notice, and of course we do understand anyway.

In the Newspaper last night:

"A MEMBER of staff at Marks & Spencer's Fort Kinnaird branch helps with the clear up after torrntial rain flooded the shop.

The store was to close yesterday after heavy downpours led to water coming in through the roof.

A Spokeman for the retail giant apologised to customers and said the cause of the leak was being investigated.

Much of Edinburgh and the Lothians experinced heavy rain yesterday afternoon with flood warnings issued.

The Met Office estimated around 30 mm of rain fell in just three hours."
