Who ya trying to fool Gaylean??? You had that many drinks before ya woke up!!!
On a mora serious note, I need to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, prayers and PIXIE DUST!!! It worked! They sent mom home a couple of hours ago. The Dr.s are absolutely stumped as to what was causing her pain. All tests were negative, and blood work was fine. Nothing more they could do for her so get the h ell outa here before you get sick with something else! She didnt have pain meds all night and is virtually pain free and sitting in the living room at home with visitors as I type this! She says she feels better than she has in months. And to touch on Nans question once again, it would be VERY unlikely that something such as a sponge or whatnot was left inside of her because her procedure was done orthascopically(sp), so she was never "opened" up so to speak. Just three tiny holes where the camera etc are inserted. Soooo, what the heck was wrong we may never know ! But she is home and feeling 1000 times better! Thanks again EVERYONE!!!!

I don't know, the weather has been weird.
We have had nothing but rain and people are wondering if we are living in Chicago or Seattle.
We have not had so many days of rain since 1929.
Bubba,
So sorry that your mom is going through this and it is just so traumatic. The whole thing is beyond traumatic.
I had my gallbladder out back in 2001, having had gallbladder trouble since 1976. I would often be in unbelievable, unendurable pain, so I can understand what she if feeling. Though not the trauma of the surgury.
My case written up in a medical paper, because I had been misdiagnosed for 25 years. They kept looking for stones. I never had gallstones, I had a chronically irritated gallbladder.
Your poor mother, I am sending her all my best.
And all my best for you and your family and loved ones too.

Thanks, it was really great! We both miss Heather, Tom, Bethany, Hope (Heather's mom) and all the cats already. Tyler did NOT want to come home. He's at his dad's already because I asked his dad if he wanted to pick him up a day early since he missed two Saturdays with him, and he's keeping him until late Sunday because of it being Father's Day, so I get a LONG break! The kid really was driving me crazy, and I was ready for him to go. Not misbehaving, but just doing irritating things, repeating things over and over, strange sounds he'd get stuck on and do over and over. I hate to admit it, but I don't have much patience for annoying things kids do.Holly, you and Tyler have a safe trip getting back home today. What an awesome vacation you have had.![]()
DITTO!
Thanks for the update V.....let's hope they figure it out sooner rather than later. At least they can keep the pain under control. Prayers, pixie dust and positive thoughts coming your way!![]()
Yeah, right, like that will ever happen!Hello. I figured I better come on again. I was worried that Marilyn was catching up to me. What's new around here?
Our 7 year old niece is cruising with us this Oct 2 and think the unlimited bacon is the part she is most excited about. At least that is the part she keeps telling everyone about![]()
You mean like forcepts or something? I think that would have showed up in the mri , no? A little background.... My Mom put off having her gallstones removed for YEARS!!!! The pain was never bad enough or lasted long enough for her to get it taken care of. A few weeks ago she was doubled over in pain and still didnt want to go! So my stepdad made her promise she would go to her Dr. the following monday, this was a Friday. Well sat. it was so bad he took her to the E.R. Yup, need your gallbladder removed they told her! DUH. No biggie, kinda routine these days , right? Well thats what we were all telling her . V had it done , my brother had it done, both were out in a couple of days, no problem! Welllllll....... not mom!! Soon after they started the surgery she stopped breathing! She had some kind of reaction to the anesthesia and her tongue swelled up and blocked her airway! So they had to bring her out of the anesthesia. Buttttttt, they had to continue on with the operation, why I dont know. They tried to give her an epidural but didnt want to give her that much for fear she would stop breathing again! Sooooo ,the bottom line is that my poor mother had an operation with basically NOOOO pain killers or anesthesia!!! You've got to be kidding me is all I could say!!!! She said it was so painfful it was surreal!! I cant even fricking imagine!!! Its not over!!!! The next day they tell her because they were in such a hurry to finish the operation, that they left some stones in the duct that goes from the galldladder to the stomach. They will have to go in orally( down her throat) to remove the stones. So they go in a couple days later and do this second procedure. They stopped counting at 20 something stones that they had to remove from the duct! 4 to 5 or 6 is whats normal in the gallbladder and the duct!!! Holy smokes, no wonder she was in such pain for years!!! Well shes been home for three weeks today and the pain has still been there in varying degrees. So thats how we got to her ambulance ride last night. She said the pain was way worse than it was before the operation! So bad she couldnt move or breathe!. Well as of this evening when we went after work , like Venetia said earlier, the doctors are baffeled, and can only bring the young doctors in and stand around her bed like on the t.v show E.R, and do this...!!!!!
Oh , I almost forgot. When my mom had eye surgery, they didnt put her under far enough. Just enough that she couldnt move or talk, but she could FEEL THE WHOLE THING!!!! Saw the tiny scalpel coming and then her worst nightmare! She could feel it but couldnt stop them!!! So needless to say, if they have to go in again this time, shes gonna freak, like Gaylean said earlier!!!
