Neighbors. We took care of their cat and plants when they went on vacation last year, so now they're repaying the favor.

So we have 10.30am on Sunday. How about inside the park? Monica, is Tree of Life a good enough spot, facing down the main entrance, or is that too complicated a place to meet? I can't really remember. Just in case we do get there earlier(doubt it) and can go on a ride beforehand. Any other ideas?

Paradiso 37 is now open in Downtown Disney. The restaurant is located overlooking Village Lake on Pleasure Island. The menu features North, Central, and South American cuisine. They also have a wine and tequila bar. This table service restaurant will be open daily for lunch, dinner, and late-night dining. Restaurant hours: Sunday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Advance reservations are available by calling the restaurant directly at (407) 934-3700.
This location does not participate in the Disney Dining Plan.

MARILYN & MONICA?! OK, OK, I'm trying to catch up here, I'll get to it in a minute. And people keep calling me too. Good grief!

So I'm sitting here doing my laundry, being VERY non-Weight Watcher-ish and eating a whole package of Little Caesars crazy bread. Just couldn't resist. I still had a loss this past Monday, only 1 pound, but that makes 15 total, so I'm happy! I'm learning that I can splurge occasionally and really don't feel guilty about it because most of the time I'm doing the right things and the scale is headed in the right direction. Besides, I'm going to get TONS of exercise next week and plan to stay on track food-wise most of the vacation.


Work was HORRIBLE today. Yesterday I was there from 7am-6pm and today I could have done the same, and have enough work there to last until 9pm, but carpet cleaners came in and were pulling everything off the floors and being extremely noisy, so I gave up and called it quits a bit before 5pm. I'M OFFICIALLY ON VACATION!!!!

I had a nice surprise today. I was planning on driving and parking at the Detroit airport and just forking over the parking lot money afterwards. A co-worker today told me her parents live about 15 minutes from the airport and they're retired and always looking for things to do. She called them and made arrangements for me to just drive to their house, leave my car there, and her dad will get us to and from the airport! I've never met them, but have their address, will do a mapquest, and they're expecting us to arrive about 8:30am tomorrow! That was a pleasant change in plans!

I wish our neighbors had us dog sit, but her sister just came over all the time. We have them check on Jenny(& sometimes Crush and Polly(the rabbit) but I always feel guilty about it We have no kids old enough to do it in our neighborhood either

OK, everybody, no more DIS for me until tomorrow night. Laundry is done, now I just remembered I have to go buy more guinea pig bedding. AND I still have to get my suitcase down from the attic! Time to seriously get moving so I can go to bed at a decent hour (yeah, right!).

But you all know I'll be on every night sharing pictures and catching up with you all!

Don't get me started on dog sitters.

Our sitter is so selfish that she would rather go to WDW and on a cruise, than come to Chicago and sit the dogs for 2 weeks.

In September I have a friend of mine, whose little dog passed away, come over and sit for the kids. I'm paying him, but it's worth it for them to stay home, and I'm saving a boat load of money. It's also good for him, because he's a social worker and can always use the extra cash. Plus he is good with dogs and very kind-hearted.

Well, the horror of fame has descended on Eastwood Manor once again.

The documentary, "Out and Proud in Chicago," has aired again twice this week.

Sukie went to the dentist today (an extraction) and the dentist, who has a very heavy Eastern European accent looked at him and she said, "Why you not tell me you are famous? I see you on TV last night."

Then today, I've received email from people I used to work with and was at a reunion with a few month back, as to whether or not the Sukie in the documentary was my Sukie. (As if there's room on the planet for more than one of him.)

Also, earlier this week he was on a panel discussion.

I'm bracing myself for grocery shopping tomorrow.
