Back from my Sunday morning WW meetings and having my lunch now. It was tough to get back in the swing of things. It was gratifying though and good to see members.

We celebrated one member having lost 51 pounds so far. She's about halfway to goal, but I was so proud because it has all happened with me as her leader.

This morning was the moment of truth. I weighed in. I had not weighed myself since the Sunday before we left for vacation.

My vacation goal had been to allow myself a gain of up to 2 pounds and that's all. So, I was going to find out if I had only gained 2 pounds during our WDW or had gained more than that.

I found out that I LOST 1.8 pounds, so that's not bad with having been away all that time, plus the Mickey bars, and Ghiradelli sundaes.

I was still very careful while I was away, paying particular attention to not throwing away points on breakfast or lunch. Plus there was the 11 to 12 miles of walking a day. I'm very pleased with the outcome.

Bravo!:cool1::thumbsup2:cool1:

Oh my, what a loud clap of thunder!!:scared1: There has been a storm all evening and it has rained so heavily.

Oh no I hope it clearly up for your family on Wed....

Now is this the same as what is and DL? I think if so, this will be my treat when we go. Much better then an ice cream at the soda fountain. And besides they got rid of my favorite, Fantasia ice cream.
I didn't know that the dole whip comes with vanilla swirl. Is this just a WDW treat?
.

I think it is, because it's a mix. I can't remember if they have the vanilla swirl at Aloha Isle in Adeventureland. I suspect they do, because they have it at the self-service dispenser in Captain Cook's the quick service location in the Polynesian.

Have it in Adventureland and have it with the pineapple juice...

And it's maybe a 1/2 cup serving... at the Poly... you can measure out yourself because it is self serve..

A 1/2 cup serving of Dole Whip Pineapple is 2 points.

Here's my contribution for Day 4. I only took a handful of pictures that day.

This was an exercise session with Goofy. Tyler is on the left in a black shirt. Surprisingly, no camo! ;)

Next is a shot from "When Mickey Dreams". I didn't like this show.

I did not like Mickey Dreams either.

Good morning all...sorry I was MIA yesterday....nasty headache & then with the thunderstorm going on for hours I didn't want to get on the computer.

I get to go spend some time w/ Marilyn & John tonight.....MARILYN - can I bring anything over???? Got your pm -- I'll call if I get lost :goodvibes

Will try to post the pics I took at Connie's tonight.

Way to go again to you (weight) losers! I lost 0.9 lbs this week - not bad as I eat for comfort & have been worried about Dad all weekend....yesterday I called my sister at 1215pm...1st on the home phone-no answer so left a message...then on her cell-no answer so left a message. Almost 4 hrs later I call back....she answers - oh-we must have been outside when you called & they didn't notice the machine blinking. I was not happy. Apparently everything's status quo--Dad's propping up his leg as he watches tv. DSis told me that they called Mom but Dad didn't give her the entire story.

Found out I get to see Lisa again on Saturday at the Scrapbook Expo that's at the Gaylord Palms--she's coming down on Friday & spending the night. I hope I run in to her (these things are usually huge!)

Good to hear from you Monica. sorry about the headache etc. At least your dad is doing OK!!!!

No, no need no bring anything tonight. I'll just get a few nibbles. I don't want to hijack your diet!!! Probably will not get out by the pool though.:sad2:

Holly, do you like veggies and fruit? You can have loads of veggies on WW and they can be filling and healthy. You can prepare carrot sticks and celery sticks, cauliflower and broccoli florets, and have in the fridge to snack on. Some are really points free. Fruit isn't just so good on points, but is a great alternative. Lots of vitamins.:thumbsup2

On colder days, you can cube carrots(lots for sweetness), swede(you have a different name), onions, courgettes (?zucchini). Cook in either chicken stock or vegetable stock(cube) till soft. Whizz half or more of the veg till pureed and add back to the soup, and you have a lovely thick points free soup. YOu can freeze portions and reheat at any time. All healthier options.

that soup sounds great....I have a recipe for a ginger-carrot cream soup that is very good, and although I don't know the point value, all it has in it is onions, garlic, carrots, ginger and vegetable broth (or chicken broth). you cook it and then puree it....it's GREAT!

Holly, what about a home made veggie soup with carrots, a few potatoes, green beans in a beef broth flavored with onion? It's very good, I don't know the points of course, but it can be figured out.

I hope you are better Mon! You were great to take so many pics! Between you and Lisa, I didn't worry too much about it. BUT I sure wish we had all stood up together for a group shot! I didn't think about it until the next day.....I guess I was too busy eating!

THANKS EVERYONE FOR THE GREAT FOOD!!!!
Lisa, I was still eating your nut bars yesterday! and who knew a cake with ants on it would be so good?
Gydell: Chuck thanks you fpr the apple pie!
Monica: thanks for the chocolate chip cookies: Patrick ate them all up!
Marilyn: thanks so much for the rose candle and hand cream from Marks and Spencers! I have bought that when I was in the UK but I'm out.
Gail: the hand made Welsh love spoon is so special. I had one years ago, but it got broken when we moved.
Kathe: we ate all our veggies yesterday! mmmmm
Faith: your meatballs were a big hit!

Hope to see all of you again soon!
Connie

Connie - thank you so much for being such a wonderful hostess - thank you for letting us barge in on you at home.

I didn't think of a group photo at all - DUH!!!

The meatballs were VERY good!!!

I love the comment about the ant cake!!!

Yes, Gydell really is a good role model for all of us......she is really dedicated, and keeps track of all she eats!

I need to do exactly what she is doing....instead of being so lack-a-daisical!

We had it up here too! Lasted a couple of hours - it was raining so hard it flooded our screen porch within moments of starting.

And I just saw the weather for the week - tomorrow's high is only supposed to be 67 (t has been in the 90's) and raining all week.

Yes....Patrick wasn't too happy about the storm last night....he was sitting in the computer room with me ( he was watching his recorded Trauma in the ER shows) and we had to turn up the TV real loud to drown out the noise outside!

Just a reminder about what a lot of us ordered one year ago today:

I WISH PEOPLE WOULD QUIT POSTING THIS UGLY CAKE! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I was so disappointed when I got that gray slimy thing instead of a chocolate slipper filled with cream like I expected! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

It's smelling really good in my house. John's crock pot meal for this weekend is cooking. He's making lean roast beef in beef broth with potatoes, corn and tomatoes. He's been cooking it for hours already and it won't be done for many hours still. This is the hard part. Smelling it all day long. uuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmm!

Tell John that sounds good! We buy London Broil when it's on sale at Albertson's...last time Chuck got it at buy one get 2 free! Last time we made Swiss Steak.....we havent' had that for a long time. We usually have it with rice, but we only ate it with healthy steamed veggies instead.

Connie

Bubba just said the same thing to me. "your killing me with all the smells in our house today" I'm making a big pot of 1 point chili and it smell soooo good.

Please give us the recipe for 1 point chili....that sounds great! I'm sure the chili Chuck makes is NOT 1 point!!!!!!

We had a great time at Connie's, and she was a fab hostess. We had wonderful food and Connie looked after us all so well. They have a lovely home full of great Disney souvenirs and interesting pieces.

There were Connie, Chuck and Patrick, Lisa and Darrell, Kathe, Gydell, Monica, John and Me, some neighbours of Connie's who were DCL cruisers and Disney mad too!!, and a couple from Wales who had cruised with Connie before. Great group.

I took photos, but can't post yet, but I am sure Monica will do so VERY SOON!!! There was lots of reminiscing, chat about the Baltic as Gydell and Lisa are going next year and wanted to hear all about Monica's trip, and some looking at photos, which included some very cute ones of Kathe's grandaughter Serenity.

I'm very full!!!

Thank you Connie and Chuck.

Thanks for coming everyone! WE should get together again to play games!

Here's a link to my photos from Canal crossing day:
http://gallery.me.com/cheria#100437

What an interesting and memorable day that was! I wish I'd had enough stamina to stay on deck the entire day. I basically missed Gatun Lake because I was in my cabin cooling off and sleeping!:rotfl: I guess that just means I have to do it again in, what is it?? 2011? :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I remember drinking Champagne with Ann and Albert at 10am then Steve and the boys came over to our balcony with drinks later. And trying to put up my big banner that wouldn't stay without flapping in the breeze! Also, we were on the wrong side of the ship for the DCL photographers to get a photo of it anyway! Quite an exciting day!!!

There were so many fun people too!

I think the whole ship was disappointed that evening.

I have to admit though, it tasted pretty good!!!
