Does anybody know if Desperate Housewives is on tonight? Is tonight the season finale or was that last week? If it's on, I'll need to tape it because I've already started watching the 3 hour Survivor finale! :goodvibes

I found this link with nutritional information:

and

I calculated points based on a 1 cup serving of Pineapple Dole Whip, which would be a hefty serving.

I calculate that 1 cup Dole Whip = 3 points

Which is pretty damn good if you ask me!

I calculate that 1 cup of Dole Whip Pineapple and Vanilla swirl would be 4 points.

Now is this the same as what is and DL? I think if so, this will be my treat when we go. Much better then an ice cream at the soda fountain. And besides they got rid of my favorite, Fantasia ice cream.
I didn't know that the dole whip comes with vanilla swirl. Is this just a WDW treat?

Great pics Lisa and what a cool cake! Wow! :goodvibes

Venetia, thanks for posting the chili again. I didn't pay attention before because I wasn't doing WW yet, but now I'm going to give it a try, possibly this weekend as a reward for when I get my house cleaned up! :thumbsup2

Put it together before you start cleaning, then you can enjoy the wonderful smells and know you have something good and good for you when you are finished.

Yes, according to my tvguide page. but that's all I know as I dont watch.

We had such a great day today! Busy, but fun. It had a slow start because we slept too late to make it to church, then after breakfast I went back to sleep for about an hour and a half. Then we both got sucked into Webkinz world and couldn't tear ourselves away! :rotfl2: But it was such a beautiful day, we needed to get out and enjoy it.

First we had to stop at Tyler's dad's house to see if his glasses were over there because we couldn't find them anywhere. We later found them in our car. I told Tyler we can't keep letting things get so messy and cluttered because we're both always losing things!

Then we headed to one of Tyler's favorite spots, the Michigan Historical Museum, then to Walmart for some grocery shopping.

Tyler spent some time watching video clips about the Titanic on history.com. He sure was able to feed his history craving today! Then a quick supper and out to do yardwork. While I mowed, Tyler gathered all the big branches and sticks so I wouldn't mow over them, then while I weedwhacked, he was re-doing the stones he put around some of our plants as a border. He found a few things that were hidden in the long grass that he put away in the garage where they belong too. He was such a good helper. One of his buddies has to do yardwork for punishment, but that sure wouldn't work for Tyler because he loves it! :thumbsup2

A quick yogurt for a bedtime snack for Tyler and I'm eating some yummy mixed fresh fruit while watching Survivor. :goodvibes

GOOD IDEA! Only problem is that I expect it to take 2 days to fully clean. And my kitchen is so cluttered, I can't do anything in there until I clean it first. Yes, I've really let things go around here and I hate that. I'll at least have to clean the kitchen first, then I'll get the chili started so I can smell it while cleaning the living room, then it will be a nice reward for after the living room is clean. :thumbsup2 Then hopefully I'll be recharged and ready to clean some more!

THANK YOU! I wish I had a TV guide. I'll get my VCR ready to record it! :goodvibes

Holly it is a season finale too. It's on for 2 hours. Make sure you record it long enough to get the whole thing.
Thanks Deb! I didn't set the timer, just clicked "record", so it will go until I shut it off (or until the tape runs out). :thumbsup2

Have it in Adventureland and have it with the pineapple juice...

And it's maybe a 1/2 cup serving... at the Poly... you can measure out yourself because it is self serve..

Ok everyone...watch out... Holly's gonna cook for the 2nd time in a DECADE!!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Oh my, what a loud clap of thunder!!:scared1: There has been a storm all evening and it has rained so heavily.

:rotfl2:That's pretty darned close to true! :lmao: We've lived in our house for 4 years and the only thing I've used the oven for is to make cookies once or twice and pizzas probably less than 10 times. I know, pathetic! Thank goodness Tyler's dad and stepmom both cook for him!

I thought maybe the clap of thunder was the result of me planning on cooking! :rotfl2:

Seriously though, sorry about your storm, but at least it's not happening during the day when you're at the parks. :thumbsup2

I have to say that whoever came up with the idea for the 100 calorie packs of so many great treats is my hero! ;) I honestly used to eat a whole can of Pringles at least twice a week, usually about 3 times, even when they came out with the "super stack" size, I'd still eat the whole can at one sitting. So when I started WW, I completely avoided ALL potato chips because I don't trust myself to stop. Well, I finally discovered the 100 calorie size Pringles packs and bought a box last week. Since I was used to eating so many before, one of the 100 cal packs isn't enough to satisfy me just yet, but 2 is perfect. I love having sort of a stopping point and it doesn't use up very may points. :goodvibes Definitely something I can budget points for and still satisfy that craving!

Same goes for the Hostess chocolate cakes 100 calorie pack. Even less points! :goodvibes

Holly, do you like veggies and fruit? You can have loads of veggies on WW and they can be filling and healthy. You can prepare carrot sticks and celery sticks, cauliflower and broccoli florets, and have in the fridge to snack on. Some are really points free. Fruit isn't just so good on points, but is a great alternative. Lots of vitamins.:thumbsup2

On colder days, you can cube carrots(lots for sweetness), swede(you have a different name), onions, courgettes (?zucchini). Cook in either chicken stock or vegetable stock(cube) till soft. Whizz half or more of the veg till pureed and add back to the soup, and you have a lovely thick points free soup. YOu can freeze portions and reheat at any time. All healthier options.

I struggle with veggies. The only way I'll eat them is on a sandwich, and I'm a big fruit eater. I just have to still have my treats for a while though. I'm used to the treats being almost my whole diet, so it will take me quite a while to reduce them. I've eaten that way even as far back as when I was a teenager. It's surprising that I never had issues with malnutrition. And all my friends used to tell me I really should weigh much much more than what I do because of the staggering amounts I eat....I guess I'm just lucky.

I'm really trying to force myself into the healthier options, it will just take time. But considering I used to eat a whole medium size pizza in one sitting, a 1/2 pumpkin pie at one sitting, a whole can of Pringles with a whole container of chip dip, eat as many tortilla chips as it took to finish a whole jar of salsa, etc., the changes I've already made in 4 short weeks is AMAZING! :goodvibes And I honestly feel I owe most of it to the inspiration received from seeing so many people here do so well, and all the tips and suggestions everybody posts throughout their journey. :grouphug:

OK, Survivor is over, I'm off to fold the clothes that are in the dryer and then head off to sleep. Goodnight all! :cloud9:

We have become good friends with a UK couple from a UK forum, and we met them a couple of times this trip. The female never ever eats vegetables, salad, and I think fruit. I don't know how she is so healthy, but she is.:confused3 She is almost 20 years younger than me.

I'm on a mission I guess for healthier eating!!!

Yes, you have done fantastic Holly! I can eat whole cakes and packets of cookies etc too!!!!!!:lmao:

Oh my, what a loud clap of thunder!!:scared1: There has been a storm all evening and it has rained so heavily.

We had it up here too! Lasted a couple of hours - it was raining so hard it flooded our screen porch within moments of starting.

And I just saw the weather for the week - tomorrow's high is only supposed to be 67 (t has been in the 90's) and raining all week.

I feel like that ....

Yes, we enjoyed it as our first time playing....

Nan You were cheating ::yes::

Scottishwee35

But I won by having the most loses, so how can I cheat at that???? I know you're kidding. If I knew how to cheat I woulda ;)

You want Lisa to call her daughter Penny Auctions?:lmao::lmao:

......hahahahaha......I thought the same thing at first Marilyn. Too funny!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Michelle, I also thought of Chloe. Like minds as they say.

not that it matters, but Chloe is Wilson's karting nemisis, so I'm not so sure I like that name ;) But my opinion really doesn't hold water here so name her what you love and the rest of us will love her no matter what you say...well Penny Auction is kinda funny

We are home from a nice long afternoon in Half Moon Bay. We took Casey's ashes to spread in the ocean. It was really nice. I had her in my sand pail and was feeling like I was really and was 2nd guessing my thoughts of doing it at all, just then a flock of 10 or so pelicans flew over head, Casey loved to chase the birds at the beach, so I took them to be her sign to let me go mama. So I walked up to the waters edge and off she went. I looked out in to the ocean and saw a little head bobbing up and down, an otter I'm sure. It made me feel like Casey was in good company. Can't believe it's been a whole year.

last note I have to share with you. there is a pedestrain bridge that is fairly new that was built just a town away from us over the freeway that looks (loosely) like the Bridge of the Americas. Everytime we drive by it we laugh and remember our wonderful day in the Panama Canal. Great memories of a great trip. I think we'll talk about it all thru our lives. Glad we could share it together. :grouphug:
