Happy Birthday Lisa

Have a lovely day....

Good Morning Mickey Lovers....I had such a great time last night. I did so good at Olive Garden. I ate 1/2 of everything....breadstick, salad, chicken parm and spaghetti. I even had one glass of wine then switched to unsweetened iced tea. I ordered cheese cake for desert and didn't eat any of it....I brought it home to eat half of today and half tomorrow.

When we got to Becky's drive in I had water that I brought from home and even split a funnel cake with John. I cut it right down the middle and ate one half. At the end of the night, I only had to use 3 points from my weekly points. I did really good.

The best part is that today I have leftovers to eat. I'll be careful with my points count and if I have to use a few more weekly points I will.

Oh and I LOVED LOVED LOVED Star Trek....."I can't say what I usually do because it would be self serving.....so good luck." OMG that was just so awesome.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!!

Hope you have the happiest birthday ever Lisa. So glad you're going to DL with the family. You're going to have an awesome time. Post pictures! We want to share.

Well done Deb. I'm so proud of you.

Thanks Marilyn. I'm glad I finally tried WW. It really does seem as if it's the best way to lose weight and do it healthily. It's also something that I can do for the rest of my life coz of the....what I call....built in "cheats." When you can "diet" and eat funnel cake and cheesecake....it's got to be good. hahaha!

Yes, I feel the same way. However we did have a good cappuccino at the kiosk on the way to Testrack at the entrance to Universe of Energy. They did some enormous muffins etc but not the cakes we are after. Kringla Bakery at Norway had some really nice offerings.

Oh, we liked it there too and I couldn't believe it when they changed it to an ice cream shop!:confused3 It always seemed popular.

Right, it's ice cream now....I had forgotten. We would get to the park at opening and make that our first stop....breakfast....coffee and pastry while sitting and watching the fountain. It was a great way to kick off the day. I do really miss it.

Great job Deb! WTG!

I need to get off this computer! I'm supposed to be leaving the house in about a 1/2 hr to go scrapbooking and I haven't gotten myself ready yet.

Lisa & Darrell - if you haven't left yet, drive safe & see you later.

Hope everyone has a good day....will be scrapping until 3pm then quick drive back home before heading over to Connie's tonight. Will take the camera :thumbsup2

Deb, I hope you haven't left yet, but here goes anyway, ask for the to-go container FIRST. Put half in before you start to eat.

And I know that the Venetian Apricot Chicken there is only 7 points. And you can think of me while your eating it.:rotfl2:

You are soooo funny. I did see your namesake on the menu from the link that Ian posted. I really wanted the chicken parm so I'll save your dish for another meal out.

I had already left when you wrote this....but I still did good. This is a great tool to use for another time too.

Thanks V.:hug::hug:

For those of you spending some time at WDW, the new on line ADR booking system rolls out on MONDAY. It is available to travel agents right now!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2174824

IAN....CHERI...looks like June 6 is our 90 day mark. Resort reservation number will be required for booking the 90 + 10. (right now looks like booking will be available at 6AM eastern)

Monica, we need to figure out when you will be playing with us (Sat/Sun...a weekday night???) and can provide you with our list of restaurants we want to hit (you have an AP right...in case it's a park restaurant?)

Mairlyn, I've got you and John on the list for Friday 9/11 dinner, Citrico's.

PM's will be flying, I'm sure.

Reservations can be made for a party size up to 10 people. Any changes to what you book on line have to be done over the phone (apparently a cancellation can be done one line, just not a 'modification').

I wonder when the September park hours come out?????

.

Thanks fot the info Jackie, and also for (hopefully) booking Citrico's!!!! I hope the ADR system isn't a mess. At least there are a couple opf weeks before we make ressies so time to sort some glitches out. Do you think they will stop people making multiple reservations on one day?

I finish work and rush home to watch Amerian Idol result...

Oh I feel so sad as Danny sang so beautiful ..'YOu are so Beautiful' that make me emotional...

Deb - have u see it?

I listen over and over that music sound that he beat Donny Osmond song :rotfl:

Danny got a lovely voice...

oh well good luck to Adam and Kris - hard to tell who is winner

Scottishwee35

Yes, Deborah....I watched it. I love Danny too. I have from the very start. Everyone thought that Kris was going to go but then he did so well that any one of them could have gone. Danny will have a fabulous career anyway. You will be seeing and hearing more of him....I'm sure!

You're on babe!!!!!!

By the way, here is a Mouse Manager Tip:

Want some of the yummy food of the Brown Derby without the prices? The food at Starring Rolls comes from the Brown Derby Kitchen next door!

Unfortunately, they do not sell all the desserts at Starring Rolls.

(I almost mistyped this as "Staring Rolls." How creepy would that be?)

Wow Ian that's an excellent tip....thank you so much.

JACKIE - I'm off that entire week now (so really off starting on the 5th until the 20th) so can come play at any time....I even told Ian & he said we can have a slumber party :yay: Send list & we'll plan.

Online res thing seems to be working well....I've booked 3 different things myself thru the ta site & it's pretty painless :thumbsup2

Wish you could be here too!

Thanks Lisa. Your blanket kept me warm at the drive in last night. I was thanking you over and over again.

We'll just have to get together in Sept after our Tortola cruise. We'll be at WDW for 5 days.:cutie:

As of this moment it does NOT prohibit multiple reservations. We have a sceanerio where the boys will be going one place and Cheri and I another, so that may be why they can't/don't block multiple bookings.

Monica just called and said she's used the system and IT WORKS! :lmao:

.

so, no union electricians there I assume. Almost all the work around her is union covered and so if you have the years you get the job. Hopefully things will be fine for John. Continued prayers.

Thanks Nan. Yes, John is in a union...but it's an operating engineers union not an electrical union. Don't ask me why. That's the way the University does it. His union is basically worthless to him. We'll take all the prayers we can get. Thank you so much. And right back at'cha for Paul. We will keep him in our prayers too.

Ok, out for the night now. The kids and I moved all the CRAP outta our bedroom so Paul can remove the carpet and now I'm headed to Aqui to have a drink with my girl friends. This is how I avoid the dust to save my asthma....::yes:: I think Paul did buy that story :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

later :flower3:

Hope you had a good night out with the girls. I love hard wood floors too. I hate carpeting. I'm sure the room is going to look great.:woohoo:

YAY Deb! That's great! :dance3: Congrats! :yay:

Thank you Holly. Yup 9lbs in 3 weeks....averages 3lbs a week. I'll take it! It's so good to be starting WW with you too. We can do this. I really believe it's going to work. We will reach our goals.

Hi all!!!

Long time no see...

Well the election is over and as far as I am concerned the good guys won. Or at least the candidate that I was working for won (so did her party who will form government for a third term now).

Had a really good Election Day and the Team I was working with really came together and put my plan into action. I couldn't have asked for more out of the Team. It's really cool when a plan you put together comes out nicely and with the desired results. In 2005 she only got 5885 votes and had to wait until after 11pm to be confirmed as elected. This year she got 8663 (with absentee ballots still to be counted) and was confirmed 1.5 hours after the polls closed at 8:00pm. It was a great feeling.

But now it is over and I am trying to recharge my batteries. The best thing, I am back home with Shannon and the girls and sleeping in my own bed.

One more thing to do politics tomorrow (Conservative Party Riding Association AGM) and then it should be put to the backburner for a while.

Here's a pic of the Candidate (green outfit), Shirley Bond, and a large portion of the Team. These people became like family over the last few months.

Now here's hoping I can get caught up on this thread and not miss out on anything.

What a great accomplishment Ken. So glad you're home now.

Marilyn...if you are shopping to have coffee to make at the Villa... :snooty: (I always wanted a villa...) get 8 O'Clock coffee... I used to work for the company and it is ALWAYS rated as one of the best regular blend coffeess out there. :thumbsup2

That's my coffee. That's what me an John always drink. We stay at Staybridge Suites so we always have a full kitchen and we make our own 8 O'Clock coffee.

When we go away next weekend, we'll bring our own coffee from home to make in the room. Gotta have good coffee and 8 O'Clock is the best!

:goodvibes

Deb - that is great about the weight loss - good job. Ian & Venetia - great diet tips about checking online and putting 1/2 food away at the start of the meal. I have to remember those!

Thanks Lisa....it's long overdue!

btw, I love all of your boys' names....have you thought about girl's names yet? Just curious. Inquiring minds and all that.:rolleyes1
