Welcome to Friday!
Your Gateway to the Weekend!

Just a week ago we were preparing to head to Midway to catch a flight to MCO, and the dogs were being spoiled silly by Cheri.

Um, that was TWO weeks ago, sweetie! :upsidedow

I think you'd have most all of us lining up for that job! ::yes::

.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I hadn't noticed that.

Yeah... and don't ask him what time it is either...

YEAH!!! It's a good weigh in today....4lbs. down. I'm so happy....it's a total of 9 from my first log in three weeks ago even though I wasn't tracking the first week. Next week I'll break the 10lbs mark and be even happier. I'm going in the right direction and I'm doing it healthy. That's got to be good.

John already got the day approved to take a vacation day today so he'll be taking Ray and I'll stay home and pay bills. Tonight we'll go out to eat at Olive Garden and then onto Becky's to watch Star Trek. I'm excited. It's a great reward for doing well. I'll even watch my points at Olive Garden. I may use some weekly points for the first time.

Just a suggestion, and you may have already done so, but check out olive garden's menu online and do some research before you go. :thumbsup2

Thanks Michelle.

EEK!:scared1:

Yeah... I keep telling him to get off his little green furry butt and finish... He's thinking of doing it in semi real time seeing as it's the same week now... :rotfl2:

I will do so Sistah....as Peg says to Jackie. So far everything I can find says 20-30 points per meal. I figured I would just eat half and doggie bag the rest for home. If I use weekly points I should be ok. I'll track it as best I can when I get back home. Also, I have to order sensibly. I want chicken parm with spaghetti, salad and a bread stick. I have to eat really small portions...maybe 1/3.

I hadn't noticed the condition of the bathrooms in the parks.

On the coffee and cake front, I told Sukie that I was really surprised that there were not more dessert places around the world, particularly at DTD. You know, basically a really good pastry shop, where you can go for a good coffee and some very good pastry.

There's lots of ice cream, but sometimes, I just wanted to sit outdoors with some coffee and cake.

The Fountain Cafe in Epcot used to be mine and John's favorite. We always planned a stop there for some coffee and a pastry while we watched the water dance in the fountain. No more. It doesn't have pastries anymore. I'm not sure if the coffee changed too, but it's not the same and we miss it.

Look what I just found out:

Chicken Parmesan dinner 25 points
Salad one serving w/dressing 9 points
1 breadstick with butter spread 3 points

Total is 37 points. Great! I can eat half and take the other half home. I have only used 3 points today and we'll be leaving here in 45 minutes. I can do this! YEAH!

Hi Connie
How are you? I hope you have a lovely times on this Sunday and hope it will be nice weather ...

Oh Deb, I am afraid that we just booked freedom of the Seas for my special birthday and Ian don't want to do PC again... I know I will miss you all, if I won lottery, I jump in and bring my ladies friend ::yes::

Marilyn - if you want Chinese food.....take away or dine in....China One gets my vote. It's over in Champions Gate. Let me know if you'd like me to drop off a menu to you :goodvibes (there are 2 new chinese places closer but they're NOTHING like China One)

Carolyn and Peter like Chinese I think. We like a little. Thanks for the recommendations!!!! We have just been over there to shop. I LOVE Publix!!!

Yes, I feel the same way. However we did have a good cappuccino at the kiosk on the way to Testrack at the entrance to Universe of Energy. They did some enormous muffins etc but not the cakes we are after. Kringla Bakery at Norway had some really nice offerings.

Oh, we liked it there too and I couldn't believe it when they changed it to an ice cream shop!:confused3 It always seemed popular.

I always read your large print posts in a loud voice!!!:lmao::lmao:

It is still very hot isn't it. Looking forward to tomorrow.

as there are now 2 Publix'.....it's in the same shopping center as the Mc Donald's (not the one with Wachovia). :thumbsup2

Talking about them is making me think I may want some tonight :rotfl:

Are you all settled in now?

Hey Monica...

Our little guy says you are not online... please fix so we can have some good office gossip!!!

Deb, I hope you haven't left yet, but here goes anyway, ask for the to-go container FIRST. Put half in before you start to eat.

And I know that the Venetian Apricot Chicken there is only 7 points. And you can think of me while your eating it.:rotfl2:

I finish work and rush home to watch Amerian Idol result...

Oh I feel so sad as Danny sang so beautiful ..'YOu are so Beautiful' that make me emotional...

Deb - have u see it?

I listen over and over that music sound that he beat Donny Osmond song :rotfl:

Danny got a lovely voice...

Epcot is about as good as it gets for pastry.

I had been really looking forward to a cinnamon bun and coffee at the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom.

I had one and it was awful. I'm not sure what they did to them, but it was hard and not as good as they used to be.

The Boardwalk Bakery is the other good spot in WDW.

Perhaps we're in the minority as far as the coffee and pastry crowd goes.

I do remember once having a fabulous time sitting outside the Boardwalk Bakery just having a really good coffee and a big slice of chocolate/peanut butter layer cake.

WELL IT IS RAINING AND TOO COLD HERE FOR TOMORROW GRRRRR...:lmao::lmao:

Actually my special birthday is in Feb so we booked Easter 10 April 2011 and we want to have more than 2 weeks in Florida if possible...

Something seems to be wrong with photobucket, it won't even let me into my albums right now. Will try again later

We called in the closer one to check what it sold and it has everything. But, I thought there was a Dunkin Donuts at Champions Gate, and I wanted coffee and donuts for lunch(some Brits say their coffee is really good), so we thought as we were picking up ice cream we had better go after. Unfortunately I was wrong about the Dunkin donuts, so we just bought one from Publix!!!!

What actually is Wachovia? We noticed it and it sounds spooky!!!:lmao:

We are well settled thank you. Have some UK friends coming over any time. Shame about the weather.

The booklet the owners have here have a good few pages on nasty Florida wildlife. I'm staying inside this little house and netted pool area.:scared1::scared1::scared1:

The cakes are lovely at the Boardwalk Bakery, but unfortunately the coffee is just the normal Disney rubbish.

Wachovia is a bank.

There is a Dunkin' Donuts....it's behind the CVS pharmacy - at the light at Lake Wilson & US 532 (where you would go left to go back to I4) I have heard that their coffee is yummy.
