Good news!!

Dad (& his embolism (or however it's spelled)) made it home safe & sound...now hopefully Mom will get him to go to the dr's asap.

Oh Monica I am please to hear about it...:thumbsup2

Well, my vacation is over.

I arrived home on Monday and learned my son has lost his job, everyone working for his company in his town has been laid off, there have already been many employees laid off in other areas of the province, so he is not likely to be called back anytime soon.

My dad has broken his nose  My parents just arrived yesterday in PEI at their cottage for the summer. My dad was climbing the fence (he's only 75 ) and fell and hit his nose...hard!! It needs to be fixed, but they have to wait for the swelling to go down. He will probably get it "fixed" on Monday.

I am getting audited at work tomorrow :scared1: It's a company audit, not government, so shouldn't be too bad...I hope

Oh no I hate that happened and hope you are keeping well and i know it is not easy to worry about it...

I never forget that we came home after Disney Med 07 and we find out that Ian's best friend died of heart attack he was very young... We were shocking to hear about it.

Here's where I spent a lot of time in 2008, post canal days!

Monica and I were in these two chairs ALL DAY Puerto Vallarta day! :thumbsup2

.

Wish I am there now to have relax after had the worries.....

Oh no! How did she do that to her eye?! I hope the drops help it feel better quickly.

I have no idea what happened and how she done it as doctor keep asking question, she refused to answer it.... she keep said spider egg which I have no clue what she was talking about it...

This morning she got up late morning and very happy cheerful and her eye heal up so I have explain her about eye drop must do it for 5 days....

Wow it has been terrible weather this afternoon and evening. It was quite scary driving to the airport as it was fierce rain. Once back at the villa it was nice enough for the children to have a good swim/play in the pool, but it has rained all evening. Some of us went to DTD and there were enormous puddles - most of which we managed to walk in in the dark!!! Oh, I wish it would clear up - I'm fed up now.

Oh I read about UK forum and I understand how they feel so you... I would be fed up if it was me too... I do hope stop raining soon......

OH< poor kid! how did it happen? Playing sports?

I dont know as it was first in the morning as she was so grumpy and moody I thought just her... then I realised in the afternoon....

So... where'd everyone go???

You would think that Marilyn's grandchildren showed up or something... :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Tomorrow after work I'm going to Olive Garden with a few friends, so I looked up the Venetian chicken to find out what it is. :goodvibes Thanks to Venetia for posting to Deb about it! :thumbsup2 I don't think I'd like it though, so I'm going to stick with the minestrone soup and absolutely have to allow myself ONE breadstick. I'd love the salad, but read how much fat is in the dressing! YIKES! I'll ask if they can possibly give me some before the dressing gets mixed in, but I can't imagine eating straight veggies like that. Yuck. I'll try though! Wish me luck!

Ask for the dressing on the side.

Do not pour the dressing over the salad, instead, dip your fork in the dressing and then spear some salad. You will use way less dressing this way.

Happy Thursday everyone.

Another idea is Kraft makes a low cal or ff dressing that you can get at the grocery store that comes in individual serving packs. You can just throw one in your purse and are good to go. I personally have not tried them, just seen them, I do what Ian suggested, on the side.

Oh, I know all that, but I just don't know if Olive Garden will give me salad without dressing. You know how they give you the giant bowl for everybody that's already mixed with dressing? I don't know if they do individual requests and a separate bowl. But I'll certainly ask and will bring something of my own just in case. :thumbsup2

THANKS! :goodvibes

I'm sure they'll give you your own bowl w/o dressing. I've asked before for salad w/ very little dressing & they've done that. I always ask for dressing on the side now & do what Ian said...dip fork into dressing then get salad.

Well, mom and I are venturing out tonight... I need to go find a decent pair of sneakers... the ones I got last year for the cruise are so crappy I've gone back to wearing my older crappy ones with more support... (they are also toned green because I used to cut the grass in them too...)

Oh and Ian... the D A M N birds are ignoring the D A M N birdbath...:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
