Oh dear

just back from sick children hospital

Olivia was so grumpy all day and her left eye all red and swollen... then I noticed it still water running all day and I knew it as I had it before mean eye scratched...

I phoned the doctor and had to taken her to kids sick hospital and yes it was scratch near her eyeball!!! They gave her eye drop and dye her eye to see if any scratch right enough... oohh it is very painful and now she is sleeping at it was 10 pm tonight...

Good news!!

Dad (& his embolism (or however it's spelled)) made it home safe & sound...now hopefully Mom will get him to go to the dr's asap.

Good news and a great relief for you and your mom.

Well, my vacation is over.

I arrived home on Monday and learned my son has lost his job,everyone working for his company in his town has been laid off, there have already been many employees laid off in other areas of the province, so he is not likely to be called back anytime soon.

My dad has broken his nose My parents just arrived yesterday in PEI at their cottage for the summer. My dad was climbing the fence (he's only 75 ) and fell and hit his nose...hard!! It needs to be fixed, but they have to wait for the swelling to go down. He will probably get it "fixed" on Monday.

I am getting audited at work tomorrow It's a company audit, not government, so shouldn't be too bad...I hope

Wow it has been terrible weather this afternoon and evening. It was quite scary driving to the airport as it was fierce rain. Once back at the villa it was nice enough for the children to have a good swim/play in the pool, but it has rained all evening. Some of us went to DTD and there were enormous puddles - most of which we managed to walk in in the dark!!! Oh, I wish it would clear up - I'm fed up now.

Well, Tyler was on a cleaning streak again today. Yesterday morning he tried to wake me up 45 minutes before the alarm was supposed to go off, I told him I'm not ready to wake up yet, so he spent that whole time cleaning his bedroom, today was the same, but he cleaned the living room this morning! So sometime this weekend I'll do the bathroom and kitchen, and if I feel adventurous, will try to clean my bedroom.

I've spent my evening sucked into Webkinz games and lying on the couch watching TV. Very nice and relaxing evening!

Kathe - wow, that's a lot of bad news soon after a vacation. Hopefully your son can find something else. Aren't you planning a trip to see him this summer?


Now I'm off to exercise, as I've been slipping on my eating this week, and need to smarten up before I weigh in again. Also, I'm sleeping lousy, and exercise in the early evening usually means I go to sleep at a decent hour.

Its hard to get motivated for food and exercising all at once. I usually do okay with both for a little bit, then slack off on the exercising and then start to slip on the eating well. Oh, well, as long at least I'm recognizing the pattern now, so I am learning.
