Now, about 2 hours later I am done with my office! That was the worst of the rooms. I can't believe how jumbled everything was and all of the transformers and cords that I had to throw out.

Sukie insisted I give the floor a good clean, which I did, with rags and scrubbing bubbles on my hands and knees.

I hate cleaning, but actually I only really hate light cleaning. I actually sort of like heavy cleaning. I also much prefer to use a scrub brush on floors and do them on my hands and knees. Bucket and mops drive me crazy.

Now, I wonder if I will be permitted to go to the ball?

How do Truman and Tallulah look as horses??? I bet Mrs F would look SMASHING as a pumpkin... a yellow one, but cute just the same...

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!

And just to clarify the mom story, I was setting up an April Fools joke. But my usually easy going and able to joke with mom swallowed the hole dang hook line and sinker way too soon and got all serious, and cried at night , and got her fellings hurt, and I had to call it off, and she got even madder that it was a joke:mad:, and didnt want to talk to me for a long time, and thought Venetia and I and my brother were horrible people, and I was just being mean and spiteful to her, and Venetia and I werent the solid rocks in the family anymore, and today will be the first time I've seen her since and it should be FACINATING!!! :thumbsup2

Have a great day everyone, and you too eh!!

But she did think Gaylean was gorgeous!

Well, it has only been 12 days... or so... Never trick your mother... she went through HOW MANY hours/days in labor with you???

Spill the story....you know we have to know now. And congrats on having the April Fools of the year joke/trick :thumbsup2

G will spill...

Oh, NO! Moldy? :scared1::scared1: Yikes! I guess I'll be spending a lot of time on deck. I drive David crazy because I can't stand a lot of restaurants (especially the "less expensive" ones because as soon as I walk in I can tell they wiped the tables and/or mopped the floor with a mildewed rag/mop. It just about makes me want to vomit!

But it will be fine. I'll just have to bribe myself with the knowledge that we will be on another Disney cruise SOMEDAY (but I sure wish I had one booked NOW!:mad:)

Bring a can of lysol...

please keep us updated on this Marilyn. I thought she was amazing. She sure knocked the eye rolls off the audiences faces, Eh?

Can't wait to see how it turns out... & Simon hardly EVER smiles...

Tsk Tsk tsk... You mean spirited person. To do that to your own mother ... :upsidedow

Yeah.. like you don't have the wheels turning up in YOUR head... ;)

Some Easter morning pics from our place ...

The Easter Bunny played a trick on the girls. He put the baskets a little high up for the girls to get at this morning when they woke up:

But then they tore into the baskets:

and then we had breakfast:

And what was inside the Macy's bags you ask? Well, every year my mother sends Easter dresses up for the girls (she works for Macy's). It is a hilight of Easter for the girls:

Happy Easter everyone!!

The girls look beautiful!!! I love the dresses... I was gonna say I think you might want to use the 2nd from the bottom as an Xmas card, but I really love the last one!!!

Happy Easter everybody! I see Ken already shared pics from our morning. Today was the first day trying out the Mickey pancake shapers. They worked great. The first couple weren't too good because I put too much batter in, but by the end I was getting them all good.

I had originally planned to get lots done this weeked, but I'm not. I spent 2 evenings helping a friend make a cake, and then Sat afternoon at the party. Now, I've revised my weekend goals to getting enough :laundy: done so that whatever is left will at least fit in the laundry hampers. ;)

Hi Shannon... so where did you find the Mickey pancake shaper???

I'll keep that in mind! Our trip is April 23-26. I was under the impression they don't have drink machines on Carnival. You have to buy sodas. I'm bringing my own anyway.

Bring a case... and some wine... and a bottle of bubbly... and your tiara... :cutie:

Happy Easter everyone!!

Very cute pictures, Ken! :goodvibes Smart Easter bunny putting the baskets up high! :rotfl2: Love the dresses, love the Mickey pancakes, looks like a nice day for all! :thumbsup2

Hey Holly I just read a note about GPs else where and it made me think that you could look for one at the animal shelter. Not sure if you will find them in your area or not, but it would be a nice way to save a life...just a thought;)
Nan, that's a great idea, I never would have though to look there because I guess I just assumed they only have dogs and cats. Thanks, I'll check it out for sure! :thumbsup2

You have to pay for sodas, but there are drink machines where you can get orange juice, apple juice, hawaiian punch, and I think lemonade for no charge.

::yes::, but they sold a "refillable" mug for soda. Now I can't remember how they got filled, I can't imagine that I went to the bar for that, but maybe it was...

Well, we had a pretty fun day. After church we headed out of town to my dad's, but made a few stops on the way. We tried to stop and visit my mom but she wasn't home, so we killed time by checking to see if she was over at my aunt's house (she wasn't), then we went to look at a pet store at guinea pigs (but they didn't have any). Tyler wanted to see the place where I got my tattoos, so we stopped there briefly. He wants to watch me get the next one. :rotfl2:

Spent a few hours at my dad's, Tyler was thrilled to play with his cousins. Only problem is that he was SO excited, it was obvious that the other kids were a bit annoyed by him. He doesn't take social cues very well, and had a hard time calming his excitement. He was just so happy to see them. They were pretty good about being patient with him though.

The Easter egg hunt was fun, especially since last year we had to just look for holes in the snow to find the eggs, and the year before it was rainy and muddy. Today was sunny and warm, no coats needed! We all ate lots of dinner and lots of desserts and left their house about 6:30, Tyler was asleep soon into the drive and slept an hour on the way home, then into bed when we got home to read bedtime book. I'M POOPED and am heading to bed soon (unless Desperate Housewives is on late, then I'll have to watch it). :thumbsup2

I have no idea, never saw that. I just bought three 2L bottles of pop at our first port and brought them back and kept them in my room so I could have pop whenever I wanted. :thumbsup2

Happy Easter everyone!!
I sure wish I could get Alison to wear a dress! She hasn't willingly worn one except on the cruise or to a "formal" event, since she was about 10. Sigh....

I think she's starting to come out of that phase, though. We went to see Phantom of the Opera at the Pantages last month, and she actually put on a dress first, then eventually changed into her uniform; skinny jeans, ballet flats and a cute top.

I'm putting my hope in grandkids some day. They say these things skip a generation, in which case, my granddaughters will wear anything you put on them, but they will have absolutely NO sense of style of their own! I gotta give Ali that much. She always looks cute!

Hi Shannon... so where did you find the Mickey pancake shaper???

I found them at the World of Disney when we were there last month.

Shannon likes to play around with making different shapes when making pancakes so I thought these would be good. We had some metal shapes for pancakes in the past but they never worked properly. These ones worked great once Shannon figured out how much batter to put in them so they didn't overrun.

OK, I'm grumpy now. I stayed up later than planned after seeing that Extreme Makeover Home Edition was a 2-hour one, hoping Desperate Housewives would still becoming on afterwards. I'm tired from all the driving and I have pink eye, so my eye is sore and wanting to be closed, and NOW I find out Desperate Housewives is a REPEAT. Stayed up late for nothing. I'm headed to bed.....completely wiped out.

Goodnight all! :cloud9:

Tyler and I only get to have breakfast together on Sundays, so now you have me wanting to do our Mickey pancakes! We have a Mickey waffle iron, but they turn out more like pancakes. I feel a "breakfast for dinner" night coming on soon! :goodvibes Yummy!!!

Oh, I HATE when that happens! Sleep well and things will definitely look brighter tomorrow! :flower3: Good night!

So that your pancakes don't come out looking like Donald Duck??? :rotfl:

Sure wish I had a Disney Cruise booked so I had need of a magnet. Sigh... I am going on a cruise and I'm trying to be excited about it. A couple of girlfriends and I always go out to dinner for each other's birthdays every year. Last year we decided that instead of going out to a nice dinner 3x per year, we would go away for a weekend once per year.

So we finally nailed down a weekend and started to research options for locations. We discovered we could do a 3-day Carnival cruise for $200 each. We figured we could hardly do a hotel and meals for that, so we booked it.

I'm sure it will be fun because I'm with my two best girlfriends in the whole world, BUT...I've only ever been on the Magic before and I KNOW I'm going to be disappointed!

How ungrateful is that? Here I get to have a nice weekend away on a cruise ship with great friends and I'm whining because it's not DCL! Geez!

Hi Tracy - I'm on my 1st non-Disney cruise in 2 weeks.....I'm excited about being on NCL to see what else is out there, but I'm sad that I'm not doing any magnets for it :rotfl:

Don't go into this telling yourself you'll be disappointed - if you do that, then you WILL be disappointed. Go into it telling yourself that while it's not Disney you can still enjoy yourself. I think the biggest thing for me is going to be that I don't have the same wait staff each evening. :rotfl:

Thanks for that. Just watched Sound of Music this weekend too!

....I did complete my taxes yesterday and am getting back a couple of hundred more than expected, so that was a nice surprise....

.

I'm so proud of you!
