Well this time we played Race for the Galaxy and looked over BattleLore. I think Shannon has answered the rest. Their kids are 1 and 3 and the board games we are generally taking about are not kid games or your usual Monopoly type games, so even some of our games are too much for our kids.

Ken was actually playing board games with the husband, and I was helping the wife put together a cake for her kids birthday party. She decided to make a 3D castle cake using fondant to decorate it. We started at 9 and it still wasn't finished when we left as 12:30. It was the first time either her or I had worked with fondant. Its not something I'd recommend. Very slow going.

Today all 4 of us will go over there for the party, then home to decorate Easter eggs

Have a great time today! I'd love to see a picture of the cake!

Today I'm watching "A Haunting" Seasons 1 and 2! I used to LOVE watching this on Saturdays when I had cable! Probably won't be able to watch much of it though because I didn't get out of bed until almost 2pm. Stayed up too late last night because of my afternoon nap!

Good morning all!

I did sleep in this morning, until 7:30! That's 2-1/2 hours more than I usually do. Of course I also went to be late, at about midnight, though I had fallen asleep in front of the telly much earlier than that.

It was a productive evening. I finished reinstalling Sukie's retiring iMac, and getting it partially ready for its next owner.

Very laid back day here at Eastwood Manor.

A tiny bit of grocery shopping.

The main event is that our Smart dealer is having a 1 year anniversary celebration and meet-up, breakfast buffet and road rally.

Seeing as the green grocer is around the corner from the Smart dealer we will drop in. Sukie can have some breakfast. it will be nice to meet other Chicagoland owners.

I don't think we will be going on the mystery road rally. I really don't fancy spending my day on this.

Ian please post some of the pictures or a link to them over here...

So I guess by the time we add the Pirates and the Thieves and all the newbies.....we're going to have a great DISer nation onboard again. We'll be taking over the ship!

It will keep her going until training camp starts up here (they train at SUNY Albany...) for her beloved Giants...

It is hard at first. I know I was really intimidated to start talking on here at first.

Ok... here's my theory about the next PC repo thread...

I think theres going to be a little bit of a rivalry because, hey... we ALL think our cruise was THE best... (and you know...it was...gotta admit it... it was...)

They had more Disers, but if you read alot of the reports and a little bit about their thread... they didn't get along as well as we did... maybe it was because of the amount of people on the trip... I don't know... they also had a rougher crossing (not ship wise... but events wise) because of all the kids on board at that time.

In other words... we had two totally different experiences... (personally I think we got the better one, but I'm biased and since my plans to get only one rain shower (at night) worked out and they got drenched going through the Gatun Locks.... oh well...

And we had Champagne... And Shots... and... well...


So... this is what I think... we're either all gonna gel, or it's going to be like West Side Story... The Sharks vs the Jets... or rather the Thieves vs the Pirates...

And going on the way that Ian usually thinks... that means that there will be a rumble up by the goofy pool right after the tropical party. We're going to be fighting over turkey legs and chocolate covered strawberries...

& God forbid they take my chair while watching movies up on deck at night...



All kidding aside... however... if by chance we DO get Joey Fatone on board again... I cannot guarantee my behavior... I'm sure he's a nice guy and all, but come on... can't they get someone else??? Or perhaps we could leave him in Acapulco where we picked him up???

OK, haunting stories don't scare me if it's just ghosts scaring people away. But when they start talking about demon possession and doing exorcisms, that really scares the crap out of me because that's something I truly believe in. One branch of my family had a strong Catholic background and my grandma brought me up believing in that stuff because it supposedly happened to somebody in her family. A certain recurring dream I used to have as a kid (and continued to have as an adult---but not since I had Tyler) used to worry her like crazy!

Michelle, I agree mostly with your theory. I sort of suspect we might have to continue to have 2 separate threads going. But that's OK because this group will continue to get along as we always have.

About Joey Fatone, my thoughts remain the same as they did before our PC cruise: Why does DCL continue to bring old "has beens" onboard? It would be nice if they could get some current talent. Sorry if I offended anybody, it's just how I feel.

Who knows. With their 600 DISers and our 400 we can really make a fun trip. Our last trip will always be special to us since it was our first and we got really lucky by finding the DIS boards and meeting everyone.

Can you imagine if half the ship is DISers. Wow....that will be incredible.

Our last trip will always be special to us too since we met all of you!!!



A good question is: are they on thread #12 too because they're still all friends with each other???

Of course, we go beyond friends coz we all are family that really really loves each other.

I don't think they have that. We'll see.

Then, can we have that with them? Maybe some?

Guess we'll find out. We've got two years.

Here's my 2 cents ...

this is going to be my main thread I check regularly. Always has been - heck I can't remember the last time I even checked any other portion of the boards ... And used to check out the Disigns threads and the camera/photography threads regularly.

As for the new repo thread, I'll check in there once in awhile or when this one is slow, but until we get closer to the date it's not going to be a big deal to me. I won't be posting our daily activities or things about our daily/personal lives over there as I don't know most of them and who's to say everyone that is on there now will still make it when it's time to ante up? So I'm not going to worry about much over there until we see who all is going on the trip.

But this is where my friends are so this is my main thread for everything. The other thread will only get going for me once we get confirmation that we are going (royal we not just Shannon and I).

As for Thieves vs. Pirates. Remember that Pirates are loud and bositerous. Thieves are much more sneaky ...
