Tyler and I were talking about the PC cruise after work today and I told him I just need to get his dad's OK to let me take him away for 15 days again. He said, "this cruise will be 15 days like the last one?!" I told him it should be and he YELLED: "AWESOME!!!!" He was telling me he just found out about the Nickelodeon cruise and that he thinks that would be cool to try sometime, until I told him those are only 7 day cruises, then he told me "nevermind".

Wise boy!! That is just how I feel!!

I'm thinking I went into a deep depression after the cruise was over

It was a very difficult time. I couldn't understand the folk who just could get on with life - must have been nice. I still can get a bit upset because it is over and won't ever happen again however hard we all try to get together.

I must arise much before dawn tomorrow to take MaMa to the surgeon to have a skin cancer removed... it will be an all day event possibly... (they told me to bring lunch...)

I told her next time we're having a brow lift and some lipo if she's gonna keep this up...

If you like chili I have a great recipe that is only 1 point. I serve it to people that aren't on WW and they love it. I eat it for breakfast because it keeps me satisfied and all you have to do is heat it up.

Hey, even though I'm not doing WW, I'm still trying to cut back and be more careful about what I eat, and I LOVE chili, so could I have your recipe too please?

Doesn't matter, I just told them January or February and explained why I don't know the date and why the need to know in advance, and was told I can go and to just put it on our time off calendar when I know the dates.

I know, I'm feeling very lucky! It's really a great place to work because of the flexibility. But I was worried though, because typically, we're not allowed to take 2 weeks off at once. I was only allowed to because I wasn't technically called a full-time employee because I worked just less than 2 hours short of full-time at the time I booked the last PC cruise. Then after they gave me those extra couple hours per week and labelled me officially as full-time, I already had the trip booked and the time off approved, so I got away with it.

THIS time, I figured they'd say no because I'm now officially labelled full-time, there's sort of a loophole in our employee manual. Our employe manual says nobody may take 2 weeks off in a row unless we get prior approval from one of the three shareholders (that caveat is in fine print, so nobody ever notices it). So I went straight to one of those shareholders (Mr. Energizer Bunny) and all is good!

I agree. We have some pretty strange rules where I work though. Another annoying one is not being allowed to adjust our lunch hour if we have appointments during the day. For example, I am to take my lunch from 12:30pm to 1:30pm (on the 2 days I take a lunch), and Tyler's next med check is at 2pm, so rather than allowing me to just take my lunch a bit later, I have to just stay gone until after his appointment is done, meaning I'm missing more time where I could be at work being productive. It's nutty.

Well... we are home... We arrived at the Drs at 6:45 and we got home around Noon... I had to run to get mom's meds and soup for lunch and spoil her silly with pudding and now she is resting... It was alot more complicated than we thought it would be... she has a huge bandage on and now looks like the fife player from Spirit of '76....

So we're booked to do the 11 night Christmas cruise in 2010 and then I told John about the next WBPC repo with a Thieves reunion probably going on in February 2011. I said there's no way we can afford a cruise two months appart. He said cancel the Christmas cruise I'd rather do the reunion cruise with the Theives!

Oh boy I feel so sorry for everyone going on that cruise that is not one of the Thieves. We'll be taking over the boat!
