Hoist yer colors ye bloomin' cockroaches!!!!

And yes Michelle, they found ALL the eggs. Each kid had to count their eggs to see who won the extra prize. That was Brooke, and she got a five dollar bill. I think she had like thirty five. Each kid had around 30 or so . And most had candy inside and a few had coins inside. As you can see by the pictures they all had a lot of fun.![]()
I love it!!! Canadian footballs as eggs! You are just surrounded by Canadiana and you don't even realize it!!

Not as of yet and I've had to stop drinking lime juice... it has upset my tummy...
and I'm about to retire to my sickbed... so I can go and watch the stuff I taped on my DVR over the weekend...
And to think... it all started with dinner at Jumpin Jacks...
Oh and Marilyn... they are "guessing" over on the main threads that the next PC repo may be between Feb and April because the new ship is due 1st quarter in 2011...
Marilyn, Marilyn, Marilyn ... dear, sweet, misguided, Marilyn.
This is a Americanism that has crept into British English over the past 20 years. When I lived there, people did not use the word cookie, which as we all know has it's origins with the Dutch.
Cookie crept into American English because of the Dutch colony of Nieuw Amsterdam, and then later became part of standard American English, along with other such words as stoop (as in front stairs to a house), boss, and poppycock (which is sluring of poppekak, which means, 'powdered doll poop' ... OK, don't ask me why, it just is.).
Marilyn, you are not holding up your end (I mean your end of the job of preserving the language. I don't mean literally holding up your "end.")
The British have already absorbed such Americanisms as "commute," "cocktail," and other such things.
So, for the sake of the Empire, please use care with the words you choose.
Well, the weekend is about over.
I worked both days, but got to fit in some other things along the way.
Yesterday, Sophia and I went to "Art is Alive", a local art festival here at our Cultural Center where local artists sell their work. She picked up a couple of pieces of Jewelry - one, a bracelet made from old silver spoons, and another a pendant made from a small domino painted on one side. Unique cool stuff.
Then we went to see the exhibit at the museum - Kimono as Art. Only showing in two places in the US - Canton, and San Diego - go figure. Actually, a wealthy local businessman had a hand in bringing it here. While they were quite beautiful and I can appreciate the craftsmanship - not quite my cup of tea.

Today, since the sun was shining, it was yardwork after work (the first cut of the season) and power washing outdoor furniture. Then a quick bike ride after dinner.
I'm bushed!
Welcome back Marilyn! Too bad you got laryngitis.
Yeah Marilyn... just don't call the loo the crapper...![]()
