It has started snowing here ... hard! Crap!
Then it's moving pretty slow because it hasn't started here yet, 3 hours after your post. It started raining here about 6:30pm. I told Tyler he's going to be shocked when he looks outside in the morning! We're ready! I'm going to stay awake until it starts snowing, just to make sure it's really going to happen.

I am at last done migrating the two Mac!

My new machine is all set up (I'm on it now) and I'm loving it because of the 24-inch screen and it's just so gosh darn peppy! Even Windows running under a virtual PC on my Mac is faster than my supped up HP Laptop at work!

I was up past 11PM yesterday, migrating Sukie's stuff from his old Mac to my old Mac (which was not exactly a wimpy machine).

I finished it off, part before I left for WW this morning and part when I came home.

Last night there were general hysterics around the migration of his stuff. I don't see why? He only has his history book on his old machine, which represents about 10 years of research and writing. I can't imagine why he was nervous.

(And yes we have backups of his stuff. We have backups up the wahzoo!. His machine backs-up every hour to an external drive using an Apple Mac feature called Time Capsule. His files also backup continuously with every change he makes to an external service called "Sugarsync." Something I also use and is FABULOUS, but that's another story. In addition his files backup to another external source called iDisk on the web.)

However, he was nervous that I was going to lose something.

This afternoon, he was happy as a clam. He is happy with the machine.

In fact, I had to readjust to a new noise in the house .... silence. Not quite sure how to react now that the whining buzz is gone.

Sukie will be using TWO iMacs this week, his new one, and the old one to cross check in case he thinks I failed to move something over.

I think NEXT weekend, I start getting his old iMac cleaned off and ready for it's next owner. I think that it quite a fine machine and will be even better once I wipe it clean and do a nice fresh install.

So, now my time is my own.

Now off to dinner.
:yay::dance3::woohoo::dance3::yay::dance3::woohoo::dance3::yay:

Well, the weekend is about over.

I worked both days, but got to fit in some other things along the way.

Yesterday, Sophia and I went to "Art is Alive", a local art festival here at our Cultural Center where local artists sell their work. She picked up a couple of pieces of Jewelry - one, a bracelet made from old silver spoons, and another a pendant made from a small domino painted on one side. Unique cool stuff.

Then we went to see the exhibit at the museum - Kimono as Art. Only showing in two places in the US - Canton, and San Diego - go figure. Actually, a wealthy local businessman had a hand in bringing it here. While they were quite beautiful and I can appreciate the craftsmanship - not quite my cup of tea.

Today, since the sun was shining, it was yardwork after work (the first cut of the season) and power washing outdoor furniture. Then a quick bike ride after dinner.

I'm bushed!
I was noticing to day that all the grass here is finally green and starting to grow.

Besides... you never buy tickets on Ebay... you will never know if they are real or not or what is on them (if they will let you use them...) until you get to WDW...

Not worth it...

That's what I worry about with the tickets they sell on I Drive and 192. Are they real? Do they really have days left? Can you really use them?

Where did they get them? so many questions,no answers

Welcome back Marilyn! Too bad you got laryngitis.

Nan - congrats to Wilson! That's an excellent finish!

John - the kimono exhibit sounds interesting. Glad you got some fun stuff in.

Bubba/Venetia/Gaylean - glad you had a good time, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures.

This afternoon we tried out the Disney Dance Revolution game. Ken, Shaelyn and I enjoyed it. Kaleigh wasn't impressed. The team option works really well with Shaelyn. Its less frustrating for her to work as a team, instead of constantly losing.

Well, I'm off to go pay bills :sad2:

Dang it, I taped Desperate Housewives for no reason....it's a repeat. Oh well, I guess I should go to bed. Sorry Bubba, I was hoping to see those pictures tonight, but it's almost midnight here. Looking forward to seeing them tomorrow though! :thumbsup2

OK, I had to check one more time for pictures because I knew as soon as I went to bed, they'd show up. ;) Great pictures! That's a LOT OF EGGS!!!! Are they all filled with candy? Nice to see a warm and sunny Easter with green grass. Our Easter egg hunts are usually in rain or snow or mud.

Wow, I just looked outside, there's NO more grass in sight, it's all WHITE! :thumbsup2 And it's falling really heavily, and it's that thick wet stuff, so we'll be able to make a snowman too!

Marilyn, Marilyn, Marilyn ... dear, sweet, misguided, Marilyn.

This is a Americanism that has crept into British English over the past 20 years. When I lived there, people did not use the word cookie, which as we all know has it's origins with the Dutch.

Cookie crept into American English because of the Dutch colony of Nieuw Amsterdam, and then later became part of standard American English, along with other such words as stoop (as in front stairs to a house), boss, and poppycock (which is sluring of poppekak, which means, 'powdered doll poop' ... OK, don't ask me why, it just is.).

Marilyn, you are not holding up your end (I mean your end of the job of preserving the language. I don't mean literally holding up your "end.")

The British have already absorbed such Americanisms as "commute," "cocktail," and other such things.

So, for the sake of the Empire, please use care with the words you choose.

Yeah Marilyn... just don't call the loo the crapper... :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Tell Sukie that he's going to be fine... a copy of all his work has been hermetically sealed in a Mayo Jar in the front window on Funk and Wagoners...

And yes Michelle, they found ALL the eggs. Each kid had to count their eggs to see who won the extra prize. That was Brooke, and she got a five dollar bill. I think she had like thirty five. Each kid had around 30 or so . And most had candy inside and a few had coins inside. As you can see by the pictures they all had a lot of fun.:thumbsup2

What makes them Canadian eh? Look like regular ole footballs to me eh!:confused3

The racing stripes!

The circles on the nose. NFL balls have no stripes. NCAA balls have 1/2 - 3/4 stripes. Canadian footballs have full circles.
