I truly believe that spring may have sprung up here!

Cleaned out the garage this afternoon and took a few trips to the dump. Also was able to finally take down all of the Christmas decorations from outside of the house.

It has been around 10C (50F) around here most of the day!!

A tear in my eye! I have started the fresh install of OS X Leopard on my old iMac. The disks is being wiped clean even as I sit here typing.

There's no going back now!

(And to think, this all started because Sukie was whining that he wanted a faster iMac!)

The big thing that a lot of Americans don't realize is just how great the interstate system truly is. It makes it nice to drive through the states. I can truly appreciate enjoying the drive from your place to Florida.

And when you drive you have your own freedom. You don't have to rely on pre-arranged shuttles or cabs. And with 4 of us, that can make a difference. Especially when you have kids and a wife that get car sick in buses really easily.

I had no idea that Canada had paved roads! You learn something new every single day!

we have the odd one here and there. They make it a little easier for riding in the horse and buggy.

Canada is becoming quite modern isn't it. I'm sure you life must be must easier now that steam power is so widely available there.

I'm still sitting here, installing applications on my new iMac.

Well, I haven't been necessarily sitting all day, I took a little break when I was copying files over (that took an hour).

I now have to reinstall MS Office, Photoshop CS3, and the other 20 or so application I use.

Then when I'm done, I reformat my machine, do a clean install of OS X Leopard and start the whole process again, but this time moving from Sukie's "old" iMac, to my "old" iMac.
What a pain in the booty!

So here I sit on a Saturday night, Tyler was sound asleep by 7:15. I think I might have a couple beers in the fridge, might have to crack one open! :goodvibes

A very proud mom wanted me to post this for her...

GO SPEED!!!!!!!!!

Wow Ken, it's warmer way up there than it is down here, it got up to about 45 I think. Tomorrow our high is supposed to only be in the 30s(F) for about 3 days.

Good work, Ian! Is Sukie getting excited?

Nothing real special, for me anyway. I'm keeping it very simple this year. Just trying some new flavors of matzo, that's about as adventurous as it's getting!

It's special that you're keeping the tradition. That's very important. And in my family, that always involved food. Enjoy the new matzo.

So, while I'm sitting here in the basement, between and waiting until I have to do the next thing on the keyboard, I decided to go through all of my disks of software and files.

I filled up an entire garbage bag with disks. I had disks going back to the early 90's! Plus diskettes! I haven't used diskettes in years!

For any of you who know Macs, I threw out diskettes of OS 7.5, 8 and 9!

I couldn't agree more. For us, it's John who gets sick when he gets on a plane. So it really makes sense for us to do the drive too.

I loved your video of your drive from home to DL. I can't believe you drive through the snow before it's plowed and salted on the main highway. Do they ever plow your roads?

All next week we are to get to a low of 28F and up to a high of 60F. Wednesday is going to have a low of 30F and a high of 60F.

No looking back now!! :worship::worship::worship:
