Sure...Walking playlist currently.(it is always evolving)

Name......Goo Goo Dolls
Low......(feat. T-Pain) Flo Rida
Nine Lives.....Tim McGraw & Def Leppard (one of my favorites, perfect walking beat)
Kryptonite.....3 Doors Down
Iris......The Goo Goo Dolls
Since U Been Gone.....Kelly Clarkson
I Need to Know.....Marc Anthony
Have a Nice Day......Bon Jovi
Livin' la Vida Loca....Ricky Martin
Higher Ground ....Red Hot Chili Peppers
Juke Box Hero....Foreigner
Hillbilly Deluxe....Brooks & Dunn

Ok... I could go for about 1/2 of those... I have to come up with a playlist for me... and I'm thinking of getting mom and Ipod for her bday (hey... if the Queen can have one... then the Queen mum must have one too...) and I think I'll fill it with lots of big band stuff cause the Dr. wants her to walk and we're joining the Y...

2 pointer for me would be the mint ice cream cone

:lovestruc

Do you have Skinny Cow products out there? I hear they are supposed to be good too... they've just come out with some new ice cream bars...

Hey, me too! The first of the year I decided enough was enough, so I went in and joined WW. I always had in the back of my mind that Ian was a WW leader and would periodically share tidbits here.

It's been the best thing ever! I actually go to meetings because I know my self well enough to know that i need the accountability and the camaraderie that going to meetings provides. I just wish Ian was my leader! Susan is awesome, but she's not a DISer!

So....I've lost 20.6 lbs since Jan 6!:banana::banana::banana: I'm so excited!!! I proudly carry my 10% keychain and I'm a bit evangelistic about it. It's just been about the easiest thing I've ever done!

Of course I still have 40+ pounds to lose, but hey, I'm not in a hurry. Once they come off they're staying off, and most of the time it's pretty easy to do. (Today was another story, but tomorrow is a brand new day!)

Gotta get me one of those pedometers, I guess. I never really understood the purpose, but it sounds like just another great accountability tool.

I also LOVE the WW frozen treats. My favorites are the Ice Cream Sandwiches and the Giant Cookies & Cream bars. YUM!!!

That's Great Tracy!!!

I started back in Oct - but then got a bit sidelined when my dad got sick and passed away. Now that the weather is getting better I think it may be time to get out and get moving again.

Great job! But I just cant believe you have that much more to lose! There wont be nothin left of you!. Giant cookies and cream are tasty! Skinny cow mint sandwiches are my fave. Dont care to much for the ww sandwiches.I just cant seem to get back on track since the cruise. Have gaind back 15 of the 40 I lost before we sailed. But I havent quit !

That's Great Tracy!!!

Michelle, we've got Skinny Cow products out here, I was looking at them in the grocery store this week, but still have some of my 100cal Breyer ice cream cups so didn't get any yet.

Good night Bubba.

Its time for me to hit the hay too

Sweet Mickey Dreams! Which reminds me, Deb hasn't been on since last week. I hope she's doing okay.

Good morning Marilyn and Deborah!

Did I tell you about the year we went to visit an old co worker of mine (we worked together at a hospital Lab in Dixon IL). anyway, she is from Hong Kong originally, and they moved back to Toronto. We went to visit them and it was DRAGON BOAT RACING:boat: weekend.....It's a BIG Chinese festival up there. We had such fun! I'd go b back to Toronto anytime, but I'd make sure I went to Niagara Falls again, too!

I'm sure Shannon has already mentioned this but because Vancouver has such a large Chinese population, Dragon Boat racing is a huge even there too and apparently quite the spectacle.

Way to go, Shannon! I'm sure you'll do great! :thumbsup2

My first class, well, about 1/2 way through class I thought I was going to throw up, then I got the chills towards the end, and ended up feeling like I was going to die. Like I mentioned, I've never done 300 jumping jacks before, and then it just got worse from there. It's an hour long, and you're not allowed to stop moving. If you're watching the instructor demonstrate something, you have to jog in place. If somebody's caught NOT moving, the whole class has to do 20 pushups. There was one other newbie, a dad, and he looked just as nervous as I was.

I found another mom who's pretty new, this was only her 3rd class, and told her I was pretty nervous. She told me everybody is nervous the first couple times and not to worry. I asked her if I really should be nervous or is it not as bad as I was afraid of, and she sort of chuckled and told me "Well, on my first class we were flipping people". :scared1: None of that went on in my class, fortunately! I used Tyler's weapons and some of his gear because mine won't be in for about 2 weeks. So I had short nunchucks and it looked funny, but it's fine for now. :thumbsup2

When I was signing up and came to the paper where I sign to say I agree not to sue them if I get hurt in class, and the owner reminded me that although the kids' classes are no-touch sparring, adults are full contact. :scared: I laughed and told him that after working at my job for over 4 years, I finally have health insurance and it started a couple weeks ago, so at least I'm covered! ;) What the heck did I get myself into?! :rotfl2: I'll go every Monday and Wednesday at 7:30 and Tyler and I will do the family class on Tuesdays at 6:45. :goodvibes I think there might be a Saturday morning class too.

Sounds like fun to me. I keep wanting to take a father/daughter Tae Kwon do class but Shaelyn isn't interested and Kaleigh is still too young.

Hi Ken... :yay:

It's time for me to go back and snooze again...

Please turn out the lights on your way out and don't forget to tell the gals in the UK good morning!!!!

Thanks... :flower3:

So once again Ian has cost me money.... (can you say Wii and Wii fit?)

Now it is WW for Shannon.

What's next?

Geez what a day and a trip ... It was certainly one for the memory books.

On the flight down to Vancouver my father remembers that he has forgotten his keys for his apartment down there (my dad actually lives in Prince George and just has a little place in Vancouver fo when we go down there). So we try and contact my uncle who has a spare set and lives a few doors down, but my uncle isn't answering his phone.

When we disembark the plane while waiting for the luggage, we luckily get ahold of my uncle and he gives us his key to my dad's apartment.

ONe of the reasons we were going down to vancouver was to bring my father's Cadillac back up to Prince George. He keeps it in Vancouver during the winter so it doesn't get wrecked during winter driving (keep this in mind as you read on).

So we go down to the garage to take the car to go get some supper, and the battery is dead in the car. Apparently my father forgot to disconnect the battery while storing the car for the past 3 months and because it has an onboard computer it actually drains at a quicker rate than most cars. We contact AAA (BCAA here) and schedule a car boost for in the morning.

At about 6:30am we get the car boosted and are on our way to our meeting at the Vancouver Auto show. Everything goes smoothly this morning....

Then we hit the road. Outside of 100 Mile House (Lac La Hache Provincial Park), my father gets nailed for a speeding ticket. $138.

Then just outside of McLeese Lake my father hits a dog that has run out on the highway. Yes he kills the dog, but it also hits the front of the Cadillac and cracks the bumper panel where the headlight meets the bumper. Stupid humans who live near a highway but don't bother to tie up their dog and the dog has to suffer because of it. The damage to the car will probably cost my father $500 due to insurance deductible.

Thank fully that was the end of the problems. No keys, dead battery, speeding ticket and hit a dog. So much for parking the cadillac down south so it doesn't get damaged during the winter ...

At least I got to see a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley and others up close and personal! Pics will follow - probably tomorrow.

Ok g'nite.

I'm calling it a night too.

Good morning Deborah and Marliyn!!

Here is my advice, which is the same advice I give at meetings.

Get a pedometer, and for 2 normal work days, measure how many steps you take on average per day, that will become your baseline.

Then set a goal of how many steps you want to increase it to everyday. Keep wearing the pedometer everyday, so you can see if you are reaching your goal.

My goal is 15,000 steps a day.

We wore a pedometer on a few trips to Orlando. When we were staying up near Universal, and walked to the parks, we were doing upwards of 26,000 steps a day!!!

We do walk a lit here as we live close to town, but some days we are lazy. I think we should try wearing one again.

I was looking at the other threads and I found out that some of you guys are cheating on us  By the way, I would love to go to Curacao and Mazatlan

Come and cheat with us!!;)

You should see me in front of a crowd on Sunday mornings.

I would like to. I bet you are very motivational, and obviously very helpful.

Ian... he looks better with a goofy hat... but that's an insult to Goofy...

& not that anyones impressed... but I lost 3 lbs on the "I've got a Kidney Stone Diet..."

Not the best way, but it all helps!!

And will this also include a title. Lord, Duke, Earl, Viscount maybe.

He can have whiche ver he chooses!!

After hearing Ian (and Venetia, too) talk about WW, today, I decided to join WW Online. So I'm all registered, got my points allotment, read through the points system explanation, tried the food tracking, figured out that the walk I did with the girls gives me 2 activity points. I've been thinking about it for a month, and today decided I needed a jumpstart plus the help to see if when I think I'm eating decently I really am.

All the best in you weight loss Shannon.

Way to go, Shannon! I'm sure you'll do great!
