Thanks Holly. Yes, hopefully it won't take too long. I'm still writing checks for him every month so the sooner the better.

By now you know that Survivor was a wash and Lost was awesome. I always wondered how Sayid managed to get on that flight in handcuffs.

With last night's ending.....now what's going to happen? Does that change everything??? I would think that it does. Hummmmmm.
I actually liked Survivor because they showed some things they didn't before. :thumbsup2 Yup, Lost was awesome as usual! ;)

Wish me luck today. We have Tyler's med check at 3:40 and I've already asked the Dr. for an increase in his dose because he's slowly escalating to where he was at the old school. He's only scheduled for 45 min in the morning and 45 min after lunch in the regular first grade classroom, and he often isn't even in control of himself to be in there that long. I've been faxing regular reports to the Dr., so when he talks about what's in those reports, his dad is going to be shocked, and mad that I haven't been notifiying him of this stuff too. My response: Well, the thought never crossed my mind that he wouldn't be contacting the school himself for updates just like I do. ;)

Then we leave there and head straight to school for parent-teacher conferences at 4:45 and 5 with both teachers. And there, he'll get another reality check. He's going to get slammed twice today, so I'm happy about that, but nervous about how angry he might be since this will all be a shock to him. :headache:

you know I'm just a worrier, and I'd hate to have all your hardwork for Ray go to her

Thanks so much for all your support Nan. It's very touching. But hopefully it won't come down to that. All his daughter knows is that he's being taken care of and it's not costing her anything. I'd like to keep it that way.

And it is such good news that you and John will have this relief in your budget. One closer step to Delaware :woohoo: (and I'll come visit there, it's on the beach ;)

YEAHHH!!!!!!! We would be so honored to have your company. The beach is beautiful there.....just ask Lisa....she loves it too.

Sorry about the tummy problems again Deb. Hope that has settled today.

So far, so good today. Let's hope it stays that way.

Good news about Ray's pension. Hope all goes well in the working out now.

YES very good news. Thanks for your well wishes. We'll keep our fingers crossed. I wonder how long it's going to take for them to call me and make the appointment. Oh well, guess I got this far and now I have to stay patient until the process is complete.

Yea, I liked Survivor too because it showed some of the behind the scenes stuff....but I would rather continue with the game and see what happens next.

You know what Holly....if it is a shock to him, then it's his own damn fault. He should be more involved in knowing Tyler's issues. Just because he's got his head in the sand doesn't mean that Tyler is not dealing with these issues. He should keep himself informed and help out his son. I'm glad that he'll be forced to see the truth today. It's about time.

You'll have a great time!

On one of my visits to my stepbrother, the whole family went to Dollywood. After about 2 hours I wanted to cram something in my ears to stop hearing her singing everywhere we went! :rotfl:

Yeah, but that's the part Patrick likes the BEST! :love:He LOVES Dolly Parton! He thinks he's on first name basis with her:hug:......also we all like country music, and I heard Dollywood has really added a lot of attractions since we were there so many years ago.

Welcome Home Ken and Shannon and girls. Glad you had a great time and I can't wait to see the pictures of the DIS meet. Hope you're feeling better today Shannon.

Connie, sounds like you have got lots of fun things planned. Enjoy!

Deborah, go to Vegas and rent a pink limo to drive you around!

I can't believe how out of touch Tyler's dad is. But, remember, MOST of the time, even when the kids live with both parents, the MOTHER does all the school, medical, social etc. My hubby, is wonderful with Patrick over the years, but he has always left all the organization and contact stuff to me......STILL DOES! :)

Thanks Deb, that helps! :goodvibes I hope it works out that he gets slapped with reality BOTH times and it knocks all the stupid out of him. ;)

Good point Connie, very true! :goodvibes

I'm nuts to get all worked up over a couple silly appointments, but that man just stresses me out so much. I brought my Klonopin (my Dr. calls it my rescue drug) to take just before I leave work. It works very quickly. :thumbsup2

I can't wait to try that little balloon ride at Downtown Disney! I just showed my co-worker fellow DISer Jan. It's pretty cool! :goodvibes

You know your butt's getting too big when it knocks the toilet paper rack off the wall of a bathroom stall!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

OK, I have to stop reading new stories and go to lunch! Wish you all could join me! :)

I am glad to hearing the you all got home safe...

Sorry to hear that you got cold...

What the weather like?

I remember last May it is so cold in the morning and evening.. I had to buy sweatjacket of Mickey Mouse...

Was the girls on school holiday?

Scottishwee35

Shaelyn was on spring break for last week, and so only ended up missing 3 days of school from this week. Weather was hot in day, cool in evening. We all wore either light jacket or sweatshirt. We did get rain on our last morning, but that was okay, because it kept the crowds away, and the sun came back for the last few hours we had. :cool1: Shaelyn was happy to be going back to school and Kaleigh was happy to go back to daycare. They both are ready to see their friends again.
I'm happy that my cold isn't completely miserable, and work is quiet (we are at the last few days of a 2 week shutdown, so I can do a bit of dis'ing and then get some more paperwork down)

Thanks Holly. Yes, hopefully it won't take too long. I'm still writing checks for him every month so the sooner the better.

Great news that things are progressing to get some financial help for Ray. And Lost was great last night :thumbsup2 There were some really great lines in last night's episode. My favourite was Sawyer's one about "3years and no burning vans, y'all are back for 1 day". I feel bad for Sayid though.

Good luck today Holly! Stay calm and let the school and doctor's deal with Tyler's dad, since he won't believe anything from you anyways.

Yeah, but that's the part Patrick likes the BEST! :love:He LOVES Dolly Parton! He thinks he's on first name basis with her:hug:......also we all like country music, and I heard Dollywood has really added a lot of attractions since we were there so many years ago.

Sounds like you have a great trip coming up. I think Dollywood would be fun.

I was reading and took a nice long 3 hour nap! :cloud9: Then after I picked Tyler up, we ate a quick supper and were outside a couple hours doing yard cleanup. It was so warm today, we only needed to wear a sweatshirt! FINALLY! Tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice, so we'll do more yardwork. We did the front yard and one side, including cleaning up the areas under my front windows where flowering plants grow, and I started on the other side of my house alongside the driveway. Tomorrow we'll do right in front of my garage, there's an area with lots of flowering plants and I'm going to pull out all the dead stuff to make room for the new stuff coming up soon. Then we will tackle the back yard. That's the biggest project because tulips come up all along the fence surrounding the back yard, so we need to rake up all the old soggy rotten leaves from fall that we weren't able to clear out before snow came.

If felt go good to be outside in decent weather! We also have to clean out the garage too. Tyler took a couple toy lawnmowers across the street to see if our neighbor wants them for her daycare kids. She was very happy because she has some just the right age for those.

Now I'm back reading old threads. I'm jealous that you are already doing the spring yard work. We still have snow, but quite a bit melted while we were gone. Hopefully we don't get anymore.

No, we don't celebrate St Patricks Day. Only the Irish and their friends do that here. I've always been surprised how you all celebrate over there, but, hey, it is a party for you all I guess. :confused3 Still think it is odd.

I think if we got a university degree on child rearing we still would have problems getting it completely right, but we do the best we can, and from what I see that is fantastic in your case!!

St Patrick's day seems to be a holiday that people over here use as an excuse to celebrate. Up in our area, it isn't really too big, a lot of people do try to wear something green. It used to be that you got pinched if you didn't wear green. So it was a big thing for kids in school. Now kids aren't allowed to do that, but they do still wear green (at least Shaelyn did in kindergarten, for grade 1&2 it fell during spring break). There was alot of green at DL on the 18th, and I bought a Mickey & Minnie St Patricks Day pin for our collection.

I agree with you on child rearing. It doesn't matter how much you know or learn, somebody is perfect. And that's a good thing, people learn from mistakes, kids learn from parent's mistakes too.

Just booked the offroad Segway tour at Fort Wilderness for May!!! We loved doing the Epcot one, and after the children started asking what I wanted for my birthday we thought this was a great idea. I don't think we would have afforded it otherwise.

Still plugging away through the old posts. :confused3 What is the "Segway tour"? If you've already answered it, I'm sure I'll find it soon.

I am sooo excited! First thing though, Michelle I will be getting the scavanger hunt off my computer tonight. Sorry it has taken so long I have been soo busy.

Ok now to the great news. Matt is taking me to WDW for my birthday!! I am so excited (so is he). Since it is last minute we aren't staying on property but in downtown Orlando. We will be staying at the Royal Crowne. It looks nice and we will have a car so it will be great. This has to be a very budget trip so we used priceline and that is what we got. We will be there April 2-6, my birthday is the 3rd. We are both very excited!:cool1:

You are a lucky woman! What a great present!

Just thought you'd all like to see what my scarcasm test on FB tells me....

You're One Sarcastic Son Of A Beeach

You epitomize the word "sarcasm." Nearly everything you say is tinged with biting wit and edgy double entendre. You see see the flaws in everyone and typically seek to make fun of them, even if only in your mind. You're either extremely popular or you have no friends at all.

The real question is why on earth did I feel the need to take the test :rolleyes1

Go ahead Ian...I'm ready.....:cool2:

You took the test just to see if it was any good, after all, if it came back and said you were only a little sarcastic you'd know the test was full of crap, so now you are pleasantly amused that the computer test actually worked and gave the right answer. :thumbsup2

Yesterday Tyler was all excited when I picked him up from school because it was his teacher's birthday (the regular classroom, not the special ed teacher). He only spends an hour and a half maximum in her room each day, but he still asked me if he could get a birthday present for her. I asked him what he thought would be good and he suggested some teaching supplies so it would be something she could use. So I took him to the Teacher's Store and he went nuts trying to pick just a couple things. I had to limit him to 3 things or he would have bought out the store for her! :rotfl: Then at home I found a plain white gift bag and he colored flowers and hearts on one side (with grass and a sun up above) and on the other side he colored him and his teacher holding hands and made it all pink so he could tell her they're in a pink world for her birthday. ;) He was so happy about his gift and just filled with excitment about giving it to her today. I told him to make sure he tells her it was his idea and that he picked out the items.

I told him he's such a thoughful kid. :goodvibes

That's so cute how excited he was. Was his teacher surprised?
