Not much of an update tonight. We met up with Gaylean - 'nuff said. LOL

Actually today was spent at Disney's California Adventures and later on Gaylean, Brooke and Ethan showed up. Apparently Jon had this funny thing called "work" to do. Any of you ever hear of that ugly term?? I don't like the way it sounds....

Got on Screamin' a few times, Grizzly River Rapids where we got nice and soaked, Maliboomer, and the new Toy Story Mania. It's actually a lot of fun and we went back to it after Gaylean had to leave.

I do have some pics from today click Here to get you there.

The first ride we did was Monsters Inc. and while in the queue for that ride we came across this item and immediately thought of Ian and his WW meetings:

I'm guessing you can't count the calories in those - nor would you want to.

Anyhow need to get some sleep. Meeting steph tomorrow (if she gets in on time) and possibly Gaylean again. Plus we want to go and see Mickey in his house. So lots to do.

g'night all.

Good morning everyone!!

Morning Ken. Thanks for the update. Glad you are having a good time.

I always feel awkward when at events with both his dad and stepmom and they both came tonight. I'm glad we were all there for Tyler but it's just never easy. I guess I just wasn't up for chit-chat with them, but stepmom was very chatty. I suppose I just need to grow up, get over it, and get used to the situation. NOW....the good part....Tyler won 1st place in his den and 2nd place in the whole pack. :thumbsup2 He seemed to have a great time! :goodvibes

Well done Tyler.

Tyler and his friend Kierdan. He's the boy Tyler was slow dancing with at the mom/son dance last week. :lmao: Tyler's holding his first place certificate and Kierdan is holding Tyler's 2nd place one I think. :thumbsup2

Pals!!!:thumbsup2

So since nobody's around to entertain me, I'll keep entertaining myself. :rotfl2: Here's sort of before and after video clips from Sunday. First, Tyler brings his firetruck out of the garage for a spin:

Then, I showed him the secret of unlocking the shifter so he can go twice as fast. Sure made him happy!

I love it!!!!!

Good Afternoon

What a lovely day..:goodvibes

I am working in this afternoon

I came home from hospital and bump postman and he hand me the charge fee for 12.56. I asked what is it for? he said dunno

I phoned post office and he told me that it is from USA, Colorado?? Do you know where about? I have no clue

Well I told post office send it back to USA.. I am not paying for the charge. I had enough with greedy post office...

Then I remember I ordered two tee shirts from printafection but I always received it with no problem...

I got a normal hearing aid but it is temporary until hearing test within 5-6 weeks oh it is much better now...

The Post Office have quite a lot of work handling things from coming from abroad. Part is VAT, part duty, which is fair enough, and the rest handling charge. John says his business gets charged loads, but they do have to collect the taxes and that is quite a lot of work. He thinks you have probably been charged £8 perhaps for the work, and the rest would be the taxes.

Glad to hear about the hearing aid - makes work a lot more pleasant I bet.

It isn't new as we have to pay duty/VAT on items that come into the country. I think it does surprise people though. The companies have to put a form on the parcel stating the cost of the items, and John says some companies put a value lower than what they actually are(in effect breaking the law) to be under the amount at which duty and VAT are charged. He can't remember the amount but thinks £20/£25. Could be this parcel is just over?

Does this mean you have paid for the tee shirts but now won't have them?

Thanks Lisa! I will not be going until Aug, maybe you can give me some tips on places to stay/visit when we meet up in May? You have moved around a lot, haven't you? Great way to see more of the world!

Kathe

We have moved a lot - in 17 years we've had 9 different address - in 4 states and 1 province :thumbsup2 My realtives always joke that they only use pencil in their address books for us since they know it's not permanent. Hopefully by the end of this year we have a permanent address :thumbsup2
