OH NO! Maybe your house is haunted! ;)

Weight Watchers is designed to produce a weight loss of up to 2 pounds a week. It doesn't make a difference if you are a man or a woman.

A man gets more food because a man's body is composed of more muscle than fat. Muscle burns more energy than fat.

If you have 2 people a man and a woman and both weigh 170 pounds, the man's 170's is a higher percentage of muscle whereas the woman's 170 pounds is a higher percentage of fat. That's just biology.

I personally do not believe in "weight loss contests" or "races" because it is setting people up for failure. The question is arriving at a destination and not how long it takes to arrive.

I myself kept giving myself "deadlines" and remained overweight for over 20 years. When I finally removed the time aspect, I arrived at my weight destination, even though it took 18 months.

Now 4 years later, I can still say I am at my destination.

Aye, that what my husband said that as he thought it seem bad idea for 4 weeks competition for weight for winner... he said sound that people stop eatting for it.... oh dear....

My clothes dryer is almost TWENTY years old....I keep expecting to find it dead some day. The washer was replaced a few years back, but that dryer just keeps going and going. I don't think they even make appliances any more with that kind of life span. I guess it pays to keep the exhaust vents cleaned out, eh?

Speaking of laundry...think I'll go throw in a load. :laundy:

Just 2 weeks today, at this time, we will be enjoying breakfast at Olivias with some of the Thieves.:dance3:

Oh dear. It seems to happen like that doesn't it?

Isn't the saying that bad luck comes in threes, you should be safe now! Sorry you have to get a new fridge though.I always worry that my fridge might go while I'm away on vacation , what a mess that would be :scared: Didn't Lisa have to clean out her mom's fridge once, after she moved , and hadn't told anyone there was still food in it? I had to replace my washer and dryer a few weeks ago, I'm still waiting for the third breakdown (might be me!)

Hi Holly!!!
Sounds like you had a great road trip :thumbsup2 You must be feeling better then, headache gone at least for now?

Kathe
Yes, it was gone whatever day that was that I posted about it. Can't remember now! :rotfl2: It started to come back during the night though. I could feel it in my sleep and it was incorporated into my dreams. Strange how our minds do that.. I got up and took Excedrin around 6am and am trying to hold off on taking more as long as possible. One thing the doctor at the migraine clinic told me is that Excedrine and other over the counter pain relief meds (except plain aspirin) actually have a rebound effect with migraines. It goes away for a bit but comes back stronger, then you need to keep taking more meds. But today it's staying at a dull throb, very tolerable so far. :thumbsup2

Mine is that old too. It came with my house. It works fine, except when I forget to clean out the vents. So then I vacuum out the hose and it works fine again. :goodvibes

I'll do my best! Someone needs your number.

"Someone" has it already....and he knows who he is....

You can bet you were included in that original :grouphug: there, Missy!
And here's one just for you from me.

I just saw Peg post on the transatlantic thread...guess this means she awake now...wonder if we'll go to a movie...HEY...I think Cheri's in town...wonder if it's too early to call her?

.

Well, my dad and stepmom are coming to town today to bring the bike they got for me last week as an early birthday present. Dad told me they'd leave their house at 11am, which means they'll get here at 12:30. He's always early though, I already planned on them being here earlier than that. Well, he called me about 10 minutes ago telling me they're on their way. No time to clean now, so I'm going to just shove all the crap lying around my living room into a big box to put away properly after they're gone, do a quick wipedown of the bathroom, hop in the shower, call Tyler's dad and tell him I'm ready to pick Tyler up. We didn't discuss a pickup time, but whenever Tyler spends an extra night there, he usually wants to come home sometime before lunch.

I'M SO EXCITED for Tyler to come home because he'll see his new computer! We're the proud adopted parents of very cute, wonderful Mac, no longer needed by its former owners! :yay::yay::yay:

My dryer was almost that old. It hadn't actually died completely, but it was slowly wearing out, parts breaking off and clothes getting caught and getting marks on them that wouldn't wash out. Since I had to replace the washer I decided it was time for the dryer to go too! I don't have laundry to do today, but I better get moving. I have dusting, vacuuming and scrubbing to get done! I think I'll be going to get Serenity this afternoon for a visit, and my SIL might be stopping in to see her.

Awwww, thanks! :goodvibes That's just what I needed! :grouphug:

OK, I'm out of here. I just called Tyler's dad and let him know I need to come pick him up since my parents are on their way over. I talked to Tyler on the phone and told him they're on their way, then told him about his computer, then told him I got his guinea pig starter kit and cage, and he about went through the roof with excitement! He was so excited, he forgot to hang up the phone when he went to tell his dad and I got to listen to that conversation, VERY CUTE and funny! He's one excited little guy today!

In exchange, I told him he needs to help me clean up the living room and he said, "of course mom, I'll be happy to clean EVERYTHING!" Yup, just a bit excited! :thumbsup2
