I hope she and John are having a very relaxing and restful vacation.

Thanks Michelle. We did have a great 2 weeks, but missed not managing to catch up here!! We ate some great cakes and pastries. We walked loads too, and relaxed plenty.

The first week was just lovely, warm to hot with none of the usual wind, and was just perfect. Then the second week was not so good, though when the sun was out and you were out of the cold wind it was really nice. It was the wind that was sooo cold, but it was sure better than the weather back home.

It has been the coldest and wettest winter in Lanzarote for decades. The volcanic landscape is actually a bit green this year.

I really want to see Watchmen, but I'm not so sure that Sukie would want to see it.

We have park hoppers for Universal for our trip in May. They are good for 7 days and were $99 each. Monica found them for us. (Probably because she felt guilty that she intentionally chose to go on a cruise while we're there to avoid us.)

We haven't been to Universal in about 16 years or so.

This trip in May is all about "doing something different."

Universal was great. Not super crowded so we got on everything we wanted to. It's been about 15 years since our last trip there and we recognized very little of the park.

The Simpson's Ride was my favorite in Universal and we both like Spiderman in IOA. Though we only got on a couple of rides at IOA as we were about out of energy at that point.

Well if you don't get caught up from the start, I'll tell you that this was the 2nd round of we MISS MARILYN...It hit us about day 6 or 7 and again this week so glad you guys are home....

We had a lovely day (as you might say) We took the convertible out of the garage and ran up to Paul's folks house. Took his mom out to the GAP and she got Willie some jeans and a pirate tshirt, cute.... then we went for ice cream. Then we drove over to the pizza palor where Molly was enjoying her cast party to bring her home (she had gone over with a friend) it was fun to pull up to the curb all the kids went crazy for the cool little sports car. I keep telling Molly she will have a good lure for her prom date, if he is nice enough to us let him drive that car

HOORAY!!! After skipping 2 weeks, Desperate Housewives is finally on again! Woohoo!! I was going through withdrawals!

We're staying at Old Key West, which will also be a first for us. I'm really hoping we get our request and we get a room on the canal. I'd love to have coffee out on the balcony in the morning and look at the water.

I did have a bit of good news this week that sort of relates to our May holiday. I am now signed up for a conference that's being held in Evanston (the town directly to the north of Chicago and the birthplace of the American Temperance movement) from April 28th to May 1st. The good news is that the day we leave I will not be working downtown. It is really easy for me to hurry home from Evanston and for us to just jump on the "L" to Midway.

I did have a bit of good news this week that sort of relates to our May holiday. A friend of mine is in Evanston for a month before he moves to Albuquerque. He wanted me to try to visit him before he leaves for NM, and I told him if I did, I'd want to try to find you and Sukie and visit you guys too! But it just didn't work out and I think he's only there another week. Bummer.

I just discovered that somehow, when Tyler and I were out a couple weeks ago at a pet store, I bought a Webkins for myself and not one for him.

It started because he saw the stuffed animal section and when we were looking there, he found a camouflage carrying bag that he wanted for his pet guinea pig (not a real one). So he did get something, and he found a Siamese cat stuffed animal for me (because I really want a real one but don't want to take care of a pet yet). Well, he took the tag off his Webkinz carry bag in the car and stuffed it somewhere because he likes to keep the tags that come on things. I never even took the cat out of the bag (no pun intended...LOL) until yesterday. I just forgot about it. So when I took the tag off, when Tyler saw it, he told me "MOM, IT'S A WEBKINZ!" Then he somehow realized that his bag is from Webkinz too.

So after supper, we both had our first Webkinz experience. Very cute, but I couldn't do much because since my computer screen is so small, I can't see the whole page, and the arrow up and down buttons don't work unless it's a screen that has a scroll bar on the side. So that made me realize that when I finally get around to getting a computer for Tyler, it needs to be a desktop (or a bigger laptop) so we don't have this problem again.

But I love my cute Siamese kitty! Now, next time I'm bored at work, I can go to Webkinz World!!!
