You west coasters (& Michelle) sure were chatty last night. Thanks for NOT closing out the thread :lmao:

JOHN

So good to see you! Thank you also for sharing that article about Manuel, that was very touching. Sorry that life is so busy for you, but remember we are always here for you to visit. Please give Amy & Sophia hugs for us.

Make sure he's in a squirrel suit...

you haven't seen our wedding video!

Ken was "staying alive, staying alive, oooo, oooo, oooo, oooo"! :dance3:

I love just popping in from time to time, never know what I'm going to discover  :lmao: :lmao:

Morning everyone!

Have a great Saturday.

We're branching out and giving Universal a try today - we haven't been there since IOA and Citiwalk were built so it's been a while.

And Watchmen was great! Not a typical superhero movie. This shows not only are they human (all but the blue guy) but are dysfunctional too. It is almost 3 hours long though. Oh and we saw it in IMAX.

Enjoy your day at Universal Lisa!

Apparently a lot of chatter overnight, but apparently no one has the moxie to be up with the larks this morning.

I miss Marilyn. She was the only one around on Saturday morning when I was. And today I woke up very late. I got out of bed at 7AM!

Sort of a poopy weekend. I have only today to myself.

Tomorrow morning I have my usual WW meetings, but then I have to be back at 7PM for a special 2 hour training class on a new initiative that is being launched. It's mandatory training for all meeting leaders who work at the center, and tomorrow is the only session that fits my schedule.

The WW center I work at is one of the early adopters for the initiative. It's BIG deal. Then later the initiative will roll out nationwide.

So that sort of kills Sunday for me. I get back home at 1PM and then have to leave again by about 6:30PM.

Morning Ian!

Good morning Ian! Good morning Monica! Hope you have great weekends, work and all.

I woke up very early too, 9:00 ;) I worked late though, and didn't crawl into bed until 2 AM. Yesterday it was lovely and sunny and warm. Today is dark and gloomy and cooler, we're only at 4C(40F) right now.

I miss Marilyn too. I bet they're having a great vacation though!

Kathe

:wave2: everyone!!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Here is what I've been doing for the last 2 days at work (in between phone calls).....

http://monicasadventures2003-2006.blogspot.com/2009/03/italy-march-24-april-3-2003.html

I posted my very 1st tr - my trip to Italy in 2003. Next will be Australia.

Please only read it if you want to....no pressure at all. There are no pics for the Italy trip as it stands right now (this was the last trip prior to having a digital camera).

Monica, I'm looking forward to reading this later today:thumbsup2 I'm only allowing myself a few minutes to read here this morning, I must get some things around the house done today, so this will be my reward later on!

Hi everybody . . .

I know I have been gone for quite a while. Many of you heard about my brother, and I thought I would share this article that was in our local paper today.

http://www.cantonrep.com/archive/x1362400370/McKinley-students-help-teacher-battle-cancer

He was elected to the Ohio Speech Coach Hall of fame, and we went to the ceremony today in Cincinnati. While he is still very weak, and walking with a cane, it is still a miracle that he is still with us.

Not a whole lot more to update. Work is still a tough, Amy and I got Kindles when the new one came out as an Anniversary gift (a bit early), and Sophia is at a slumber party tonight so I had some time to sit and surf.

I hope you are all well, and that this awful economy has not burdened you too much. I sure miss talking to everyone, but it seems that life is so busy now, I barely have time to think anymore.

Hi John! Thanks for sharing this artlcle with us. We miss chatting with you too

Nan

I missed you posting about Molly's opening show. I bet it was a great night for all of you :goodvibes

By the way, I'm blue too!

Kathe

Well Shannon is making dragon fruit melon juice with Pineapple malibu and 7-up.

It's actually not to bad ...

And of course we are drinking them out of DCL glasses. Which makes them taste even better.

What's dragon fruit?

Okay, my coffee is gone and I'm off to tackle some chores then some shopping. Hope everyone has a great day!

Kathe

Good, come and join us!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Wish I could! But you know what? A couple days ago I saw roundtrip from Detroit to LAX for less than $100 with Spirit. It was $18 heading there and I think $59 on the way back sometime in April!

Good Morning Holly! Sorry I'm leaving but just wanted to say hi first  I'll hopefully get to chat more later!

Kathe

Okay, the "classics" drink menu includes a Pink Squirrel which I've never heard of, but it sounds yummy. :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, that's what my stepmom used to get at the bowling alley every week when she and my dad were on a league when I was a little kid in the 70s! :rotfl2:

Good morning Kathe (but you're gone by now). Sorry I missed this before you left, I was busy catching up! ;)

our heat is on right now

I checked on their site and it says there's only one, and it's in a city in MI that I've never even heard of! ;)

Our heat is off too. It's 40F out but rather warm in the house. It is supposed to get up to about 65F by Wednesday.

Crappy day today though, very heavy rains.

I'm glad to be back inside.

I really want to see Watchmen, but I'm not so sure that Sukie would want to see it.

We have park hoppers for Universal for our trip in May. They are good for 7 days and were $99 each. Monica found them for us. (Probably because she felt guilty that she intentionally chose to go on a cruise while we're there to avoid us.)

We haven't been to Universal in about 16 years or so.

This trip in May is all about "doing something different."
