Now there's one cute couple!! :thumbsup2

Well fortunately you didn't gain it all back yet and you'll be losing it soon with all the exercising that you're doing with the tapes. Keep it going. It'll come off soon.

Yes, I do agree that Tyler looks so handsome.:cool2:
Close enough to all of it. Only 6 more pounds and it's all back. I haven't been doing the workout every day, but have been 3-4 times a week. Since that's more than NOTHING, and I honestly have been eating better than I used to, you'd think I'd at least see a pound or 2 drop. Nope. Oh well, it's bound to work eventually! :thumbsup2

Sorry you won't be spending the changeover day onboard with us Deb. We might not be able to do the second cruise either if the exchange rate doesn't improve, but we have airfares paid, so we would still have to get accommodation in Orlando or somewhere else.

In some ways we are kinda lucky here in Canada. Our exchange rate with the US as far back as I can remember, has mainly stayed the same (about $1.25 CDN to $1.00 US). Around the time of the PC cruise the CDN dollar creeped up to be either close to on par or even slightly ahead of the US greenback. Since the "recession" the CDN $ has fallen back to what we are used to it being ($1.25/$1.00). So the exchange rate, while nicer before for traveling, isn't really much of a factor for us because we are used to this current rate.

Plus with a lower exchange rate it helps our exports to the US. Some of our exporters were feeling the pinch when the CDN dollar rose so much before.

Here's a conversation I just had with Shaelyn:
Shaelyn: Mom, are you and Daddy thinking about going to Disneyland?
Me: yup, one day we'll go there again
Shaelyn: But what am I doing next week since I'm not going to daycare?
Me: I can't go to work next so you kids are staying with me.
Shaelyn: awwww then I miss skating and swimming with daycare.
Me: don't worry, we can go swimming
Shaelyn: but what about skating?
Me: we'll see, I don't know exactly what we'll do, maybe we'll go to Prince George.

So, Shaelyn has successfully been diverted, and I didn't actually lie to her :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Very cute - can't wait to see the video of the "reveal" :goodvibes

Yes, I'm sure Shaelyn will be way too excited to be annoyed with you!

I had a great day, thanks for asking. It was very windy here this morning, but my daughter and I went for an hour walk together and chatted the entire time :thumbsup2 Samantha called me at noon to say she was not feeling well, but I could still come and get Serenity if I wanted. Of course, I wanted! So I picked her up at 2:00 had her here for about 6 hours. A friend of mine stopped in to meet her and we had a nice visit too. Serenity even shared some big hugs with her too, she's been a little shy with others lately so I was glad she was her usual loving self! My friend has been battling cancer for quite some time now, and Serenity's hugs brought her to tears, in a good way, if that makes sense at all? Once again, I am exhausted, but happy.

Kathe

Thanks for sharing the story :goodvibes I understand 100%. (You should have seen me when I heard Sydney call me "Taita" for the 1st time (where you could make out what she was saying :cutie: ))

Holly - loved the pic from the dance - thanks for sharing :)

Way to go on the exercising :thumbsup2 While things may not show yet on the scale it will & you'll see it in how your clothes start to fit.

Loved the email that Tyler's teacher sent you.....see WE knew WE were right!

Glad you had a nice visit with Serenity! I understand what you mean about "good tears".

One of my favourite memories of Shaelyn and my grandmother, is when Nana was in the hospital at the end, I took Shaelyn to visit her and Nana would be smiling with tears in her eyes when Shaelyn would hug her and jabber at here. Shaelyn was only 15 months old, and her middle name is Marie after Nana.

Time to go read a story to my girls and get some studying done. Good night folks.

Ouch so sorry to hear about that Deb! I know how much I hate cancelling vacations because I get so prepped for them. But in today's world we all must do what we must.

I know as a manager the person who approves vacation time I absolutely hate saying no to any request, and even worse when I have had to cancel someone's vacation time due to events occurring within the business (yes I have had to do that on occassion). It is a difficult thing for all involved.

But we will get out of this and back to "normal" - whatever that is.. ;

Well it's just not going to be this year. Maybe we can do a back to back next year....Oh, we're doing the Christmas cruise....that's already very expensive so it won't happen next year. Oh well.

We took the grandkids to WDW one year while they were young. We told them that we were taking a road trip out of state to see a friend of Pops. We fed them a big dinner very late and loaded them into the car to drive overnight. When they woke up in the morning they saw Mickey signs on the road and screamed when they realized where we were. We do have pictures somewhere???? We never lied either because John did meet up with a friend from work who happened to be doing Universal at the time.

You're going to have a LOT of fun surprising the girls. Can't wait to see you capture it all on camera.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Hey, those 6 pounds count!!! And doing the workout 3-4 times a week is GREAT!!! The pounds will start to come off and you will feel much better. Keep it going. You're doing great!

I was MIA again due to having to take the vicodin after the last doctor visit. I'm all better now.

So good to see you - I almost posted something on FB yesterday, but figured you'd check in here before there. We've missed you

I have some extremely sad news this morning.....I have to cancel the second week of my B2B in September. John can't get the time off approved from work. The only way we can do it is if we fly down and get directly onboard and then fly home the minute we get off. I don't want to do that. I need time before and after cruise. So we elected to only do one week cruising.

The job scene is getting scary. John worked mandatory overtime last night and will not be getting paid for it.....no money.....he gets comp time instead. They cracked down on the vacation time off too. He had no problem getting off for the PC cruise and we did some days before at Cocoa Beach and a week after in LA and Vegas. Times have changed. Fortunately he has a union and seniority.....he just passed his 17 year anniversary of working there. They would have to lay off a lot of other people before they could lay him off.

We're all feeling the crunch of this economy. I'm so sorry that we won't be doing the B2B this time. Now I have to go and change my car rental and hotel reservations.....fortunately I didn't buy plane tickets yet. We're flying down and back this time. It's only $180 per person round trip and we can go out of our local airport in Allentown right into Sanford/Orlando. We prefer smaller airports if we're going to fly.

I'm so sorry that you have to cancel the Western portion but SO HAPPY that you're still doing the Tortola one. And just think - you'll have the 10 day (or are you on the 11 day) one over Christmas to look forward to, too.

PM me the info for the car rental - let me see what I can find for you :thumbsup2

:grouphug: :grouphug: to you both

I owe I owe so it's off to work I go.

Catch ya on the flip side.

Have a good day all.

I get to go home today!!

Have a good day, Ken - give your girls (all 3) hugs for us when you get home.

Thanks Monica, you're right, the scale will eventually move. :goodvibes

I missed you too!!!

YES.....I'm SO HAPPY that I'm still doing Tortola with you and my other friends.

We're doing the 11 night Southern at Christmas. That's going to be an all time favorite of mine port-wise.....The PC will always be my favorite people-wise.

How are your plans coming for your Baltic coming up? Are you finished and ready to go? Not much longer now.

I'll send the PM soon. Thanks for offerring to help.

I've decided NOT to take my camera and I won't take a single picture. All pictures will be done via the photopass ...

Not like you? Everytime I saw you on Panama Cruise, you always with Camera...:lmao:

Well, I guess I should sign off.

Which means it is my responsibility to say to Deborah and Marilyn:

Holly, Tyler look grown up now... and you both look superb..

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I think you have got it completely correct Ian.

Sorry you won't be spending the changeover day onboard with us Deb. We might not be able to do thi second cruise either if the exchange rate doesn't improve, but we have airfares paid, so we would still have to get accommodation in Otlando or somewhere else.

Yes, I think the downturn in the economy is beginning to bite more and more. I'm sorry about John's work rules etc, but at least he has the job and as you say not likely to be laid off anytime soon.

Holly, great photo.

My husband told me that last night that he is not happy with exchange dollars as it still poor... he said no way to pay Cruise for Baltic next year with it... I am dreading if he want to cancel it but he said wait until end of this year... Oh dear...

We are going to Aberdeen and Fraserburgh to visit my family for a week in April but Ian forgot that his workmate's partner baby due by 24 March and he might not get it... So wait and see as he said carry on planning if he heard the news he go back to Edinburgh oh well.. hope baby born now lol...

If we cancel the Cruise for Baltic (well I hope not)

Are we losing the deposit?
