That is what I was wondering. Is it quite obvious? I thought we had to take a ferry.

No ferry, just walk across the street. You can see it right when you get off the ship. But I suppose it depends on which position the Magic will be in. When I went on Carnival it was the first or 2nd ship in and that put us directly across the street from the tramway, but it would be a further walk if your ship is the last one in.

No ferry needed. We wanted to do it one time and our friends went and told us all about it. You walk past all the shops at the terminal where the ships dock. Then you go up lots of steps to get to the trams. It's great if you're in shape to do it. I would not make it. So even though we had tickets, we didn't do it. It's usually very hot outside too. Our friends had a good time and enjoyed it. You and John will do fine.

Hmmm.....I'm wondering if there are 2 different places to dock. When I did it, I don't remember seeing a terminal building, we just walked through a metal gate and right across the street, no steps. That's odd.

I am so glad today is almost over. I hope no one has been effected by the storms....

We're very affected.....as I'm sure many on the East Coast are.....Lisa and Michelle and Kathe.

I hope you start feeling better soon V. Get some rest and drink lots of fluids.

I'm glad he is feeling so well Holly :thumbsup2 You need to get him back on his meds though so he stays that way! Don't you just hate waiting for dr's to call back

Thanks Marilyn, and good morning  Please don't tell Nan I'm going in to work! I won't be sharing my office with anyone tonight and will try to keep my distance from everyone tomorrow. Of course, half the employees are sick right now so we've probably all shared the germs by now! I have plans to keep Serenity overnight on Saturday and to have her mom over for dinner Sunday, so I just hope I'm better by then!

Kathe

okay this is a little different in my mind, not sure why, but I guess you know you are sick and you will AVOID talking and touching people and wash your own hands lots of times, where as a kid will just interact with their peers like nothing is wrong. And kids are gross in general, they slobber all over other people and things, this is what bugs me I guess.

Also strep is a very dangerous thing. If not treated it can lead to heart issues. I was scared into taking my medicine as a child on this fact!!!

Just because I thought we could all use a little break today....here's the hotel in St. Thomas that Monica sent me. I'm going to book it for my Tortola cruise. Don't we all wish we were there right now.

Visiting For The Day?

No Entrance Fees or Day Passes Required!!!

I know you might want the shower and stuff on site, but for me I might just join ya and hang out and then head back to the ship and shower. Wanna play and drinking mate that day maybe???

although Marilyn did make that tram sound kinda fun too :cool1:

We went out to the grocery store, then stopped to get Subway to bring home for lunch. Tyler decided he didn't want Subway and wanted to just eat something from home. After lunch I went out to finally shovel while Tyler continued the Pirate's saga. :rotfl2:

I had to call the doctor's office again because nobody ever called me back. This time, instead of leaving a voice mail where they told me to, I specifically asked the receptionist to personally give a message to the doctor. She told me Tyler's doctor is out today, that's why I never got a return call. Well, you'd think that if the doctor isn't in today, the receptionist wouldn't have had me leave a voice mail for her (and I did tell her in advance what was up). Anyway, as I was typing the first part of this post, a nurse called me back. She told me she's' not surprised that this made him throw up because she said Augmentin is very rough on adult stomachs too. :scared: So why give it to a kid?! :sad2: It wasn't given to us by Tyler's doctor because she didn't see us yesterday. They just squeezed us in with whoever they could because I was demanding the strep test right away that day.

ANYWAY, they're going to call something in soon and the pharmacy will call me when it's ready. Good grief!

We've had Augmentin LOTS of times here. It is gross but it is the first round of antibotics to fight strep. If you just jump to the other stuff then you run the risk of the antibotics becoming risistant to treating the illness. Did you try to have him eat a little bread before he took the med? Also we always have a glass of water ready to choke the stuff down afterwards.

Good luck, being sick is no fun. We've had so many cases of strep and before that ear infections that it's just sadly normal for us now.:sad2:

And your pirate stories are totally funny and I could see what it was he was creating there.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Gotta take Molly to an ortho appointment. See ya later

Actually you're right Holly, there is no terminal building. I just called it a terminal because that's where all the ships dock and it's right across the street from all the stores.....it's like terminal shopping to me. But I know you have to walk to the end of the stores and then you go up the steps to the trams. I wonder if there are different places for the ships to dock. Were you on Disney at the time? We have only cruised Disney and we have been to St. Thomas twice and both times we docked in the same place.:confused3

Perhaps there would be time to do both the skyride and the hotel if they are not far apart.

Hope Molly is OK.

YES YES YES.....you can come with us we'll be at the pool and the beach and the bar. I think it's 2 miles from where we dock, we can take a taxi.

I LOVE the no pay for the day rate. More money for drinks. For that price, I can shower back at the ship too. YEAH YEAH YEAH.

They already sent me back an email.....an oceanfront room is only $169.....that's not bad at all. But I'll save it and spend it elsewhere if I can.

Maybe you could do both???:confused3

Yes, they are cracking me up too.

Bye Nan!:wave2:

Yeah, he had it after a meal each time. I'm just ticked off because now the doctor's office still hasn't called in the Rx yet and I have to take him to his dad's in a 1/2 hour. What the heck is so difficult about them making a stinking phone call. I'm not happy about spending my whole day waiting for return calls from that office.

Carnival once (the time I did the tram) and Disney once. I thought they were the same dock, but maybe not. I don't know. I think the difference could have been the position the ship was in because when we were the first one in, there was nothing to walk past, just across the street, so that's probably what's confusing things.

It sounds reasonable. That's probably it.

Dealing with some doctor's offices can be so frustrating. Dealing with all insurance companies are much worse. Hang in there.
:crazy2:

Somehow Davey Jones is now a skeleton and he ordered the Kraaken to take him over to the ship where the pirates are hiding who turned him into a skeleton. He says "Yip Yip" to tell the Kraaken to start moving. :rotfl2: Some other pirate is hanging off the side of the Flying Dutchman because "he just got finished fighting the skeleton guy and he's trying to get back onto the ship". I asked him what Captain Jack and Will are doing, and he told me "They're just hangin' out". They're on the deserted island where they now somehow have torches. The "body part bag" now has a couple heads in it. No idea where their bodies might be though! :rotfl2:

Well he is certainly entertaining himself!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OH Deborah.....I forgot to tell you....yesterday the entertainment news reported that DONNY OSMOND will be on the next Dancing With The Stars. I know you love him. If you don't get the broadcast over there, maybe you could watch it each week online.:thumbsup2

UNTIL THE

FIRST DAY

OF

SPRING.....

(and I bet I'll STILL have snow on the ground then...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

My neighbor knocked on our door this morning, handed us our mail (which she so graciously got out of our box in the snow this morning...) and announced that she had had enough... she was heading south... or west... wherever... but to where it is warm and not snowy white....
