Ian, hang in there, I hope you feel better soon. And I agree with Deb's advice about MouseManager.

V, feel better soon too!

Bubba & Venetia, thanks for sharing with us, I loved all the pics and it looks like everybody had a great time!

Deb, sorry about Gandolf.

Everybody: thank you for the words of advice. I will call my doctor tomorrow. I went to bed early last night am still horribly sleepy today. Got up with Tyler for a short bit, and slept for 2 more hours while he had breakfast and watched Bambi. I could easily go back to sleep and sleep all day. It's a bit alarming. Thanks everybody! :grouphug: I'll call the Dr. tomorrow morning. Seems that if this were a result of the meds, it would have happened long ago, so I'm wondering if something else is going on. We'll see.

We're off for a busy day. Have to leave in 15 minutes, after I take a quick shower, driving about 45 minutes to meet my mom for lunch and she'll give me a bunch of Christmas presents one of her sisters left at her house for us. :cool1: Mom's treating us to lunch at a place called Turkeyville. Then when Tyler and I get back to town, we're going SLEDDING!!!! :goodvibes

Catch you all later!

Happy Sunday All!

I am up and am going to leave to lead my 3 WW meetings in about 20 minutes.

I still feel pretty crappy. Yesterday, rather uncharacteristically, I took to my bed. After shopping I had very little energy, and was not in the mood for television. The sound just grated on me.

Sukie yelled at me in the middle of the afternoon because I had started to work on the 2009/2010 update for Mouse Manager.

The unfortunate part about my WW work is that I'm standing from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM. I never sit down. Plus, I have to do a lot of talking. Not good with a sore throat.

Sukie and I had a bit of a disagreement over it last night. He felt that I should not go to work and I should stay home and rest. However, I am responsible for getting my own substitute leader to take over my meetings if I am sick or on vacation. At 6PM on a Saturday night, it was just too late to get a sub for early Sunday morning.

I guess I just have to make it through this morning.

I hope you make it through the meetings ok Ian. It is a difficult situation when really you are too ill to go out, but feel you have to. Also, cancelling meetings like that would be a nightmare.

Make sure when you get home you take things easy. Perhaps stay home from work tomorrow. Hope you feel better very soon.

I am in need of a little advice. As you all might know by now, I have a vacation planning and program called Mouse Manager, that works for both DVC and non-DVC owners.

I now have about 1,400 registered users. Mouse Manager is free. My premise has always been that contributions to supporting it financially would be voluntary.

And people have supported it. The web hosting company costs for the associated web site with dining menus and reviews, was paid for by the donations.

But to be honest, out of the 1,400 registered users, about 5 have help out financially.

I am now facing a financial dilemma.

The software that Mouse Manager is built with has just released an update, one which I could really use. The update costs, $299. I am now out of contributed funds that I use to pay the web host. The web costs come to about $200 a year.

I would like to start working on version 2.0 for Mouse Manager and include often requested features for expanded vacation planning, cruise vacation planning and other features.

I would really want to build it using the latest version of the software.

For me to keep going would require at least $500, and perhaps I'm being ornery, but what with Sukie's medical bills, I don't feel like paying it out of my pocket.

So, what I'm wondering is, whether I should send out an email to the 1,400 registered users with a request to contribute to support the continuation of Mouse Manager? Not a threat, just an honest plea for support.

I have not to date, over the 18 months that Mouse Manager has been available made such a plea, but I don't see how it can go on without it. I'm also rather uncomfortable doing it, because it comes down to the equivalent of sitting on the street and begging. So, I am torn between financial reality and pride.

I'm looking for some input, which as always is greatly appreciated.

It wouldn't harm to request a little help.

Is it possible you cold post something on the Mouse Manager home page first? I belong to another message board and once or twice they have had to do that when their server fees were increasing. They used paypal to collect the donations. Everyone was very supportive, afterall we get a great site that someone else is doing all the work on - a few dollar donation seemed the least we could do.

That is a good start.

is it possible to feel worse? I am so stuffed up............I just want to be able to BREATHE!

Hope you feel better very soon V.

I know the doctors say not to use Neosinphrin nose drops (spelled wrong) but I love them. When I feel like you do, I get 3-4 hours relief. They say your body can get addicted to them...bu I only use them when I feel really really bad.

I am sorry you feel so crappy/////:guilty: :guilty: :guilty:

It's weird cause we different people in our lists of scores. Your tied on my list with my CTMH upline.

I'm still ahead of you :rotfl2: and what's with Kaylee getting an even higher score - I'll never catch her at this rate.

My plan was to ignore you and Kaylee since you are working some evil plan to gain your words :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Last night at the party I went to, my friend said she even googled pathwords to try to find the cheat codes because she couldn't believe I was beating her :lmao:

Well then, thank you for rescuing me from those pesky things (I won't mention the "d" word this time! :rotfl2:

alright, the "d" word is acceptible ::yes::

and I agree, your sleeplyness might be an issue you are not aware of, get thee to a doctor :thumbsup2

Nan Bubba says this is just for you:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Well you are always welcome, when ever you can get here.

Good night Michelle. I think we will wait until Marilyn get up.

When I'm in the neighborhood... I'll be the one on your couch... :thumbsup2

I think it's fine to ask... You've been handling most of the costs (make sure you mention the others who help - not by name, but just mention that some have donated...) and explain why you need to do this. I think you may get a good response...

So.. where do I send my $20... oh yeah... I have the address...

V... use a decongestant NOT any thing with an antihistimine AND get saline - you can find it in a spray and also a bottle form. Tilt your head to the side and spray it in a couple of times. It may help.

V, Bubba, Gay--Looks like you kids had a GREAT time yesterday. :grouphug: What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday. Now, for some reason, I want to go to the Wagon Wheel for dinner today...that' my COWBOY restaurant right down the street and I haven't been there in years.

Well, I spent the morning doing some Disney research for Peg. She and Jose are going to hit WDW after the Tortola cruise, so I ran some numbers on MYW packages and possible costs of renting DVC. It was way more fun than doing housework! :rotfl2:

I so agree Michelle.

I just remembered INKHEART opened this weekend....think that may be a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon...especially with my movie gift card and a free popcorn coupon. :thumbsup2

Off to check out the times!

.

Mom came in the other day and announced that Austrailia was in Scotia (our sister town...) Granted I was on pain meds at the time, but all I could think of was that Scotia wasn't big enough to hold Australia, then I remembered it was a movie... :rotfl:

I am back home from my WW job.

I'm absolutely exhausted. In most ways, my WW work is physically harder than my normal job. First of all, I am standing for 6 hours, and then I'm "on" for most of that time. I actually did something I never do, I dragged a stool up the the front and sat for part of the meetings.

The members are great though. I had one member, who has moved to Oregon and she was back in town and came to my meeting. She told the other members in the meeting that they, "Should appreciate him because he's a gem."

That was so nice. I am going to be resting for the rest of today.

-------------------------------------

Thank you to all for your input on my Mouse Manager situation. I am going to wait and send an email to the registered members, when I notify them about the newer version and the new points.

I'm just going to be candid about the situation.

Ian....get some rest!

Holly...go to the doctor!

now, before I head out, here's a picture from yesterday's eight hour 'riding the rails' adventure. Can you tell we're related?

And I just like to mention that I got a little HOT in that long sleeved shirt! Eat your hearts out you Northerners! :lmao:

It would be even better if Diane were in the picture, now that would be super spooky!

Jackie...

I do love you so please take this in that light...

Blow it out your.... (sorry...) :rotfl:

(Great Pic by the way... even as I'm sitting here looking at the ice melting in my driveway...)

So... this morning I dragged my butt out of bed to get to Olivers before they ran out of Hollandaise sauce for my Benny, went downstairs, was sitting on the couch waiting for mom to get ready when she exclaims "LOOK!!!!... QUICK!!!"

I instantly turn quickly practically turning my ankle, but not too much to see 2 beautiful white tail deer in my back yard.

So I guess we finally know what's been big enough to make those tracks in the snow... :goodvibes :goodvibes

We are complaining about cold and snow...I read this today: Pretty unbelievable

Snow falls in United Arab Emirates for only second time in recorded history...

Snow fell on the Jebel Jais mountain area in the United Arab Emirates for the second time in recorded history this weekend, reports the National. The area is 25 kilometers from Ras al Khaimah City, one of the emirates in the UAE. The event was so rare there was no word to describe it, according to a resident

Ian I went out to donate and I looked at the first page and did not see the button and almost left not seeing the "donate" tab at the top - so it looks like you have it in place but you need to also put the button on every page on the right or left sides. And I think if you sent the info out to everyone asking for $2 or more and direct them to the page on the site to donate. I have used Mouse Manager a little but not a lot - but will be looking at it again for our time at Disney before the TA-East. I have willingly paid for other sites in the past so I have no trouble donating to you for something you offer for free and I use.

On your donate page you may want to let people know your appromiate costs per year (with upgrade items in it as well as the yearly fees) because some people have no idea of how much it cost to host a web site (and your cost is very low compared to many)

I wish you much luck - I have donated this morning - hope it helps some.

Krisann
