That was never mentioned when you were asking what to do before. You should bring her for sure ::yes:: And would hubby come out and play?

Nah, he doesn't drink so hanging out in bars isn't his cup of tea. But it suits me fine!

When do they come out?

If I recall right, I think the dates throught april 2010 should come out this fall and then from May-Dec 2010 should come out after the first of the year (2009) but dont hold me to this.

That's my memory too. When would you want to sail?

Do you know what will happen to you if you're not right :badpc: :duck:

Me too and Jon too but he did go in with the kids when I was out. He did go out once or twice without me.

My eyes are getting tired...wish they weren't as I'm having fun chatting! Have a good night, Lisa

I found you! Summer is a lot busier than other times of the year so not chatting but trying to read some every day. Still wishing I was on the ship again but will have to wait. We are leaving for Mexico in a couple of weeks. School starts Aug 1st here so not much summer left.

We're staying at the Grand Mayan - look it up - http://grupomayan.com/the-grand-mayan/los-cabos/

Hi Gydell! This place looks fabulous!

Still no word from Cork?

I don't think Julie has posted yet since the cruise. I'm bummed about not meeting her & her husband & Estrella.

I never got to talk to Julie for any length of time, but I did run into her a few times.

We got the same thing yesterday - I was hoping for the puzzle. Oh well maybe next trip.

I did get the magnet and the CD after other cruises. I'm such a baby! I wanna another gift!!!:(

We hit 108 around 2:30.

:furious: That was me bursting into flames everytime I stepped out of the car today.

I saw on the news that Phoenix was 115º today and Lake Havasu was 119º...ug!

Has anyone heard from DisneyRN about her arm?

She had surgery about a week ago. Here is what she posted on the Tortola thread:

Hi everyone,
Well, surgery is over, and the actual surgery went ok. The anesthesia part was a nightmare, they almost admitted me to the hospital because my oxygen levels were low. LONG story!!! After approx. 8 hrs, they sent me home on oxygen and we had to get a pulse oximeter to check my levels. My husband had to wake me up every 2 hours to make sure I was getting enough oxygen. More to it, but that's enough for here. I went out today for dinner, so hopefully things are going the right way now and that's what I am going to concentrate on now.!!!!! I have a plate in my arm that goes from my wrist approx. 6 inches down my arm. Recovery and therapy will take a long time. I really appreciate so very, very much all the support from all my Panama cruisers who are some of the nicest people I have ever met!!!!! And I also cannot thank enough my new friends from this cruise who have been so nice and supportive to someone you haven'y even met. I have no doubt that this cruise will be very, very special, and more enjoyable than the Panama cruise for me and my husband.
Debbie, you were talking about chocolate covered strawberries for the champagne girls--which I want to do this time, so please count me in--when I hurt my arm, the one thing I wanted most was chocolate covered strawberries. Greg went all over the place trying to find them for me. He finally talked to someone from the chef staff, and they arranged some of them to be delivered to us at dinner the next night. So, maybe we could put in a special request???
Again, many thanks to everyone for all the thoughts. I am going to concentrate on therapy, so that we can enjoy this cruise!!!!!!!!! Vicki

Bad/Good news is Wilson finshed 6th, but it was ahead of one person that was ahead of him in the overall and behind another so perhaps he is still 5th overall. We'll have to see how it falls out in the points. The girl leader finished 3rd or 4th, so a bit of a shake up for the kid karts today. Glad he is done with his race, they always make me so nervous.....Paul also said big lightening out in the central valley. Glad they are coming home.

p.s. see the go kart trailer in the background???? That was Paul's father's day gift to himself. They didn't need to take it today since just the 2 of them travelled but for the longer trips, Reno, Santa Maria we will haul the kart in that and have the pickup for our suitcases.

Well Wilson is still young and he is doing fantastic and will be doing even better soon. He did well there. I bet you do get nervous - I would too. It is hard when they have 'hobbies' that can be a bit dangerous.

Just look at those girls.:)

Nice meeting you, too! I'm fine, trying to stay cool. Mrs Woody went for tea at the Huntington with some friends. Huntington Tea Room

Woody

My kind of place, as you all know by now!!! somewhere else to visit next year.:lmao: Don't know how I am going to fit it all in.:confused3 ;)

Obviously Gayleen hasn't found us yet!:lmao: :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OMG, I'm going to frame this :lmao:

Oh, you're back!

I know how you feel. I need a rest after going outside to get something out of the car :faint:

I prefer your reason for being inside and tired!!::yes::

Only with avocado, which Jon also hates. Hey maybe he's secretly as picky as Bubba. Never mind, that's impossible :lmao:

Bubba's picky???

Well... good night all...

HI MARILYN!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

There were 7 pages after you said goodnight Michelle!:rotfl:

Can we do it again? Let's pick a date. We had so much fun. Is anyone else crying? Where is Marilyn? She'll cry with me.

Don't set me off - it doesn't take much. When will it get better?

I hope they do. Can you imagine a 7 day :scared1:

That's why we're doing a b2b! I'm hoping for something special in 2010. I'm beginning to think I would even go to Alaska if it meant cruising with you all again.

Well, it looks like things are back to normal...

Very very windy today - at least it is a warm wind though!:) I think I'll go and tand outside and close my eyes and think I am at the front of Deck 10 on a warm sea day.:lmao:

WAKEY WAKEY, RISE AND SHINE.

:yay: :yay: :yay:

We are HERE.. Still trying to catch up from last nights west coast jam session.

Nothing from Cork yet.

Hope you California folks don't get any of the quakes that seem to go along with the heat your having.

Doug

.
Now that I think about it that might have been when I stopped listening to them.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

We're staying at the Grand Mayan - look it up - http://grupomayan.com/the-grand-mayan/los-cabos/

FABULOUS!

So does this mean you don't get to go out to breakfast much. That would be a bummer. I love breakfast out.

Me too! I plan on going out today after my Walmart run (one more hour till it opens).

Still catching up and I have this sudden craving for guacamole....hmmmmm

.

WAKEY WAKEY, RISE AND SHINE.

:yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm finally up. We had company for dinner last night then bored them with our vacation photos. :rotfl2: :rotfl: I went to bed a bit later than usual. We also had another showing of the house yesterday. We will hear in a few days if they were just looky lou or interested. It does get our house cleaned though! :rotfl:

I hope you get someone soon Angie. I think I need to get our house up for sale!!!!:rotfl2:

Anybody got a clue where DCL is heading for 2010? Hope it's a long cruise again.

Has anyone heard from DisneyRN about her arm?

I have heard from her too, I owe her a PM to check up on her.

Oh that's a normal day at the Jersey Shore!!!
QUOTE]

I've seen pictures of that. :scared1:

the woman behind me taps me on the shoulder and says "you're not from CA are you? I can always tell.".

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That totally descibes why I love breakfast out. :thumbsup2 Darrell will eat breakfast for other meals but everything has to be plain - no blueberries in the pancakes or fruit toppings for the french toast.I'm looking very forward to the Mimi's berry stuffed french toast tomorrow :dance3:

We've got 2 avocado trees and 6 blueberry bushes in our yard. So, I guess we are true Californians.

I think secretly he is. How could anyone not like avocados. life without guacamole is no life at all.:(
I guess it is a California thing. But then I'm a California girl.
Me too. How strange.
I love avacados..it's definately a cali thing!
I think this is a good thing. Less to share with the other states.:rotfl2:

Man, the California girls should have a guac and salsa recipe swap!

My aunt still lives in the first house she and my uncle bought new in the early 60's and paid less then 5000 for it. And in Santa Barbara no less.

She must be a bazillionaire! SB makes us look like pikers down here.

I hope you get someone soon Angie. I think I need to get our house up for sale!!!!:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :lmao: Yes, in today's market it probably won't sell, but having strangers poke thru your house and critique it will surely get you motivated to clean! :lmao:

Well, its already hot here. I got up yesterday and made 4 meals that required any water boiling packaged and froze some of them. I'll do a few more right now and be set for a few days of not cooking during the heat of the day. It's supposed to cool down tomorrow here.

We watched Camp Rock last night, very cute. But it was driving me crazy through the whole movie wondering where it was filmed. It reminded me so much of Interlochen http://www.interlochen.org/ We did a show there for a few days and I just loved it. I really wonder if the whole camp was locked in on the movie Camp Rock. Turns out it was filmed in Ontario, Canada. DD starts her first theater camp this week. I'm so excited for her, they are doing the Little Mermaid.

Selling on Ebay all day today!!!

Ooooooooo...blueberry bushes!:hyper: I LOVE blueberries. I'm not so keen on sliced avocados but I do like guacamole!

I had to stop and make myself a bowl of cereal with blueberries--yum!
